I saw Deftones two or three times, though not the artist I went to go see. They played at an Ozzfest I went to in early 2000s, then they opened for System of a Down maybe 10 years ago at this point, and lastly a couple of years ago at a festival I was at. I gotta be honest, I like Changes, My Own Summer, and Minerva but apart from those I just don't dig it.

I've also never seen Metallica live, I wanted to go to the tour they did with Megadeth, Slayer, and Anthrax but never went for some reason. Though I suppose I'm not a big Metallica fan. I'd rank them: Slayer, Megadeth, Metallica, Anthrax. I do frequently play Fuel though, I love that song. Also, Death Magnetic is my favorite album of theirs. Though I have gotten into car accidents 3 times while Suicide & Redemption has been playing so I tend to not put that on in the car anymore.

There's something about the Deftones catalog that speaks to me. So many different sounds.

Seeing Metallica was cool. Technically I had seen them I think a year earlier at the state fairgrounds but we just stood about 500ft behind the stage on the other side of the fence listening to their set lol. But when we went 3rd row it was pretty wild. I wish Korn had been there though but the arena (same place Triple H won his first World title about a year or 2 later) was seated so it would've been kind of whack. I was a pretty knowledgeable Metallica fan at that point in my life. They played so many songs, 2 encores. the 2nd encore they just sat in a circle with some smaller amps and played another 4-5 songs.

Thankfully it was before they got too old and soft because they were killin the old shit.

18. How did you discover your favorite artist- I grew up on 80s metal because that's all my older cousins listened to. I was 4 and loved looking at Eric's Iron Maiden cover art he'd draw. He was really good but never did anything with it. Literal hand drawn copies. He could draw anything.
19. Your wedding song- Ed Sheeran something or other. I can never remember the title and I get heat from the wife any time I ask. I vividly remember piling like 7 people into one of my groomsmen cars and blaring Real American on my way to my wedding. Wife said we had a limo. The guys apparently didn't have one which is still a argument to this day because I was late getting to the church. I'm like 15 minutes early for everything except my wedding.

When I was young my parents let my older cousin babysit me when they'd go out. Dude is just a hippy at heart and used to bring over his records to play them on my dad's stereo. He played "Whipping Post" by ABB for me and I couldn't get enough of it.
