Are they doing the continued storyline thing through this season again? If so this was a bad start. I really had no idea where they were going with it. I hope we get a few episodes tied into the release of the video game next month.
The creators didn't enjoy the serialization from season 20...
They didn't like that they ended up doing the same thing every week...
That's a shame because S19 was the GOAT.
Thought that first episode was pretty shit. The only laugh I got out of the whole thing was Cartman's jaded reaction to his missus digging him out.

Put It Down
When Tweek is caught in the middle of a petty conflict, it drives his relationship with Craig to the brink.
I enjoyed Episode 1. The Alexa premise was pretty funny. Any episode centered around Cartman is okay with me.
I can't stop watching it.

Holiday Special
In a return to form, a forbidden love story between a white man and a Native American man unfolds. However, the boys' story exploits people’s misery for laughs.
4 ½ out of 5 stars. A-
Don't be so indigenous
No new episode? Stretching their fall TV run for all it's worth. Even though the story arcs have been better, I miss the 6 episodes in the fall, 6 in the spring time set up on nights like this.
This is how it's been the past few seasons: they do the first three, then the second three, then the next two, and the last two with breaks in between.
In my opinion, this year they should've just gone through the first five and taken a break two weeks from now with The Fractured But Whole coming out during that week.

Last night was incredible. Some of my all time fave episodes are the Coon and Friends episodes.

Maybe not. I hope they don't yet to be honest. It has been a highlight so far this season. The Part where Cartman is waiting to go to the pumpkin patch and Heidi is making him late had me laughing so hard. My wife has a tendency to take forever getting ready so I could relate to Cartman's frustration. Either way I bet it'll be a good one tonight.

Cartman is a manipulative sociopath and Heidi is spineless and cares too much about what other people think of her. She's the type of person who ends up in that type of situation.
I agree that type of person usually ends up in bad situations but I see Heidi a bit different. She's stubborn. She's more of the woman who wants to change whoever she is with. Doesn't matter what Cartman does she strives on trying to change him for "the better" in her image. If she cared too much what people thought she would have stuck to her guns. Heidi had every girl in town telling her what they thought of Cartman. How they were happy she broke up with Cartman when they all went out to eat. If she was spineless she would have agreed and joined in with the Cartman bashing.
It's building. I feel like there is a definate direction this is leading to.
Yeah, I was off-base when I referred to Heidi as selfish and whatnot. It's more that's she's desperate. There's a reason why they paired the Cartman and Heidi story with the Trump and regretful Trump voters story.
I agree that this is all leading somewhere.
Probably an epic Kyle/Cartman showdown over Heidi's affections in the season finale.

Wow, Cartman having to deal with the monster he created is a great way to continue this story. I loved when they were both out of breath and shit talking each other.
I laughed much harder than I should have when Heidi started saying "school" the way Cartman does
I loved how Heidi was ripping on her friend for being poor like Cartman does to Kenny. Good episode.
I've been rewatching old episodes. Watched Casa Bonita last night. Man that is a good one. Loved how Butters made the whole town out of garbage.
Butters exposing Cartman as the Awesomemo robot is one of my favourites. Revenge for all the times Cartman screwing him over like when Cartman got Butters in trouble talking shit to his parents.

South Park went through a little dip in quality awhile back but holy fuck they've just been killing it. Maybe I'm just a super fan.

Oh god I want to say maybe right before the episode where the water park was full of piss. Probably a good chunk of the previous 2 seasons I just wasn't feeling and then that episode drew me back in.
That season was full of great episodes for me. The Ring, The Coon, Fishsticks, The Pinewood Derby, Fatbeard, Butter's Bottom Bitch, W.T.F., Whale Whores, The F-Word and Dances With Smurfs are all awesome episodes. To each his own though.
Seasons 18, 19, and 20 are some of the best episodes ever made. Freemium Isn't Free and Tweek x Craig are the only episodes from them 3 seasons that I didn't like.
I only watch South Park sporadically, but my enjoyment of any Canada bashing episode is light years ahead of any others.

Parker and Stone's take on anxiety is daft, though. I'm sure some people try to exploit it like Cartman, but it's definitely a real issue that warrants discussion when it comes to mental health. That last episode felt like they briefly read or heard something related to anxiety and then decided to write an episode based on their limited knowledge of the subject.
This describes a lot of South Park episodes, though...
i.e. they went against scientific consensus on Global Warming for nearly two decades...
I'm a few eps back but the RDR2 stuff in the Al Gore episode was great. I'm serial.

900 million deal signed for 6 more seasons of south park and 14 movies/spinoffs. That is unreal money.
It's a lot. They are smart guys with the business stuff. Good on them. Always nice to see the money go into the artists' hands, no more so than in this case where they are writing and directing every episode and perform most of the voices. For that reason, I think they deserve to be higher paid than someone like Matt Groening who created an incredibly franchise but doesn't still drive it.
South Park 4 Life. Wonderful news. 14 movies/spinoffs, that has me very curious. I've always wondered why they never did another theatrical release. It's been 20 years. Something like Coon and Friends would've been perfect.

Agreed. Trey said in a interview they toyed with Imaginationland being a movie but ultimately decided to make it a 3 part episode story.

Ok I'm going to make it my mission to keep this thread a little more active because I know we have quite a few fans still around.
Incredible episode last night. It still blows me away that I've been watching South Park since I was in high school and they still manage to knock it out the park. It was so disturbing. Cartman with the fake titties and the Manbear Pig story going the way it did................what the fuck lol.
I'm curious what's next. Hopefully an actual season. I dig the specials, but it feels like we need a full season of this madness.
