'City' then 'No Sleep 'til Bedtime', then the latest one which is self titled and then get the debut 'Heavy as a really heavy thing'.
Sorted.

Man, I wish Dimmu Borgir had the release date posted for Death Cult Armageddon. I'm really excited for this one to come out.

Just wondering if anyone has heard any of the following bands:
- The Agony Scene
- Underoath
- 7th Cross
- Nightwish
- Soultorn
- Scars of Life
- Man the Machine
- Age of Ruin
I came across these bands, and downloaded a few of their songs. Most of it is thrash/metal and there are some quality tunes by each band. Scars of life is class.

I've heard sereral of their songs. I guess it just wasn't my thing, with the mellower songs and the operatic vocals.
...but I guess that's a contradiction right there, because I really like the newer Therion stuff. Their formula is really similar.

Just as a point of interest (okay, well, of mild interest), my friend's local band called Revolution (www.revolutionrocks.com)'s tour manager also works with SYL and they may be doing some small gigs with SYL in the near future. Just thought that was a cool point.

I've seen a few guys around here mention Tomahawk, but i've never listened to any of their stuff. But the other day, i saw an advert promoting their tour down here. What music do they produce? Comparisons? Songs to download?

Its another of Mike Pattons bands...whom you probably know from Faith No More. So I guess thats the best comparison...althought they're quite different.
Check out Pop 101, Flashback, Sweet Smells Of Success and Narcosis.

Tomahawk is the project of Patton's that overall probably sounds most like Faith No More, at least in terms of vocals and the fact he sings a hell of a lot more.Atmospheric, weird heavy rock basically. The band also includes The Mark Of Cain drummer John Stainer.
And Tomahawk,Fantomas and most likely The Melvins will be touring Australia soon.Oh hell yeah.
Rhys,when/where did you see an ad for the tour? 'Cause the dates haven't been announced yet anyway.

David is producing the WarMachine album but i havent heard word on that for some time. Also if you read the news it also says at the funeral/wake thing Dave was surprised David turned up and he said he looked well, which looks like Dave and David haven't spoken for awhile.
Plus wasn't David doing something Dan Spitz (ex-Anthrax) and Nicko McBrain (Maiden) but Nicko has a massive Maiden tour with the new album finished.
Yes the new album Maiden album is finished,

Wow. That's pretty crazy. Junior always seemed second in command, so I'm surprised they haven't kept in contact. But then again, band status doesn't always dictate social status, I guess.

But still who would play on Dave's solo album?

That's what I was thinking.
It depends on what musical direction he takes, IMO. But Ellefson should be there, too. IT'S JUST NOT RIGHT!

If it had Dave and David it would be Megadeth, even if the other two members were ring ins.

Anyone dig Lamb of God? I just bought 'As the Palaces burn' and damn does it rock hard. The mighty midas touch of Townsend is good!
