    The only humorous part was the place they bought the stuff...with Cartman throwing those snap things. The swap meet here is identical. I've actually bought "ninja weapons" at places like that. Maybe it wasn't funny because it was too real for me.

    What about Cartman with his Inviso Powers sneaking across the stage?

    There was no element of surprise. If we had gone the whole show seeing them as their alter-egos, THEN we see that they're just playing.. it would have been funny. It was just one of those things we knew was going to happen.

    I thought it was awesome. Just when I thought South Park was starting to get lame too.

    Crazy talk. It was brilliant...the great storylines, the brilliant lines ('oh well...I'll have to murder one of these other dogs'), the quality scenes (Cartman's 'invisible' sneaking is up there with the most I've ever laughed at South Park), plus the superb use of manga animation...AND THE SONG. Protect my balls!

    I loved it. South Park just keeps getting better and better.

    Oh come on...the way the two types of animation segued into each other was part of the hilarity...three times in particular come to mind where this is evident.

    1) When they're in their manga mode, and they get into their attack positions, then it switches back to normal mode and Craig is just staring at them...very funny.

    2) When Butters becomes Professor Chaos, and is storming down the stairs, breaking everything. Then it reverts back to normal mode and you see Butters jumping around and putting on a stupid voice. Very, VERY funny.

    But most of all, 3) Where they're fighting as the warriors in manga mode, and Kenny throws the star...you assume it's part of their play-fighting thing, then it goes back to normal mode and Butters has the star in his eye and is crying...SHIT-YOUR-PANTS HILARIOUS!

    The best part with Butters is when he had to take the pie to the store, and it went back to Professor Chaos breaking and smashing shit holding a pie.

    That was great...

    Cartman: I told you, Bulrog has lots and lots of powers
    Kyle: Okay, from now on, you only get to have one power, so what is it?
    Cartman: Okay, my power is, I get to have all the powers I want
    Kyle: You can't do that, Cartman
    Stan: Okay, from now on, you don't get to have any powers
    Cartman: Nyeeeeeh Nyeeeeh *waves arms around*

    Also, the "when we last left our heroes" part was great...

    I loved the Platoon theme song "Adagio in G String" playing as Jimmy beat the crap out of his girlfriend and mom. Plus, having Bonds, Giambi and McGwire there to make fun of was classic. This season's off to a great start...

    That was an awesome episode...

    The scene with Jimmy flipping out on the girl and his mom was even funnier because it was ripped off of some movie ... *searches IMBD*

    Body to Die for: The Aaron Henry Story, A (1994) (TV)

    This movie had that exact scene at the end, and it was on HBO recently, and I just happen to see it... so when I saw it on South Park, I knew exactly what was going to happen...

    Good stuff.

    Just saw that episode...man, that was some funny stuff. Jimmy beating the crap out of his girlfriend and mother was fucking genius, as was the 'you better not leave me, or I'll kill you, bitch' line before it...Jimmy is great.

    Cartman learning to be retarded was genius as well, every new 'retarded' expression he pulled had me in stitches, and the one he decided to use, every time he made that 'DUUUUUH' noise, I laughed uncontrollably. Great episode.

    I'm dubious about the attested comedy value of this particular episode, but I shall give it a chance.

    The new episode wasn't as good as last weeks, but still OK. Cartman as a retard = ratings. Jimmy beating the shit outta that chick = ratings. But I thought it kinda dragged at times.

    Better than Cartman trying out all those retarded faces was the music that accompanied it. "Push it to the limit! Walk along the razor's edge, don't look down, just keep your head..."

    And line of the episode goes to Jimmy: "You try to leave me and I'll kill you, bitch."

    The scene with Timmy trying to explain Jimmy's steroid usage to Mr. Mackey was also hysterical.

    Without singing it like a girl, what made it funny is that it's the song famous from Scarface.

    When Jimmy beat his girlfriend I fell laughed till I cried.

    Oh my fucking god.

    And the ending, as with all South Parks, was fucking hilariously genius.

    How did last Fridays (UK) one end? I turned over to watch the last episode of Oz. The cross between Black Hawk Down and Three Kings was pretty funny. I got to the bit where Jesus was killing the guards.

    Wait a couple days and Ryan will post saying how unfunny it was. Even though it was hilarious. The Cartman Hitler thing, Gibson being a nutbar, and the line about getting their money back for BASEketball, just great.

    The Mel Gibson parts were hilarious and probably not far from the truth...

    Great episode, IMO. Better than most everything else on TV these days, at any rate...

    I thought it was great, but a huge departure from what they usually do...it was shock humour, but still hilarious...Mel Gibson had me screaming with laughter, especially when he's chasing them in the bus...where do they come up with that shit?!

    Also, the face Kyle pulled after puking in the cinema was damn funny.

    I don't think it was as funny as either of the last two episodes, but it was still very good.

    I know they spent a few episodes with Kenny's soul trapped in Cartman's body, they went to visit Chef's parents in Scotland to release it. That God damn Loch Ness Monster was at it again, demanding tree-fiddy under various guises

    Another great episode last night. I loved the nazi stuff with Cartman. To this day I still laugh till I'm in tears when I see the first Halloween episode.

    Stan had one of the best lines of the entire series,

    *when trying to get back his money after seeing the Passion*

    "Dude, that wasn't a movie, it was a snuff film!"

    The last one was pretty good. Like Infamous said, not as funny as the last two, but still good.

    "ES IST ZEIT FUER REICH! WIR MUESEEN DIE JUDEN AUSRATTEN!" That was the best part.

    Mel Gibson smearing his feces on a door was the funniest thing I've seen in a long time.

    The best line of the episode:

    "Faith shouldn't be inspired by violence. Instead of focusing on how he died, we should be focusing on what he taught."

    I thought this week's wasn't that funny. It wasn't BAD, but the Mel Gibson character actually irritated me to the point where i wanted to turn off the episode, which was the point i suppose. The only funny thing from Mel was at the end when he fell to his knees and began twisting his nipples and when he smeared his crap on the door. The crap-smearing was drop dead hilarious and almost made up for all the annoying junk from him. Besides him though, the episode was good.

    I think it's great that South Park is still doing this well, writing-wise, after this many years. When the show first came out i gave it 4 seasons of being funny, but then i predicted a huge downslide in quality until it got cancelled by the 6th season... boy was i wrong. The longer this show runs, the funnier it becomes.

    The episode was good. The first episode is the best of this season so far, I think.

    Cartman is gold. The first scene, where he was baiting Kyle, to go and see The Passion was gold.

    "Mel Gibson, Kyle...Mel Gibson...".

    I thought that as well, and we were both right in that the comedy of the first couple of series got old pretty quick, which was why IMO most of the second and third series was shit...but then the writing got more intelligent as the novelty effect wore off and they had to explore new ideas, now it's probably the funniest thing on TV. Until Family Guy returns.

    I thought it was all pretty weak to be honest, the only bits that made me laugh were the fact that everyone knew what 'getting served' meant, and when Garrison said 'awwwwww yeah'...the rest was lame, and boring.

    I only caught the last half of it, but it seemed pretty good. The Butters backstory was funny. Mr. Garrison's "awwww yeah" was hilarious.

    I've got something in my front pocket. I've got something in my front pocket.

    That song was awesome. The best part of the episode was when Butters killed everyone.

    Not the best, but still a good episode. "I've got something in my front pocket"

    I loved the South Park dance group. It's nice to get some different characters central to the plot, rather than just the usual four. That said, I do think Cartman was missed.

    Also, Mrtwig.net has this weird clip online too...I have no idea where it's from.

    At least it pointed out how stupid that "You Got Served" Movie is...

    A couple things I enjoyed which weren't mentioned yet...

    Jeffrey broke his ankle and he can't compete...

    *quack*
    You do a line and I'll do a line, honey
    The only cool way to dance is looking down at the ground with your arms at your side, and every three seconds, you take a drag off your cigarette
    Dancing is something you're supposed to do in your room at three in the morning
    I'm such a non-conformist, that I'm not gonna conform with the rest of you guys... Okay I'll do it...

    "Wow, he just put us in our place...
    Yeah, we just got goth served"

    The best parts were the song that Butters was tap-dancing to, and Mr. Garrison's "Aww yeah"

    That Mr. Garrison song was awesome...

    You snort K and I'll snort K honey.

    What was Mr. Garrison's "awwww yeah" that everybody keeps talking about?? Was it during his song, I must have missed it

    I normally hate the whole "French are pussies" lame jokes on EVERY show lately, however, when stan just randomly said, in a calm voice "You need to face what happened and move on Butters, or you should just move to France... with the rest of the pussies." was just drop dead funny to me. I also loved the "front pocket song". I liked it more than last weeks but still just a "good" episode.

    ``````````````````
    That South Park clip was probably cut out for content...
    Or specifically created to make the censors shit their pants at a screening...
    Which isn't above Trey & Matt to do...
    Wow.. what a surprise: another awful episode.
    The Lil' Kim "cameo" was the only thing that made the episode worthwhile. Kind of like the movie it parodied.
    I don't understand how the episode with Mel Gibson was awful. What would you consider a great South Park episode?
    I didn't say that one was awful; you inferred it. There are lots of great SP episodes, I don't need to name them. There just haven't been any this season.
    Most of 7 and everything before it was good.
    Well, straight from southparkstudios.com, it's the news we've all been waiting for:
    LEMMIWINKS SHALL RETURN.
    This next episode should be good. South Park is usually pretty good with themed episodes (The Christmas ep "Red Sleigh Down" is possibly my favourite South Park episode)
    Sure, I just think that it keeps on getting better and better...the first was great, the second and third were good but nothing special, ever since then it's been gold. One of my favourite episodes is Hooked On Monkey Phonics from either the third or fourth series.
    Instead of you two dancing around for 10 posts or more, you could just tell us your opinion on that particular episode, as you have already made mention a few posts ago that no episode this season has been great.
    The Passion episode was the best of the season so far, but it still wasn't great. It was predictable and the Hitler/Cartman has been done before. They keep trying to shock people but it's just not shocking anymore.
    I don't think they are trying to shock anyone anymore. I think they were going for social commentary, using Cartman. They've been pretty high on the social commentary for awhile now. You know, the allegations that the Passion is highly anti-semetic.
    So basically it's not that the show isn't funny, it's that you don't understand it. There's no argument about it, that post clearly shows that you don't actually understand the show's humour.
    That's funny.
    If that's what you want to say to make yourself feel better about someone who doesn't find something funny that you do... then fine. I have no problem appreciating the show's humor when it's humorous.
    "Ha ha, this is the best show ever. When someone doesn't like it they MUST not understand it."
    Yes, I'm aware of the anti-semite criticism. Bringing back an old joke to play it up just didn't amuse me.
    It wasn't intended as an insult, sir - the post I quoted from you clearly shows that you DON'T understand the show. You say it's still relying on shock value, which isn't true, and shows that you're missing the point of the show.
    I wouldn't say it STILL relys on shock value... but if the shock factor weren't there it wouldn't have made into the sensation that it has become. I assure you that I'm not missing the point of the show. I appreciate good social commentary, and it's not like I didn't enjoy all of the other seasons.
    So yeah... I just don't find this season particularily funny.
    I can only argue against what you write, and you said that they kept trying to shock people, which implies that you miss the point of the show. I guess I misunderstood
    But where the Hitler things are concerned...I'd say the original Cartman as Hitler episode (Series 2?) was done for shock value, there was no real basis for it, whereas there was a genuine social point being made in the latest episode.
    Simon, shock value IS part of the show, by the way. South Park covers a lot of stuff nobody else would dare to cover, and in such a way that they would never do it. It proves a point.
    Change of Plans!
    The new Lemmiwinks episode WILL NOT be airing this week. Instead we bring you an all-new episode titled AWESOM-O. This is episode 802, I know many of you have been wondering where it was and now here it is! Enjoy!
    Cartman hatches his next genius plan for picking on Butters when he becomes AWESOM-O. In this week's episode, Cartman dresses up like a robot, calls himself AWESOM-O, and moves in with Butters. His plan is to learn all of Butter's innermost secrets and then use them against him. While Butters is thrilled to have found a new best friend, the Army believes AWESOM-O is some new secret weapon, and Hollywood is after the phony robot to develop their next big blockbuster. Wednesday, April 14 at 10:00 p.m. on COMEDY CENTRAL.
    well that sucks....
    Hmm, I was looking forward to Lemmiwinks, but Cartman dressed up as a robot called "Awesom-O" sounds like a solid foundation for a TV show to me.
    Well, that sucked horribly. Nothing about that episode was the least bit funny. What a disappointment.
    You're wrong. Awesom-o was better
    I thought the episode was good! I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to South Park, but being the Butters mark I am, I enjoyed it.
