I am very glad you are safe. These random shootings and murders have become too easily accepted in American society.
They arent accepted... at least by the common folk. Government, on the other hand wants to weaponize anything that happens. 1st its defund the police, then its trying to take guns away from people who have the right to keep and bear them. Most people commiting crimes and utilizing the weapons in crime, arent going through the legal means to obtain them.

Phones rang throughout the world. And when we say "world", we mostly mean in middle class American neighborhoods (with notable exceptions in Letterkenny, Ontario and 3rd Earth).
Leslie Knopf's phone tree was in full effect.
Rachel Green was a woman possessed. Since she left Ross (after he cheated on her with a student), she was a whole new person. No longer shackled, she was using all her connections to determine what had happened to Capt. Planet.
Cliff Clavin and Norm were concerned as well.
"You know there Normy, the thing most people don't know about is Capt Planet is that his power rings were originally created by the Mesopotamians and he disappeared once in the 1930s. Turns out he had spent the whole decade helping Seabiscuit".
Suddenly, the bartender turned around and walked over. You could tell he was a normal human bartender by the toothpick in his mouth and blue jeans.
"The Devil you say...Capt Planet is missing? I'd wager a sixpence that won't be good for our flying rock". Jackie Daytona wouldn't have to wonder for long.
The bar's tv cut to a scene from Pawnee. "Live from Pawnee. A scene of terror as a local city councilman seems to have taken over the Chamber".
Councliman Jamm was on the screen, and people were cowering in fear. A red ring clearly visible on his finger. "HATE! HATE!". With each proclamation a red blast bolted from his finger. Each person the ray struck began to engage in terrible acts- including, but not limited to-Public debauchery, pollution, and defiling the corpse of Little Sebastian.
The camera cut to a chrome-headed man laughing. Destro addressed the world. "Citizens of EARTH! Gargamel has diluted the essence of your beloved Capt Planet. but you will learn to fear CAPTAIN POLLUTION. You have no defenders. You shall all kneel before our might"
Even this dire proclamation couldn't slow Cheetara. She had raced to Gaia's island looking for a clue. And in the sands of Gaia's beaches...she found hope. She quickly raced back to Pawnee and found Leslie.
Leslie couldn't believe what she was seeing. As she placed the ring on her finger, she heard a faint voice echoing in her mind "The Power....is yours".
"THIS IS A REALLY WEIRD SHOW. It reminds of the time I had to direct that remake of Three's Company with Tom Brady, Margot Robbie, and Anne Hathaway". And with that, the scene cut to Peter Griffin in a director's chair watching Tom Brady tripping over a couch as Margot and Anne argued over who was going to date Wayne.

Vote MTR. In the last game he was a newbie like me, but didn't have the benefit of any others to help him out. I can now appreciate how lost he was.
There are some I considered but at this point I say Mystery Entrant for immunity because more curious as to how this mechanic will work and if they’ll post themselves or if this will all be done through Mazer. I want to see more how this will work throughout the game and come a fast vote situation how/if Mazer is not around.

It seems likely to me that scum will try to protect either themselves, or vote to protect someone they think may not a big target for anyone, and is not a big threat to them in the sense that they think that person won't easily figure out who they are. They will benefit from the votes being scattered across a lot of different people. In a game this size, how many green/red players should we be expecting?
But then, that makes me wonder. Mazer has laid out the rules that in the event there is no hammer, the majority vote getter wins. And he said that If two people tie, then both are yeeted. It would be interesting to me, then, to see what would happen if every one of us votes for a different person - with 24 players, if we had a 24-way tie, would that mean everybody is immune for the first 3 days?
Or if a few don't vote at all on day one, suppose we had a 20-way tie? Would that mean those 20 players are immune for three days?
Or if 20 players vote publicly, all for different people, yet the Mystery Entrant votes through Mazer and not in this thread, will Mazer even tell us who the Mystery Entrant voted for? Will Mazer give us the results and tell us who us immune?
Mazer has not given us a vote count to this point - is that a normal thing for the mod to do?
Badger's point about giving the Mystery Entrant the first 3 days immunity is intriguing, if only for us to potentially learn about how their game operation might play out. I am inclined to take the other position, in that the Mystery Entrant not having to post anything publicly is a huge advantage for them if they are scum.
To those that have run these games before, or have played a lot, have any of you ever been involved in a game with a mystery entrant?
In the last game after I was killed by leading a no-yeet train on day 1, I seem to recall looking into it on other mafia sites. There were all sorts of game mechanics that a mod can pick from, and things can vary from game to game. One interesting one I saw was that if there are players who don't vote, the moderator may have their votes silently counted as voting for themselves. Does Mazer like to implement lots of twists/turns like players with double or extra votes, etc.?

This is easy. If you're town and you want immunity then tell me and I will vote for you.
Just my thoughts on the matter so far, if the Mystery Entrant lasts past n1 then they’re either bulletproof or have some other form of short term immunity.
There’s far to many of us evil bitter sods that would kill them just for the giggle.
I dont want immunity anyways its ruins my playstyle so doesnt really matter to me i just feel scum are more likely to self vote and have there teamates pile up on them
3pups, in response to your big post, Mazer does like playing with vote mechanics a bit but I wouldn't say he's been known for it or anything. I feel like his tendency is more to create roles that can manipulate the votes in some way as opposed to wild built-in mechanics.
Voting ourselves for a massive tie is an interesting thought, but I also get the feeling that unless Mazer intended that as a mechanic to discover, he might make it so immunity vote rules or randomized or no one gets immunity in the event of a tie.
I'm actually open to the idea of giving immunity to Mystery Entrant just because whomever they are, I'd like to give them a chance to actually play(assuming it's someone legit new).
Anyone you'd like to give immunity to so far?
