Fiction Fight Round 1 Match 6: mth vs. LemonDemonGirl

Two fighters emerge.

Their feats are fictional. Their conflict will be real.

Abilities:
-super goddamn fast (various calculations/sources have anywhere from 200-660 mph to 180 m/s ~ Mach 0.5, Subsonic Class+ to fast enough to travel through time)
-utilizes cartoon physics that defy the laws of reality
-seemingly inexplicable good fortune
-decades of experience successfully evading the relentless pursuits of a genius


@LemonDemonGirl brings the Lemon Demon

Abilities: Perception alteration (See: the background during Winter Horrorland), Singing, Knowledge of cooking/torture, shapeshifting (maybe? See second picture), Manipulating others to do what he wants, Usage of cooking tools (knives), Likely stretchy (eyes, skin on his face. Look at his 'arrow poses'. He's a stretchy fucker), Cannibalism (Girlfriend IS a demon believe it or not).

Basically, he has a journal where he doodles stuff lol

-Recipes. Likely for 'humans'
-Drawings of Boyfriend and/or Girlfriend dying in horrible ways/being cooked
-Fanfictions with the same topic as above.



Their field of combat: Dr Evil's Secret Volcano Lair




A small island with an active volcano. Dr. Evil's lair contains various weapons, death traps, and lava rooms.

It's time to separate the Facts....from the FICTION.

An indigo blur rips down the desolate highways of the American Southwest clocking in at speeds that conservatively compare to Formula 1 race cars and, at best, can apparently result in time travel. This avian speedster is the Roadrunner and he's rocketing his aerodynamic feathered ass toward Dr. Evil's lair to begin his Fiction Fight.



You can't kill what you can't catch and my bird's scooting along at a clip few can match. Anyone looking to get a hold of him on sheer footpower alone are likely to find themselves left in the dust or, at best, gassed out as this bird's no sprinter, he's a marathoner who regularly spends his days traversing the open road at full tilt. Exhaustion can do half the work as he need only run around tiring out his opponent until they are weak and vulnerable. Even though those hot on his heels fall victim to nimble maneuvering as he turns or stops on a dime, his pursuer continuing onward into a wall or off a cliff.



So if not physically outmatching him, perhaps mentally? Welp, my bird's spend the past several decades eluding the obsessed pursuits of Wile E. Coyote, a 'super genius' whose approach was just that...and who, time and time again, always failed spectacularly. Even the best laid plans of determined coyotes somehow always backfire when Roadrunner's around, as though there is a probability altering aura about him. The weapons and traps set against him always seem to work in preliminary testing and as soon as he's exited the frame but when it's the right time? Dud. The trap setter and weapon wilder always finds himself on the receiving end of his own gadgets of death. Now Roadrunner finds himself in a trap-laden volcano where it's likely they will all function just fine...only when he's not in their crosshairs.



This inexplicable fortune extends into the world around him as the physical laws of reality need not apply to my feathered fighter. Examples: he can run straight across a gaping chasm or into a painting of a tunnel as though it's functional, and remain suspended on a severed rock while the surrounding landscape falls away. Expectations be damned when you come for him. What should happen is never what does.



Fiction Fight, you're all coyotes now...and soon you'll find yourselves much like Wile here:

"Hey man, I'm gonna eat your Girlfriend!"


Ah yes, the Lemon Demon. A truly horrifying creature with an appetite for both human AND demon flesh. While his appearance may seem scary, his voice is not.

He'll sing a haunting melody of how you and your Girlfriend will be mutilated, scared to death, and lastly, cooked and eaten. He's all planned this out, too.

One of his favourite pastimes is writing in his journal, likely full of recipes, and methods of torture. Or perhaps, instead of flaying the flesh, he'll flay the mind.

You'll soon find yourself stepping through puddles of crimson gore, piles of bleeding flesh, all the while a disembodied voice laughs in your ears. Now, where did he go?
Was he even there in the first place? Was this all just a hellish hallucination of sorts? Perhaps you'll never know.....

It seems Roadrunner's adversary in this round has a penchant for wanting to cook and eat others. Of course, eluding the pursuits of someone looking to do that (sometimes brandishing kitchen utensils much like LemonDemon would) is something he does on the daily...



I leaned a bit hard into the sheer fortune that seems to befall my bird in my first post and neglected to also point out that, for as often as that may seem to be the case, he is also no “bird brain” and is very capable of assessing the situation, adjusting things as needed, and turning the tables on his enemy. Please see first post's gif relocating the hole for an example. He will often observe and adjust, sometimes simply stepping aside at the right time, sometimes actively engaging with the objects/mechanisms, sometimes manipulating his opponent into the perfect position, so that the perpetrator becomes the victim. This bird's got a knack for running straight into a deadly scenario and as quick as he is on his feet, be just as quick with his wits in not just escaping it but often using it to his advantage.



So the death traps, either provided by the lair or concocted by LemonDemon, are either going to fuck up on weird coincidence or because this clever bird takes charge and flips the script. Are Boyfriend/Girlfriend particularly bright or does LD only have experience pursuing a couple of dumbasses?

Apparently LemonDemon has some illusion and hypnotism-type powers. As illustrated in my first post with the tunnel gif, Roadrunner has experience with illusions and the unexpected always occurs to the illusion creator's detriment. In another instance, Wile painted a bridge out but this time, Roadrunner ran through the painting itself while Wile, in pursuit, entered the image and fell into the canyon. So while LD may conjure false images, he's likely to find their intended effect is not as he expects. Quite the opposite, in fact. Painfully opposite for him, in fact...



As for hypnotism, Wile attempted it with momentary success as the two stood on opposite sides of a chasm, however, halfway through he found himself entranced by the swinging watch allowing Roadrunner to successfully instruct him to walk off the edge.

You didn't give me much else to chew on so for now, I guess I'll just wrap this up with two words:

Obviously, mth takes it. It was going to be an uphill battle the whole way for LDG anyhow as mth shows why he is a veteran of creative writing around this place. His set up is well thought of and constructed, and when he did get a chance to respond, he is able to do so and expand. A tough opponent for anyone. I do wish LDG responded with “something” as what I have seen of her just in general and in games tells me she is better than she believes. We’ll get it out of you one day.
