World Wrestling Entertainment’s board is investigating a $3 million hush-money settlement that CEO Vince McMahon paid a former employee over an alleged affair, The Wall Street Journal reported. A WWE spokesman told the newspaper that the company is cooperating with the board’s investigation and that the relationship between McMahon and the woman was consensual. The board’s probe also revealed older agreements related to misconduct claims against McMahon and another WWE executive (John Laurinaitis) by women who used to work at the company, the report said.

I think Vince is definitely a scumbag but what I'm wondering is if this is a tip-of-the-iceberg type situation and he's a Harvey Weinsten level monster. There have been rape allegations in the past. What do you think?

If the allegations are true, I don’t know if the board can force him to step down as the McMahons I believe still have majority control/voting power (unless there’s a court order) but Laurinitus may very well take the fall.

When he came out on Smackdown, since nobody in the audience knew for sure he wasn't going to say anything, I can understand the crowd applauding him for the decades of entertainment.
