I saw Oasis in concert in like 2000 or 2001. Absolutely terrible. At least one of them walked off stage during most songs.
Saw Oasis in 2005, one of the top 5 concerts I've ever been to. I'd imagine tickets for these are going to be very expensive
As of now only playing England. I'd probably go see them but I'd want a decent seat. I'm nit going to a concert to watch them on a fucking screen a mile away.
I'm not even sure they'd play the bigger stadiums in the US. They weren't ever really that popular over here. I didn't even like oasis until MTV unplugged because I wasn't that fond of liams voice. When Noel took over the vocals it opened up the songs in a whole new light for me.
Most likely liam the singer? Noel walking off stage would definitely fuck up the band. Bonehead wasn't really a good enough guitarist to carry the load.Originally Posted by BigAl

I didn't listen to anything past the first two albums, so if it was those songs and a couple of b-sides, I might be tempted. But only for the first night, because you know Noel and Liam are going to fall out at some point during the tour.
Definitely Liam most of the time. But at least once the guitarist put his guitar down and walked off stage. I don’t think they played a full set either because the Black Crowes ended up coming out and bitching about Oasis - which is funny because the Crowes are also a brother based band with a raging dickhead for a lead singer.
Early predictions saying the 14 day tour dates will round up 400 to 500 million in profit with Liam and Noel taking home 50 million each. That's a little over 3.5 million per day for them 2. Ridiculous.
They deserve it.
I like some of their songs but yeah not enough to see them live, especially as they don’t seem good showmen and remembered for shenanigans rather than the music. It’s more background watch in the house music to me.

Doubt you’d get that same warmth or interaction with the Gallagher Bros.
Ilwe should make a wager pool on when they do break up. Maybe get @Fro to help do the odds. I remember he liked gambling. I think a solid bet would be 30 mins into the 1st day of rehearsals.
This interview was released a few days before the announcement. This is really the first time I've ever seen Noel be so open and positive about Oasis and especially Liam. Makes me wonder if this is what opened the door.

To be honest I'd rather a The Smiths reunion, Morrissey is a bigger prick than either of the Gallaghers.

I like Oasis, but they are one of those bands where I can only maybe listen to 5 of their songs in a row and then I get tired of them, but those 5 songs would be amazing.
Gotta break it up between Liam and noel singing. Liam's voice can get irritating. I seen a few live vids of him recently and sometimes he sounds fucking horrible. I suspect Noel will be singing more when they tour this time around.
Liam doesn't play an instrument though, does he? I always thought back in the day that Oasis never needed Liam.
Wonderwall is probably their most well known song, but can't stand it myself. Liam sounds so whiney singing it. And bored, actually.
I watched a noel interview recently and he said Liam hated the song when he first showed it to the band. He told Liam he was either singing wonderwall or don't look back in anger and Liam chose don't look back. One of the producers apparently came in and said wonderwall was going to be a massive hit so Liam said he was singing that one.

Don't Look Back in Anger is so timeless. I had to tell my mum that Oasis did it, she honestly thought it was a Beatles song.
Liam says a new oasis album is already done. If this is true then noel and Liam have been planning this behind the scenes for several months now. Noel said quite a while back he had 2 albums worth of material ready. One was an all acoustic album while the other was a stadium rock record. Makes me think noel penned the latter and felt it was time.
