I'm gonna get tickets for it. Can't wait. What a line up.
That is a great lineup. They are playing here this Friday in at the Observatory, but the lineup isnt great and I cant attend anyways.

I've been asked if I'm interested in trying to get tickets for Elton John's farewell tour.

I reckon I'd be looking at about £200.

Got tickets for the Saturday date of Governor's Ball.

Very stoked to see The Gaslight Anthem play The 59 Sound in its entirety, Manchester Orchestra, Japandroids and The Menzingers. I'm not familiar with the other acts and I'm not a festival guy but those four in one day sold me.

Here's the three day lineup, though I'm only going Saturday

Not so much "upcoming" as "just saw them last night", but I caught Disturbed and Three Days Grace in Buffalo with some friends. Good times. Seeing Disturbed always brings me back to the days of being 12 when that music was unironically cool. But I'll be damned if David Draiman doesn't have a set of pipes on him. Disturbed's cover of "Sound of Silence" is amazing.

Three Days Grace are like the little engine that could of rock bands. They've been around forever, the radio loves them, festivals love them, and old people love them. They're the "approachable" rock band, that's just a little "edgier" than Nickelback. Their last two albums were relative flops, but people liked their newest one; "The Outsider" and they stuck to a good set of new stuff and well-tested hits.

Just fun shit. We got cheap floor tickets last minute, snuck our way up to stage right, drank some overpriced beers and had a good damn time. Like being kids again.

    This summer, I'll be seeing:

    - Slipknot with Volbeat, Gojira, and Behemoth - That'll be a bone rattler.

    - Breaking Benjamin with Chevelle, Diamante, and Dorothy - Honestly, I've seen Breaking Benjamin a couple times, they're "Halo rock". I've always had a soft spot for Chevelle and its always cool to catch more female hard rock acts. Dorothy especially is like a harder edged Stevie Nicks. Almost a Janis Joplin by way of Halestorm deal. She'll be fucking killer.

    - Korn with Alice In Chains, Underoath, and Ho99or - I've seen Korn once and they killed it. Again, its like being a dumb teenager again. Alice In Chains is my jam, because I'm a 90's kid at heart. Underoath are Christian metalcore whatever... I think? And Ho99or (God I hate that name) I know nothing about, but I wish they'd realize numbers aren't letters.

Also this summer, I might be making a 7 or 8 hour trek out to the middle of nowhere to see Western New York's version of Woodstock. Its not the "real" deal, but that's going on too. This one's just called Woodstock and it's closer and cheaper. So... yeah? Rumors are we're getting Lorde, the Foo Fighters, and some big name hip-hop acts. So, cool?

Was supposed to see my favorite band the Prodigy at a festival in May, but with Keith's suicide which I'm extremely sad about, I don't know if they'll be there or not...

I'm just thankful I got to see them live in all their glory in 2009.
