Announced, yes. Planned, doesn’t appear so. They’ll change it to Wrestlemania Chamber in due time.

I'd like to see Bobby retain and face Riddle at mania.

I'd think they would have a number 1 contender's chamber for this show, no? Surprised he's defending it over there being a contender's match for his title

Lashley, Lesnar, Rollins, Styles, Riddle, and Theory will be the six in the Chamber.

Lita versus Becky for the championship also on the card.

I did not see Lynch vs. Lita coming and I am not mad about it. The Chamber match has a pretty good line-up and it'll be interesting to see if they go the title vs. title route for Mania.

That would be something but my counter would be with a two-night card, I imagine it gets very shallow in terms of depth if your two big titles are in one match.

Brock Lesnar has never been inside the Chamber. That's just wild to me that he's been back for 10 years and he's just now stepping inside for the first time.

With that said what a match. Austin Theory, yeah he kind of takes away from it and he'll probably get eliminated early.

I'm excited to see Lesnar and Riddle lol. You watch, one of them will get eliminated before the other gets in the match.

I have to somewhat disagree with BG. I get what he's saying....but he's also forgetting that the women have main evented 2 of the last 3 Mania's. I don't see why on night one we can't have a combination of Becky, Ronda, Charlotte and then night two have Roman v. Brock title v. title.

I'm not concerned with the undercard of those nights either if that's the route they go with. All those releases and WWE still has some of the top tier talent on the planet firing on all cylinders.

How would Shane fighting for a title be in anyway believeable?

Might as well bring David Arquette in.

I read a news bit somewhere that said Shane was going to be back on RAW full time as a heel. And yet, RAW was last night and no Shane-O. Also read there was a fair bit of internal heat against Shane in the Rumble so maybe that's changed the course of things...?

He was the main producer of the Rumble match and booked himself strong so that's why he has heat.
    Per Meltzer:
Just to clear up a few things. Shane McMahon was a producer of the men's Royal Rumble. He is not a regular producer for WWE, but Vince gave him the assignment for the match. He helped produce the Royal Rumble in both 2020 and 2021 but was way more hands on and taking control this year than in the prior two years. Both matches were constantly changed. Those on the inside knew who the winners were all along even if there were apparently many in the company told differently, but as far as what would happen in both matches, they were constantly changing. The stories about negativity toward McMahon regarding the men's match are pretty accurate. As noted here, he is booked for both the Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania shows.

First of all, David Arquette can't do a dropkick from one coast of America to the other coast of America (few men can, and everyone knows that).
Shane McMahon has defeated the owner of the company, Vincent Kennedy McMahon, jr...
Plus, Shane is loco. It's simple...

Who asked you to book the McMahons in their own promotion anyhow?

If Lesnar wins at Elimination Chamber he will have beaten all 4 black WWE champions for their title.

I hope he passes out in the Hurt Lock and retires, after eliminating the other four dudes in the chamber, of course.

I love Lesnar and I love Lashley. Either of those two dudes win I'm happy.

Though ultimately wouldn't it be cool to see Riddle win and then face Orton at WrestleMania?

Shane booked himself to look so strong...He had 1 elimination, his long time rival Kevin Owens. He came in at #28, was in for around 5 minutes. I mean, Fake Diesel was in the bottom 4 of a Rumble does that mean he was booked strong?

Because it wasn't a real thing.

Just like Matt Riddle winning the Rumble. What happens is 20 ideas get bounced around in a room and suddenly those are all concrete plans lol. Vince has always been a lunatic about changing results going back to the early 90's with Lex and Bret at WM 10. Supposedly changed the night before or the day of.

Wrestling news reporting is some of the dumbest shit I've ever seen. First they'll state "reportedly" or "rumors say", which is a cop out. If the story is proven false they'll say "Plans must have changed". If there's no truth then don't report it.

Tito Santana told a story that the reason he was turned into El Matador is because WWF were going to make a play in either Mexico or Canada. They wound up going with Canada which is why Bret got the big push--according to Tito.

So that must have been real because I'd believe an actual wrestler over the guy who has a poster of Cyborg v. Carano on his wall still.

And then some folks will purposely report bogus news just to be contrary. Brad Shephard comes to mind.

Why you calling him Fake, bro?

El Matador instead of Bret is some surreal shit to think on.

And here's to Goldberg taking the title off Reigns and dropping it to Riddle at WM, for the sanctity of life.

Goldberg has only one match left on his contract - he won't be taking the belt from Reigns. Given the money involved from the Saudis, I totally get why Vince would use Goldberg there.

Somehow, the more I ponder it, the lines "Vince didn't screw El Matador. El Matador screwed El Matador" doesn't quite have the same flow as it does with Bret.

I'm here for it. It got scrapped before when reigns wasn't the top notch heel he is now. Dynamic will be better. 'Berg vs. Lashley was good and i think Reigns can pull something similar out of ol' Bill.

I'm not negative to it. It's going to be sloppy at times for sure but we know damn well that guy isn't beating Roman. Goldberg v. Lashley was actually better than I thought it was going to be. It's a spectacle match, it's mainly visual. I was never really a Goldberg guy other than in Revenge for the N64 but the guy is massively popular. It's too bad Goldberg wasn't also in the EC that way Riddle could possibly dance with his 2 dream opponents who said on record they would never work with Riddle lol.

Meh. I could do without the match. Goldberg vs Lashley was better than I thought it would be but honestly just have no interest in seeing any more Goldberg matches.

I'd have been happy with Goldberg's 2016/17 run being the last we saw of him. The Lesnar stuff for me was great, don't care about the criticism it got.

That said, Goldberg and Ziggler at SummerSlam a year or 2 later was also gold.

I'm more angry that he keeps getting a title match, losing, and then returns to get another title match.

He nearly kills Taker, and now he gets title matches whenever I guess.

I will say I wasn't high on Roman v. Goldberg almost happening 2 years ago at Mania. Mainly because of how fucking pissed I was that he beat The Fiend. Now...I guess you can somewhat sell it as a match that was going down but you can't really kayfabe why it didn't or Goldberg and WWE will look like assholes.

Roman in the ring asking the crowd to acknowledge him.

Goldberg's music interrupts, Goldberg comes in nose to nose with Roman and says "You're next!"

Roman responds - "Next? You must mean I'm the next person who gets to pin you?"

Personally I'm looking forward to a spot where Theory tries to get a selfie with Lesnar down and Lesnar jumps up, locks him in a submission and smashes his phone.

I really hope this is the last we see of Bill Goldberg. You had your title run, you got a couple massive Saudi Arabia paydays, your son got to see you wrestle; now fuck off, your act doesn’t intimidate anybody anymore.

Kind of funny that the idea behind the body suits is not sexualizing the women when I don't think it's working at all for Rhea or Liv.

I enjoyed the women's chamber match. I'm surprised Alexa didn't win but the story writes itself for Bianca.

I’m a pretty big Bianca Belair fan, but did she really need that win as much as some of those other competitors? I mean, she main evented Mania last year.

Rhea’s career desperately needs a kickstart, Liv Morgan is on the verge of getting Strowmaned, the returning Alexa Bliss would have been a worthy choice…

So the part-timer easily smashes through the top end of your red brand roster and is about to unify the titles, stealing the built up heat that would have permanently solidified someone as a main eventer? Cool, cool, cool, cool.

It's pretty crazy that they've happily smashed every other star to bits to get Lesnar vs. Reigns over as the biggest deal. On a two nighter where you probably need a strong pair of title matches rather than building to the one. I guess Austin must be main eventing the other night, or (rightfully) Becky vs. Bianca. Charlotte vs. Ronda will get shit on if it goes on last on either night.

Yeah, I like watching Lesnar, but I have no clue how today's PPV is supposed to get me to wanna see him vs. Reigns. Reigns has gotta be the most loveable hero at this point. Is he there?

I like Lesnar as face but that was complete shit booking (although the F5 off the pod looked cool).

Lita/Becky and the Women’s Chamber were alright but overall…meh show.

Why couldn’t they have made it more competitive and if they wanted to keep Lashley strong, could’ve had him pass out but not tap out in a Lesnar submission. Or have Reigns screw with Lesnar or something so Lashley retains and you get Lesnar wanting full revenge at Mania as well being screwed again? Also give the other guys a fair shake.

Anything better than what they did there. Just as bad as the Shayna EC shit was.

For me Lita/Becky was the best match with the womens EC being second. I was surprised by how good Lita looked, at the Rumble she looked awkward and confused but she held her own against Becky. I really thought when she hit the moonsault and had the tight pin I thought she was winning.

From their interaction in the EC I’d much rather see Belair vs Ripley but I guess Belair needs to get her revenge from SS.

Whatever was on Brocks nose completely grossed me out. It was nice that they kinda protected Lashley. But im tired of Brock comes in last minute and wins the MITB, comes in last minute and wins the RR and now comes in last and wins the EC.

Protected him in the weakest way possible though. It was complete pussy. These pods have been getting smashed multiple times in EC matches along with the wrestlers and they put him on “concussion protocol.”

Lashley is meant to be a monster.

WWE needs more larger than life superstars. Part of some ng that is consistently putting someone in that spot as they grow through the challenges.

Seems really forced to pigeonhole a Jake Paul return (and match) for Miz and the Mysterios. The odds don’t bode well for Paul to pull out a Bad Bunny-type performance in this Mania match.

They sold me on the Universal Championship match when Reigns said he was going to Goldberg Goldberg. This contract run for Goldberg has been about restoring his image and showing that he could recapture the physical ferocity that made him stand out originally. That’s all well and good but Reigns is booked like a guy that was going to Old Yeller the legend. He did. That was what it needed to be. It was close to overstaying it’s welcome but it was fine.

It was shocking to hear Liv was the most experienced woman in the Chamber match. She had a really scary spot with getting hooked on the turnbuckle before she eventually hit the sunset flip powerbomb on Doudrop. The one-armed press by Bianca is always a crowd pleaser. At first glance, I have no real idea why Alexa was in the match, but she did look pretty decent in the match. I’ve got no qualms with Bianca winning. That’s fit the story that’s played out for months. Rhea got to be the standout in the gauntlet, help correcting her course, and Bianca gets the shine with the Chamber win.

Women’s tag was fine for what it was. Naomi got some shine, so I was pleased to see that. She rides the edge in terms of being adventurous with her flips and kicks, but I think she’s found a sweet spot for those while keeping things fluid.

JFC, Moss was planted on the crown of his head. I mean, Moss just surviving is incredible. Continuing was stupid but he earned stripes in the back because of it. Corbin was Johnny on the spot or it was incredibly fortuitous spot to have Moss get help from Corbin after that. It was a powder but Corbin probably was checking Moss to make sure he was okay. Flowers for Corbin and especially Moss. When Moss gets a better gimmick, his trajectory will go up in a hurry.

Whelmed with the Lita/Becky match. It wasn’t bad but it certainly had some clunkiness to it. I don’t know what I was expecting, considering it’s been ages since Lita actually had a match. She tried some new stuff here and some of it hit and some of it missed. I’m curious to see if we’re getting a run with her or if this was an expensive goodbye.

Firm time crunch got The Usos and Viking Raiders. That’s an interesting payday for that.

So much to digest with the Men’s Chamber. The big thing is that they worked an injury to cover for a shoot injury. Lashley’s shoulder was wrecked at the Rumble (not a surprise, considering he was trying to protect himself on those suplexes at the Rumble). There’s a decent chance he’s out for Mania now. That makes it really puzzling to see how the booking has had to endure since the Rumble. It also doesn’t make sense why you have him in this match in the first place. It sucks for him as he’s been on another level for the last two years. I have to imagine there was a bit of a time crunch here too but even so, Lesnar wrecking everyone went he forcibly entered the match was wild. I was curious to see how Theory would do in this. Considering the circumstances, I’d say this was a memorable run for him.

    Very up and down card.

Was happy that Roman/Goldberg wasn't just them spamming their two big moves half a dozen times and kicking out and the announcers freaking out over it, etc. but it felt like it fell a bit short but maybe that's for the better. So it was fine.

Women's EC was really good. Not alot that really involved the structure itself, though, was expecting a bit more there but the in-ring action was top notch. Glad to see they didn't have to wear the big baggy t-shirts, some folks bodysuits were actually pretty dope outfits (looking at you, Liv). Really happy to see Bianca get the win and get her arc back on track from SummerSlam.

Women's tag match was decent enough. Naomi needs to come out on top of this angle with Sonya and get in the damn title scene post-Mania, she is a goddamn star. Ronda in the judo gear was neat. Sonya's another one where the bodysuit made for some rad gear.

DAMN Madcap landing right on his dome. That's about the only thing that's really going to matter about that match but it was fine. I thought maybe Drew would lose to set up a match with Happy at Mania but nerp.

Becky/Lita was good but not great. Lita was a bit sloppy in spots but props to her for the effort and mixing things up and it has been a damn long time so some slack is deserved. Becky going for a moonsault was a nice surprise.

Tag match getting scrapped was lame. Not even that much of a beatdown to call it off. Other folks have fought on after worse.

Wasn't sure abotu Bobby getting taken out of the Chamber. Thought it might be legit and that it'd be a hell of a scramble to recalibrate and then thought maybe it was a work to get him in the title match at Mania a different route but apparently he was legit hurt going in and will be out for a stretch which sucks 'cuz he rules. Match itself was ok but nothing special. Theory at the end was the highlight and that F5 off the pod was a hell of a bump. I had seen Theory was trending on Twitter earlier in the day but was avoiding reading spoilers so part of me actually thought he might've won so it made the end stretch a bit more of a ride. Really not jazzed for Brock/Roman at all.

Overall, kind of middle of the road but not bad.

happened to catch the elimination chamber match. it sucked. is having brock squash everyone effortlessly still the only thing in their playbook? every time i watch wwe i still manage to be a little surprised just how unappealing it is.

It's insane how they've fucked up the 8 years since the streak ending and essentially doubling down at that point on Lesnar, Rollins and Reigns being the guys and just stubbornly sticking with it to the detriment of everybody else. They've had guys in that period - Styles, Bryan, Wyatt, Strowman, McIntyre, Big E, Kofi, Lashley, Ambrose - who fans have wanted to embrace as top guys, but when push comes to shove they enforce that they're a level below. We're at the Wrestlemania 9 stage now where even if Hogan winning pops the crowd, it's just the wrong thing to do. Stick with Bret. Stick with Big E.

Definitely agree with the sentiments of the last two posts. It's very frustrating how easily Brock just disposes of top dudes and makes them look shit. Rollins, Styles, and Riddle should've been able to put up a fight and hang for a bit. And everyone always takes one F5 and they're done meanwhile, Reigns can take about 6 of them at Mania before he's down which really makes all the other dudes look far inferior.

For me, the main events should be Reigns (c) vs. Big E and Lesnar (c) vs. McIntyre, with 2 title changes. For Reigns vs. Big E, run a divide and conquer with New Day, with E giving up his case to save one of the others from a Bloodline assault. Then Reigns refuses a title shot and he has to win the Rumble to get his shot. For Lesnar vs. McIntyre, Brock then returns (with Heyman, and the briefcase) and cashes in on Lashley at Summerslam. Drew gets built back up and wins the Chamber, playing on that he wants to beat Brock again in front of a crowd. It's not that hard, is it? Then Becky vs. Bianca and Sasha vs. Rhea and you're making 4 top stars at the big show. You can still do Charlotte vs. Rousey in a featured match.

I think a big problem being missed here is production. They had a hard out with three hours and they stupidly only booked 75 minutes of wrestling. How is that okay? This also includes two of the shortest Chamber matches either ever or in recent history. There was no need for Usos/VR and McIntyre/Moss to be on this card. There was no need for the amount of video packages they went with. Add anywhere from 5-7 minutes to the Women’s chamber then 10-12 for the Men’s and that allows plenty of time for servicing your chum that you’re feeling to Lesnar and servicing better utilization for the chamber for the women. That doesn’t fix everything but certainly makes it more digestible.

They did stick with Bret and thank God for the international tours. Big E, some of the lowest rated segments on Raw. I love Big E but I think half of his fans became his biggest critics when he won the title. Going 50/50 with Apollo Crews for 3-4 months you had fans wanting Big E as champion. He wins the title, beats guys like Drew, Lashley, etc. and they're nitpicking every little detail like it's their first day of being a smark.

If Lesnar wasn't so fucking incredible right now I might be negative. If it was the same exact storyline they did years and years ago, sure. Numbers don't lie. You guys want Big E and Drew McIntyre we have to support them. I was just saying last night, Drew is the guy to really benefit from beating Roman, giving him a true L. Roman is just on fire right now and I don't want some Lex Luger moment where Drew wins the belt and drops it a week later ala Hogan/Luger Road Wild 1997.

I know they're building toward Rock v. Roman at next year's Mania. I don't think Roman NEEDS to be champion going into that match but if they don't unify the titles at Mania and Roman defends them both, I could see Drew winning one of them.

I was really hoping for Rhea Ripley v. Becky for Mania. I'm not totally negative to Bianca going to Mania, but I just wanted something a little more fresh.

I hope this happens just to piss you off lol.

You have no idea that he's stolen any heat that would permanently do anything. The funny thing about fans like you is you are so sure that WWE fucks up everything but you're certain had they gone the opposite direction it would've worked based on..............??? Nobody, not even Bret Hart, has ever truly passed the torch. Austin became a bonafide star LOSING to someone. What?

I'm totally fine with the idea of the title unifying(again). There should only be one top title, and it shouldn't be blue or red either. Perfect world, unifying the titles will be WWE's Infinite Crisis and just reboots everything from the ground up. While I still have the same apathetic feeling towards Mania and WWE... I still want to see it get better and be worth a damn.

Really enjoyed the show. Austin Theory was awesome with Lesnar. Right choice having Lesnar go over the way he did. The Saudi audience seemed to enjoy the show from beginning to end and that made it a little more enjoyable.

Sucks about Lashley being legit injured but maybe he's back in the summer to get the title back at Summerslam, unless Reigns ends up with the win at Mania to get both titles. No preference for Lesnar or Reigns, both guys are awesome.

Meh about Belair winning. It could have been anybody else and a better story to be told of it. Too bad Jeff Hardy gone. Would've loved to see a Swanton off the top of the chamber and crowdsurf his way throughout the arena to close the show. Missed opportunity there.

Naw I don't think you had really any options other than Rhea and Bianca. Nobody other than 3pup has liked Nikki ASH. Becky just mopped the floor with Doudrop and Liv. Bianca wasn't exactly a year ago but it was still somewhat fresh despite the 2 of them constantly interacting since Summerslam.

Rhea just seemed the freshest and the one who I think deserved a better run with the title this time around.

You know, if Jeff Hardy wasn't such a weirdo he would've at the least been wrestling Roman instead of Goldberg. Maybe. Remember, it was a Raw chamber match so Jeff wouldn't have been in it anyway.

But he's Jeff Hardy. If he walked through the crowd once he could crowdsurf his way out of there in a foreign country too.

I thought Rhea should've won but think Bianca winning, too, made enough sense not to do something different. She needs a little change of character, that would be welcome. Her in ring work is solid, one of the best on the main roster but strikes me as very bland too.

Belair vs Becky at Mania is what the RAW women's title should be though.

I don't know if it SHOULD be that match. I think an argument for Rhea v. Becky can be made from an originality POV. Both options are fine by me I just wasn't really giving a shit about Becky v. Bianca a 4-5 months back so who knows maybe they'll do something that'll intrigue me.

Sure that is more original but if we are talking about a top feud for Mania, Becky vs Bianca makes the most sense because of their history since Summerslam. Becky never got a true win over Bianca and Bianca never got a fair singles match without a dq or someone else being involved. People always talk about how Mania feud rarely have a long term build anymore. It looks like they are putting in more effort from that stand point this year at least with the first few matches that are announced.

Quality over quantity. You can have a "build" but that doesn't mean it's good. Like I said, I'm not negative to it like oh fuck I'm not ordering Mania! I just thought that due to them constantly interacting since Summerslam and what they gave us being pretty mediocre that maybe we'd get something fresh.

They had 1 singles match since Summerslam tough. It's not like they wrestled 5 times already. And we are assuming Rhea Ripley vs Becky Lynch will have a better build because it's fresh. We don't know it will be quality.

    New doesn't equal better.

Bianca/Becky is the very natural story to tell and Becky needs her comeuppance. What will be interesting is what comes of her after the fact. She basically is going to be in a holding pattern until Hollywood Mania for when she gets a crack at Ronda. Rhea has needed a lot of work because she’s been a mess booking wise since she was called up. The tag team actually helped her a bit and the Gauntlet Match helped put her back on the map. The rest of the year should be a point of emphasis to have her cooked up to be at the top for the other championship at next year’s Mania.
