146 million and 4 years remaining for a guy who was afraid and took no 4th quarter shots in his last 4 playoff games.

Maybe the Sixers could get Porzingas for him.

Simmons didn't miss a shot in 4th quarter in any of the last four games. Everything is just a matter of perspective…

It is not like he passed up any wide open dunks because he so scared to shoot or anything.

How dare you disrespect the maxing rim protector presence that is Trae Young.

I guess I’m going for Milwaukee now, would be neat to see Giannis win a ‘ship.

Wisconsin sports fan is going to need something to celebrate before Rodgers kicks them in the balls by forcing his way out of Green Bay.

And now Giannis is hurt. After Trae already was missing today's game

Nothing has been certain in these playoffs except Ben Simmons being scared to take a shot.

I would put the odds on "A current starter gets hurt within the next 3 games" at like -150 at this point

I changed my vote: Giannis has time to win a ‘ship, Chris Paul does not. Go Suns.

Giannis got good news in that there's no structural damage to the knee, but he still may not be able to play on it. Can't see the Bucks advancing if he doesn't get healthy.

Chris Paul deserves to win a championship.

Giannis isn't playing anymore this year. I'd be shocked if he plays. I could still see the Bucks winning tonight though. Not sure about the series. If the Suns don't win, it would be a massive disappointment. Imagine if the Hawks win it all.

It's close. Magic and Steph are sure fire 1-2 in no order. I'd think Paul slides right in somewhere.

Isiah, Stockton, and Big O, but I obviously didn't get to watch Oscar play live.

Those are the only guys still ahead of him imo.

Starting lines for an Eastern Conference Finals game:

Lou Williams, Huerter, Bogdan, Collins, Capella
    vs
    Holiday, Middleton, Tucker, Portis, Lopez
    OK…

I hope the Hawks win the series purely because Trae Young should be back while Giannis is likely done, and I'd rather not watch a team with their best player sidelined. Hopefully the Hawks can at least force game 7.

i do feel comforted that no matter what happens, a beloved former sixer is gonna win a championship. pulling for the bucks, for obvious reasons, but also because holiday was a victim of the process, along with dario, so for one of those two getting a title would be pretty sweet.

want the suns to take it, though.

The Suns beat Lakers without a healthy AD, Nuggets without Murray, Clippers without Leonard and potentially Bucks without Giannis. If they win it, they still deserve but it was quite the path and some injury luck. That's why it's so important to keep advancing because you never know what will happen with the other team. Talking to you Sixers.

it really is insane that we'd likely be the healthiest team next to the suns given embiid was playing through his injury and green probably would've been back by now.

in other news, it was reported the sixers reportedly got an offer for simmons by the pacers for brogdon and a first, which morey didnt take. with simmons pulling out of the olympics to apparently focus on SKILL BUILDING, i wouldnt be surprised, barring a trade offer that couldbt be passed up, to see us start the season with him and see what improvement, if any, actually happened to his offensive game. from there we either keep him, cause he's finally meeting his potential, or he plays well enough during the first half of the regular season that we can ship him out before the deadline.

I can't see a scenario where he stays going into the season. While he hasn't gone out and demanded a trade, it almost has to happen for his sake and the team's sake. Even if he performs well in the regular season, it has no indication on how he'll do in the playoffs. It's promising if the first offer turned down is Brogdan and a first. That probably won't win them a title but it makes them better. Hopefully there are better trade options to come.

ha, yea, jokes aside it's probably a great return for the sixers given that they had to move Simmons. i haven't watched hardly any NBA this season so idk shit about fuck but Harden and Embiid could make a run to the Finals. why not. other than the bucks are there any great teams in the East?

When Harden was here with the Rockets I developed a pretty solid belief that no team will ever win a championship with Harden as one of it's top 1-2 key influences.

    I still believe that.

I'll give it about two seasons before Harden bounces again.

i don't even like harden, i'm just impressed madman morey managed to fucking pull some shit off. the last eight months of hearing simmon's trade value is in the toilet and they should ship him out for a couple role players and a bag of peanuts, calling morey nuts for holding on so long. we gave up more than simmons, but managed to keep thybulle and maxey. i'm just glad the saga is over and the prince is gone.

Yup, that's what a lot of fans here want to hang their hat on with that team, and that's fine. But there ain't no parades for 'if'.

Let's not forget the Rockets were down twice in that series - 0-1 and 1-2 - contrary to the misremembered belief that they had it in the bag the whole time.

No one really knows if the Warriors would've responded any differently down 3-2 if Paul had been there. Would the Rockets have won gm 6 or just lost by a lot less than 30? Who knows.

That said, neither that series nor anything else he's done - particularly after watching him 'lead a team' here for 9 years and subsequently imploding in Brooklyn - has helped sway me from believing he'll retire ring-less as long as he's a top influence on his team. But ya bud, you enjoy watching just what he brings to a franchise first-hand. I'm sure he and Embiid will get along famously.

i am super worried about his personality in that locker room. brett brown did a really great job of building great culture in the locker room, and the fact they've managed to block out the noise with all the simmons stuff and play good ball and stay competitive attests to that. embiid has become a much stronger, vocal leader this season. i do not want harden and his bullshit to come and fuck up the dynamic in there. it's the main reason i didn't want them to pursue the harden for simmons trade last season.

Morey certainly is a bit of a mad scientist, it just never feels well thought out. I did appreciate his willingness to swing for the fences, the man never isn't trying to go all in. But it just always seems like he has zero vision for chemistry or balance in a roster versus just always seeing stars and insisting that they'll shine together.

He creates must see basketball for sure, even if the must see is an impromptu all-star team or a train wreck.

the happiness is mostly with simmons being gone and the Sixers getting a legit second option in return. they weren't winning the title as previously constructed. Harden already opted in so he's on the books next year as well. If it works out then great. If not they don't have to extend him. it's going to be a wild 2nd half.

Chuck: He got traded. He's healthy now. He's playing the next game

If you could pick any athlete in the world to be, Charles Barkley would be a first round pick. He lives a great life and is universally beloved.

The NBA found an even better option that Scott Foster.
Boston has won 14 consecutive games with Eric Lewis officiating including 5 in the playoffs; the longest active streak involving multiple playoff games.
Total coďncidence that Giannis got 3 first half fouls and the Celtics are up 10 at halftime…

@Fro As I sit here grinding away wearing my Celtics hat, hopefully we get to the championship. That Bucks series was physically draining on the team and the fans.

37th ECF trip for the Celtics and apparently that's the most ever by a country mile.

Boston has lost in the ECF the last 4 times they've appeared. Gotta snap the streak. I'm expecting another very tight series, though I don't know much about the Heat specifically since I pretty much only watch the Celtics.

Crazy how the Suns (best record in the NBA) got obliterated in game 7. Feels like the Warriors are going back to the Finals. Warriors vs Celtics would be great.

Been a fun series so far. Games 1 and 3 were very good despite final scores with double digit victories, and game 2 was the only one that was never in reach.

The Garden will be bumping tonight in the wake of the game 3 Draymond stuff. I imagine the "Fuck you Draymond" chants will come back right from the beginning. Should be fun. But that won't matter.... the Warriors are too dangerous. Celtics need to treat this like a game 7 and step up and take this 3-1 lead. I'm nervous... if the Warriors win, all the momentum is back with them.

I think we can all take a moment, to do the proper thing.

And laugh at the Brooklyn Nets. What a clownshow.

Speaking of laughing at the Nets……

Kevin Durant has requested a trade from the Brooklyn Nets…..

I will be unavailable for several hours as I laugh nonstop for an indefinite amount of time.

As a fan of a team that basically owns the Nets' draft rights for the next half decade it's almost impossible to be more entertained by this..

I'll also let everyone know if Durant attends the Toronto game. He might be in disguise, but I think I can spot him.
