if the patriots lose in las vegas this week... with the bills and dolphins on deck... they are looking at a 1-8 record through 9 games and a track to a top 5 pick

and I dont think we will beat the raiders

2024 could be good but this year is tank szn

There's no reason to expect the Patriots to suddenly start playing well this year, especially after the last 2 weeks being the worst 2 losses in Bill's career. If they were going to play better after a kick-in-the-pants loss, it would have happened this past week.

I am disappointed in Bill O'Brien, who was supposed to be the savior they needed, but his play calling doesn't make sense as it doesn't relate well to Mac's skills, and the line is not giving Mac the extra half-second he needs for this largely mediocre receiving corps to get open.

There are a LOT of problems with this team.

Becoming real frustrated with the game plan in Green Bay. Offensively it looks like a guy trying to play Madden for the first time.

Seems like the Ravens really blew it to end the first half of that game by being too greedy. Then the wideouts really blew it for Lamar too, dropping at least 3-5 passes that were either big chunk plays or tuds. The Steelers still look like a mess offensively but are getting bailed out by 50/50 balls to Pickens cashing out.

The Steelers can thank me. When Pickens is in my fantasy line up he stinks. When I sit him he balls out. I sat him last week.

I do think getting Johnson back is going to help a little. It's just a plodding run game, unless Warren is in there, and hoping for the best on the outside with Pickens.

Very rarely do I cheer for injuries but Deshaun Watson’s I can appreciate. A fracture in his throwing shoulder has to be karma, right?

    Fantasy nerds, I need help.

With Joe Burrows injured, can I afford to keep running out Chase? Will he get enough touches with Browning to justify me starting him or do I scramble for a lower level WR with a better QB?

You're only giving us half of the equation, at best. Your choice is as good as your options/alternatives. Looking at Chase as a standalone player, his ceiling is capped. Browning is going to fit somewhere between Zach Wilson and Josh Dobbs. One clearly gave volume to their wideout but it was a mess. The other can provide volume with much better efficiency. Where Browning fits in that scope remains to be seen.

Totally fair on only giving you half the info.

Team 1: Waddle is locked in; am leaning towards keeping Chase in; it’s one of Gabe Davis/Christian Kirk/Jordan Addison for the third WR spot.

Team 2: Probably keeping Chase in, I need two of Gabe Davis/Jerry Jeudy/Zay Flowers/Josh Downs.

None of those maybes are worth consistently putting in above Chase unless something drastically changes for all parties involved.

Vrabel gets fired. I don't want Bill fired in New England, but if the Krafts are going to replace him, Vrabel wouldn't be a bad choice.

Can't help to feel a bit sad / bittersweet after Bill B and Kraft mutually agree to part ways. Kraft's Q&A press conference explaining his thought process as to why not just hire a GM there to help Bill, or to try to trade Bill who was under contract, felt genuine. At the same time I know everything Kraft does is measured/planned, so he had to figure this was the best way to end it.

From what I understand, if Bill had stayed, the Patriots would have been a shoe-in for HBO's Hard Knox, because they've missed the playoffs two years in a row. Teams can decline Hard Knox if they've hired a new coach, or if they were in the playoffs the prior season. Now we don't get to see HBO cameras in Bill's Patriots locker room.

I really need to look into the story behind the Belichek/Pats divorce…if anyone has earned the right to go out on his terms, it’s that dude.

Twenty-six wins back of Don Shula’s career mark, I would have liked to see him chase it in Patriots colours. Is he going to parachute into an organization that’s in a little better shape, like the LA Chargers?

Saban, Carroll and Belichek all stepping away in a matter of days…end of a legendary era for three organizations…

The amount of coaches fired on Tuesday on the slight chance to get any of the now fired coaches is going to be nuts. Vrable to Pats. Belichek to Atlanta and Carroll to Bama. Tomlin or Harbaugh to Seattle.

Jerod Mayo is going to take over in New England.

    Pete Carroll wont coach again.

Tomlin is not going to leave Pittsburgh.

Bill the GM didn't do Bill the coach any favors.

I like Jerod, and obviously I wish him well. Has there been any word if Steve Belichick is leaving too? He has a bright future as a defensive coordinator.

The Pats still need a GM , a QB, and a few offensive positions like WR. I hope they draft Marvin Harrison Jr.

I really like the Mayo promotion.

Pittsburgh is synonymous with coaching stability, Tomlin will get re-upped.

How about back to competitive, first? Do you stay at 3? As good as Harrison Jr is/might be, one of the two franchise LTs is probably a smarter move. Bo Nix at 35 would still be an upgrade, right?

The notion of winning a division and a playoff game after suffering through the unbearable stench of the last 3 seasons.. just, unimaginable.

In CJ and DeMeco we trust..

The refs in the KC/Miami doing their best to protect Holmes as much his offensive line.

SF, DET, HOU (obv I'm biased, but I think if we played 10 times Balt wins ~7 of them, so I'm just picking one of the ~3), KC

Its going to be Ravens/Niners due to the colors on the logo isn't it. Plus all the Harbaugh drama in college football. Christ, I know its not fixed, but man..

It'll be Chiefs vs. Niners because Taylor Swift, if we're talking fixes! I think mutuals want the opposite - Detroit getting to the big game would be fun. And Lamar deserves a shot given how great he's been every season he stays healthy. Either way, it's going to be a relatively recent Super Bowl rematch, or fucking Detroit are playing.

Well since they already released the results a while back in Canada it's hardly a surprise you picked any winners

Detroit getting a full touchdown against SF feels high to me. Deebo might be banged up. Detroit matches up well physically. I'd pick SF straight up most times, but I expect that line to shrink.

I think CMC shreds them if he can stay healthy, but it'll be a shootout either way. Those weapons will keep Detroit in it. And Deebo being out would be big. I just think the Niners nick a close one. Definitely not backing them by a touchdown.

I think Baltimore get it done too, but that's a close call. The Chiefs have been there and done it. We saw it enough with the Patriots saving the best for the playoffs. Bound to go to OT.

As much as I am getting on board with the Lions, the Niners are too good. I expect the Niners will have an easier time getting by them than the Ravens will getting by the Chiefs.

I think Niners win a laugher and the Ravens just barely make it past the Chiefs.

Really though, any of these match ups as a Super Bowl should be exciting.

Kind of saw it coming once Staley got axed. Harbaugh has been flirting with a NFL return for a couple years now, he gets to parachute into a competitive franchise with one of top young QBs in the game.

The Chargers are not a 5-12 team, will be back in the AFC West mix next year.

The Chargers have a lot to to do in terms of fixing their cap situation because they put all their chips in the middle of the table over the last two seasons and came up short, obviously. The roster is getting older and there's a lot of uncertainty in terms of how they're going to fix that. The other tremendous issue was the culture. Harbaugh is going to make waves in terms of getting that fixed. It's going to take time but he's bankable when it comes to results. It feels like it's going to be the perfect marriage of coach and QB because Harbaugh is going to ask a lot and Herbert wants to show his stuff as one of the best QBs in the league.

Jim Harbaugh showing great integrity by pulling a Pete Carroll, ducking out the back door before the NCAA actually decides to drop the hammer.

    National title? Check.
    NFL interest? Check.
The chance to be a marquee name in the city of egos? Check.
    An elite QB? Check.
A five year deal and a shitload of money? Gas up the fucking jet.

Q: How many football coaches have won a Super Bowl and a college national title?
A: Three. Jimmy Johnson, Barry Switzer and Pete Carroll.

    You should've been right.

Lions were so stunned at that halftime lead that they forgot how to play football afterwards.

I see this a lot in the Mets subreddit. People who enjoy their favorite team losing to see the unhinged reactions from certain sections of the fan base. But it’s weird to me. At least in the Mets fandom you see who actively want the Mets to lose “so management gets fired” or something like that.

Agree but I was in Vegas a few weeks ago and this guy was being a royal ass to everyone including racism towards the craps dealers. I had $20 on the table and he had about $700 when he crapped out. Watching him lose and melt down was worth the personal loss.

    Final prediction. Chiefs 31 - 24

Kelce goes over 80 yds and has 2 tds

Deebo goes wild for the 49ers.

Purdy has at least one pick. Maybe 2.

I loved the playcall on 4th down earlier in the drive, Mahomes to Kelce in the flat or keeps it off the RPO. Pacheco is a stud.

Congrats Kansas City Swifties, cope harder incels…
