We survived the night without losing anyone. Awesome. Not sure how we pulled that off but good for town. This focus group role is giving me headaches. On top of my headaches working on my basement clean out. Hence why I haven't been around as much as I would like. Still not sure how I feel about WhoAmI. Also trying to still get a read on other players. Still at a disadvantage of being a newbie and not knowing how all of you play. So not sure quite where to go. I am still worried about being snowed by 3pups like last game and I am going to go with that for now unless I decide something different while reading things over again.

Unimaginative scum play would be to follow the weak PG attempt with a post pushing him to name someone, this allows scum a soft option to generate a train which they can then loop back around to blaming on PG if he starts a Town Lynch.

Honestly I'm looking at you as well being the one who swung things over to Dreyski.

That said, can you talk me through why you think PG though? Is it because he had a vote on Badger who is at the very least not red if we don't want to go so far as to say town?

I went into it in my post, but I don't like that he never gained any momentum last phase despite being a fairly easy target with his play so far. That's piggybacking off his Badger vote, which stinks and is also just his MO and shows a lack of concern for actually solving - especially when at the time Badger was one of the only ones with a semblance of being clear. His arrival in thread last phase was to respond to someone sussing him and then place a vote down arbitrarily as if realizing it would look bad if he only responded to heat without "participating."

That said, I think his posts this phase have been markedly improved. What's really sticking out for me is the read on MTR, which was both unprompted and a solid read. I also kind of felt like the first few sentences of that post were awkward, and considering he wasn't a main focus, I think it came out naturally and shows more attention on the game than I was giving him credit for. Like if he had just stuck with the Claws and Morrison reads, it would have been whatever, but that MTR read helped make him feel like he cares about the town wincon.

I get the reasoning for you not voting No Lynch, but with a blank slate of votes, I feel like you would at least float the idea of No Lynch. Why didn't you at least mention it as a possibility?

Also, Randolph and Pablo being disingenuous about the circumstances of the Dreyski wagon gives me bad feels. Randolph has been voting me without putting any oomph behind it or actually trying to get people to vote me, while emptily telling people how to play or fear mongering about the game state. Both of them are trying to pin the Dreyski wagon on me when I said I wanted consolidation, not to follow me on to Dreyski. I did in answer to your question in this day phase. Don’t really have anything much else to add about him because he hasn’t said anything. I’m also one of like 6 people that have posted this phase and I have posted more than just in response to you. I’m a night action analyzer. You know that. And with seemingly a bunch of actions hidden at night I have less to analyze.

As for Rip and BN I trust Rip less than BN because Of the way he joined the Drey Lynch. But I think he’d be putting himself out there way too much if he were scum so probably both town is my read.

3pups - I am perhaps wondering if Dreyski had copped him but it was hidden by the focus group. That would explain a lot. Dreyski made a good point that we don’t know what his town game is and there are similarities to the last one.

WhoAmI - Like me he has been ruled out of two scum roles due to the bus drive and the potion action. However after I instigated the Jitters lynch, he was on the other end of the bus drive. A classic scum bus drive move is to bus drive one of their own with town so that town eats the other townie action instead. That potion he got seems mild compared to my “bad medicine” they were trying to give me which could have been either a slow poison/straight out kill. CWE does have a guess that he could be the focus group and if he is then we have to determine if it’s beneficial. Could be scum but I’d have to read back through the write-ups to see how many visible scum roles there have been so far to see who he may be which I’ll do later.

Rip - A bit inactive early on and jumped onto the Dreyski vote without much reason doesn’t look good for him. Now by no means giving him a free town pass at this point but I jumped onto him for similar reasons last game when he voted for me and it blew up in my face and he blew me up. He is right when he says is has come more alive now which happened last game and he was town. The PG/Rip argument could be a great distraction for scum too. I am by no means giving him a free town pass yet though but wary of voting him at this point. Interesting difference of opinion between him and CWE over the focus group but from what I can remember of his play, Rip being wary of neutrals is pretty typical of him.

Loaf - Nothing more to add from what you’ve already said.

Psycho - Yes he is quite hard to read early on as he’s got a great innateness to look out for errors/phrasings in townie posts as scum (which he may have been trying as a way to say this is scummy me overexplaining. However he will typically promote the hell out of town if he can’t find much of a reason to nitpick or there’s info while he works behind the scenes. Slightly concerned he may have lead us down the garden path a bit with the Dreyski lynch but there have also been elements of town Psycho as well asking questions and giving “Psychoanalyses” as I like to call them on specific posters. Very wary but not quite ready to vote him this phase yet. Also, Randolph pushing Psycho is pretty normal for town Randolph as he does this most games when town. I doubt he has info but again Focus Griffin could’ve hidden something.

Pabs - I agree with the inconsistencies you’ve explained there. I would also like to hear more from him too.

kdestiny - He is normally a low key guy. However very much on the radar for the lack of votes in the trains and conveniently staying off the Jitters train though was public about it. Coming in after the Dreyski lynch to say he didn’t feel anything was off about him but also didn’t do anything to stick up for him while he was being lynched. Those wrinkle me a bit however CWE does say there’s a town tell post in there and he doesn’t usually lie about that stuff so will give him the benefit of the doubt for now and look at his posts for this town tell.

Weekends are always tough for me to post much, and this was also a long holiday weekend. I think I mentioned that it was 90% clearance on slippers and bathrobes, so I went all out. In addition, I stumbled across a couple stores that also marked down blankets. I filled my van twice, and my car once. Total 118 blankets, 62 bathrobes, and 143 pairs of slippers, all new in the boxes. Some of this (all of the blankets) will go to the homeless center, most to the women's shelter, and many of the slippers will go to the veteran's center. I could see the argument for them possibly being the focus group but they could also still be three scum as far as I can tell. Destro, Wheaton and Soup Nazi. Going out on a limb with this theory but can’t shake the feeling there could be something sinister and scum targeting the player who has contributed very little in posts also makes me think possible scum-on-scum action.

I have been pondering why I have gotten people suspicious of me. I don't recall that I had this many votes on me in the entire last game. I get that some were wary of me because I played the confused newbie role convincingly last game, and nobody wants to be burned twice. Dreyski suggested this, and I think the fact that I was not on the Jitters train didn't help my case. But there's no way that Dreyski copped me because if he had, he would seen that I am green and would have moved along. As you recall, there seemed to be a multiple roleblock, but only partial actions were successful.

Without much posts, it’s hard to tell plus it seems like he’s going through stuff. Although that was kinda the basis for Jitters, I took an educated guess there considering that he’s been inactive as scum before plus confirmed his role before quite a few others yet didn’t post. I don’t know Loaf’s style well enough to make that judgment yet.

That’s a very iffy looking train on me, with absolutely nothing to back them up other than ‘voting pattern’ not that anyone seems to be willing to actually explain what they actually means, although it sounds good, generally it means bugger all, especially when you take things like time zones into account.

We’ve got some oddly quiet players, especially kdest, some oddly aggressive players pushing but not liking being pushed back, especially BN, we’ve got experienced players making bizarre comments, CWE defending a neutral role that’s hiding information from us and then we have a player that’s actually ‘hidden’ and low playing in our ME.

Yet above all these I’m targeted because of ‘voting patterns’ yeah, right
