According to the SC sirens guy: when Nixon Newell torn her ACL, she was living with Abbey Laith, who refused to help her with anything, despite the fact that after an ACL tear, you're basically stuck in one place. They ended up bringing in Kay Lee Ray to help her out and gave her Newell's spot in the MYC. This led to a lot of the girls resenting her and all her roommates leaving. This all hearsay of course, but I love some good gossip.

Some people were talking last night about "reckless behavior". Now I thought that meant in the ring, but maybe that was just the wording used to describe her outside of the ring.

Remember when she was almost killed at the indy show where she was hit with a chair and powerbombed on her head? Women do stupid shit on the indy scene, leave that dumb shit to the men. This is one of those times where equality does not pay off.

Just in case Wrestlemania weekend hadn't made Keith Lee's status blatantly obvious the name of PWG's next show is Bask in His Glory.

I wonder what the story with Cass was? Did Carmella not want him around? Did he complain about Enzo not getting another chance? Did he think he should have gone over DB?

I thought I read something about him having "heat" for that. Either way I wasn't serious.

I remember he had gotten heat for beating up the little person after he'd asked and was told no, then did it anyway. But he still has another PPV match after that anyway, so he might have been given a warning and then done something else dumb like fail a drug test.

Amazing. He must have messed up bad in the last few days to get released so suddenly.

Amazing to think that Carmella is the only one left in that group and would have the best character growth when you saw them in NXT. You never know what will happen.

First off, that whole Trump thing was overblown. Yeah I'm sure Linda would love to hear people are getting fired for being Trump supporters.

Second, let's not rationalize an extremely subpar wrestler getting released. He didn't have Enzo and that's all that mattered with Cass. You can only get by with being big for so long, in any era of the WWE. Big Cass back in Hulkamania days would have been gone in 3 months after Hogan big boot and legdropped him out of the Heenan Family lol. Maybe if they paired him with Miz or another tag-team but seriously they had to have had this tunnel vision of thinking if he raised his arm up and looked at the sky that somehow the god of the wolves Kevin Nash would sprinkle some Diesel Dust on him and boom, best in the world.

He reminds me of those dudes like Nathan Jones and Matt Morgan who they thought simply based on size and past pedigree in other sports they'd be a sure thing. Nope.

'has come to terms on the release...' is typically langauage used when granting a wrestler their release when they ask, i think.

I'm pretty sure Enzo crapped on Cass recently, citing he was disappointed that Cass didn't properly finish the match between the two of them when he had the ACL injury.

Yeah it was weird at first because I was like damn he's shitting on homey pretty good, talking about how Triple H finished a match with a torn quad, talked about how Austin finished the Owen match with a broken neck. But apparently it was more about Cass didn't want to take a chair shot, even though Enzo was going to fucking lose, Cass didn't want to take the chair shot.

I mean, Conor McGregor fought 3 rounds with a torn ACL against Max Holloway. Chuck Liddell tore his ACL in a fight against Tito Ortiz I believe and still fucked him up.

That was actually a good interview if people want to check it out. I swear if Cody Rhodes were giving the interview people would be all on his nuts praising him so I fully expect some blind hate for Enzo even though it's nothing really negative.

That's the problem though. Can you think of a time where A-Daniel Bryan didn't get a really good match out of his opponent and B-can you think of a time where Big Cass ever had a good singles match without Daniel Bryan?

The first match between the two of them comes to mind in terms to your first statement. Sunday was dramatically better than their first match. Also, I don't think he's had very many singles matches since he came back.

I actually thought Cass had his best match ever the first time they wrestled. It might not have been a really good Daniel Bryan match but it was a really good Big Cass match.

Of course he hasn't had really ANY singles matches other than against Daniel Bryan, because he flat out sucks. It's not like they were thinking, the less we have Big Cass wrestle the more people will want to see him! Naw, he was lame. Enzo, for all his backstage shit that fans use to gauge whether he was good or not, was the driving force behind what made Big Cass even remotely entertaining.

That's why I love the NAO comparison because imo Road Dogg would have been perfectly fine for years in the midcard, maybe a little dab in the World title. Billy Gunn (Cass), the look only lasts so long before you have to deliver and Billy Gunn couldn't deliver just like Cass. But together, even in later years, harmony.

Are you talking about Backlash? If so, I can only buy that in the sense he was a cocky big man and acted like it. Otherwise, we're definitely seeing two different things. The match was the shortest match on the main card and he was posing for a pretty good chunk of it. If it's another match you're talking about, then okay.

I've been of the mind that he had gotten better, even since coming back from the injury, in the promo department. I saw improvement from his early NXT promos to the promos he had on the main roster with Enzo to that very first promo when he came back. There was improvement. Then between that promo and up until last week, I saw improvement too. He CLEARLY lost a good chunk of his athleticism due to the injury, which sucks, but that's why I don't like idea of a big guy running at full speed for a boot and being okay falling over the top rope from it. It's just asking for trouble. Look at a Corbin, guy is big but he can move around rather well for his size. Cass didn't have that going for him at all after the surgery.

The fact the tag team never got a championship run, both in NXT and on the main roster, is definitely a missed opportunity.

I mean, look at this singles matches prior to the injury? He didn't exactly get to work with anyone that was good. Wrestling Enzo 400 times in a row isn't going to make you better. So yeah man, I'm talking about the only other singles match to my knowledge they had on t.v. I know there was that triple threat, he had a tag-team match I believe, but yeah that first match was, imo, his best singles match I'd seen regardless of how short it was. He didn't need to put on a 20 minute back and forth Omega match.

Nah he was on his way of being a good performer. However I think his association with Enzo and going against orders where his downfall.

He apparently worked a house show last night, so the rumour is something happened after that for him to get fired today. If he'd been that much in the dog house after going off script on SD then he'd have not got a 2nd PPV match vs Bryan.

Wonder if TNA will try to sign him?

If he has 90 day clause then he cannnot compete on the All in Show.

Up until the last month I'd have agreed, fully.

But he's been heeling it up brilliantly, and looked really good against Bryan on Sunday.

Alright, I could look really good against Bryan, as could my Mom, the tree in our back garden and some freshly baked cookies, he's just that good. But still.

I think Cass's promo skills were highly underrated. He spoke very clearly, directly, intently. He had a good cadence.

At the end of the day though, this is no big loss. There are tons of guys in NXT and elsewhere who need his spot and could probably make more out of the opportunity.

    Done by Vince personally apparently.

We'll never know the real details behind it, but it was always going to happen sooner or later.

I can't believe the motherfucker directly disobeyed Vince.

And I've heard people say "Well HBK used to go into business for himself all the time".

Because that's a good comparison. Big Cass = HBK.

The guy was in a position to really show the company what he had to offer and apparantly chose to act like an ass and go against orders. He wasn't any kind of star yet and had no clout.

From what I understand from several HBK interviews, I don't think HBK ever directly asked ahead of time on shit he knew they'd say no to. He'd just gone ahead and did it without asking, so he'd have the ability to take the heat and apologize later.

Because HBK, even when so loaded up with pills, was still miles smarter than the mental midget Cass

Enzo and Cass are not on good terms at all. Now, with that said, Enzo would have no issue using Cass to make some extra dough. I could easily see Impact paying them some good money to come aboard.

Enzo would be a draw for Impact. Or anyone.

Don't let him wrestle though. That's dumb. He doesn't like it and he's no good at it.

He's a manager. And he'd be a damn good one.

Sports Illustrated claims the Big Cass issue is a combination of excessive drinking, ego and attitude problems...

    https://www.si.com/wrestling/2018/06...conduct-issues

There's other claims he went against Vince's wishes with the midget thing, broke down a door on a tour bus, and possibly a couple additional incidents they can't verify...

Give another year or two and I think Big Cass could have been a very good main event level talent. Just really bummed about this news.

Didn’t rate Cass at all, in the ring I found myself not buying into his matches, for some reason he always looked ‘fake’ to me, I could never suspend disbelief with him for some reason and promo wise I just found him soooooo dull.

Enzo was awful in ring when doing anything but bumping, but my god he was a heat magnet, paired with an in ring monster I think he could have been an excellent manager, his natural ‘dick-headness’ really worked for that, shame he seems to have been such a prat behind the scenes.

I think Enzo is a better wrestler than people give him credit for. But I truly believe him as a non-wrestler leading a stable or something to that affect would be perfect for him. The guy can talk, he cut the best promos more often than not.

According to Meltzer, a third incident was Kevin Dunn specifically telling Cass to rehearse a promo and Cass not rehearsing it...
The writer of the promo got fired...

I'm guessing I know which promo it was...

I was taken aback a bit when he did a Burning Hammer on Daniel Bryan, because I thought it was a banned move that Tyler Reks and Brian Kendrick got in a lot of crap for...

That could be on the pile next to not rehearsing promos, breaking a tour bus door, general bad attitude, excessive drinking and beating up a midget after Vince explicitly told him not to...

Bleacher Report, and a few others, are also mentioning an incident where he allegedly grabbed Carmella by the arm during a heated discussion.

If there was anything political going on, people choosing aides between Carmella or Cass, it's easy to see most people siding with her. She comes across as absolute sweetheart. Cass comes across as rather sour.

I don't think it was banned. The Reks story is that John Cena came at him thinking it looked too much like the Attitude Adjustment. I don't think I ever heard anything about Kendrick dropping Ibushi on his head.

Rumor itself is not particularly well sourced, but the only sourced debunking I've seen was a tweet from a friend of Cass. So, not the best.

    Could have missed something though

Been posted on several outlets including main page. In fact whoever reported that they didnt run that story seemingly took great pride that they didnt repost the news story.

Locally they are still advertising Cass for an upcoming Smackdown Live liveshow in July. Wonder if they will change that before the date actually comes...

Depends. More often than not those commercials are made months in advance and normally don't change. I think that's why they try to make sure the "card subject to change" on the bill.

I get that. But considering they have had plenty of time to do a quick edit to the ad to cut him out I figured they would have done that by now. But probably not at this point.

I imagine it's not high on their to-do list.

It's been a week for starters. Also, it's not as simple as just going into pro tools and sending the radio stations a .wav for them to use. You said the show's in July? Well if it's the first week of July (next week) they're not even going to fuck with it or at the very least they'll wait until the day of the show and maybe they'd have a more updated one with set matches/talent. Rare if it happens. They have more important shit to worry about it.

Anyone who goes "Hey, Big Cass was released I'm not going to this falsey advertised show!" They're idiots lol. "Card Subject To Change" makes it so they don't have to worry about being 110% honest about the card. Just like when I went to Raw 4-5 years ago and they advertised a dark match between CM Punk v. Ryback in a singapore cane match and it was just CM Punk in a hoodie beating up Paul Heyman with no Ryback with a singapore cane. SUCKED.

I went to Ozzfest one year and they had advertised Ozzy on the main stage but he had to cancel a few shows for whatever reason and we got our money back. Can you get your money back if you go to a show expecting to see certain guys that aren't there?

Usually not for multiple group/performers shows. there will typically be language in the agreement/purchase process that protects the company in the event of a performer cancelling.

If its a single group or performer, than often you can. So, if you go a fest or WWE show you're probably dicked.

But if you buy tickets to something like Ozzy by himself or a Wiggles concert, and then they just cancel - you should be able to get a refund.

The only wrestler I have ever heard not showing up and fans getting a refund was John Cena for several shows a few years back.

I remember Stone Cold didn't appear on the Raw the night after Summerslam where Triple H won the belt from Mankind, it was wild. He was in town working out and never showed up on camera. A lady and her young ass daughter behind us were super pissed he wasn't there but I'm not sure obviously if they got their money back or what.

I always thought it was bullshit they would give out refunds if Cena wasn't there. What about everyone else? Maybe they'd become fans of other talent.

They're still advertising Rousey vs Jax for the RAW Women's title at an upcoming House Show. If they're not updating this, then they probably won't do it for Cass.

    New recruits:

    https://www.wwe.com/shows/wwenxt/art...e-center-class

Matt Riddle, Punishment Martinez, Mia Yim and Chelsea Green are the ones people know. Plus an Australian Rugby League player and Humberto Carillo, a nephew of Hector Garza.

But jesus, look at the size of the guy in the back. A legitimate 7'3" Nigerian basketball player. Absolutely towers over Martinez.

Punishment Martinez is what Baron Corbin wishes he could have been.

Before he became "Constable" or whatever.

There's a little video making it's rounds of Triple H telling Yim she's signed.
