Listened to Aaron on the Pat McAfee show.

Aaron Rodgers confirms he is unvaccinated, says he is 'disappointed' by media - CNN

Interesting how CNN omitted the part from the story about why he refused the jab - he has an allergy to an ingredient and couldn't take the vaccines. He's done a lot of research and after consultations with his medical professional he did what was best for his own body.

The one thing about what Rodgers said that made me scratch my head is how he took advice from Joe fucking Rogan. Like what the heck does he know about viruses and epidemiology. Rodgers is also taking that parasite medication. How much research did he do on that?

I’m ok with the majority of what Aaron said….. I think the problem he had here was he just talked too much. Came off as a lecture at times. And even someone like me, who agrees with a lot of what he says about some of the potential issues and “dumb protocols”, was sitting there watching like “OK dude, I get it.”

The Cowboys rolled the helmets out onto the field today...then the Broncos took a shit in them.

Anybody else starting to notice that the Pats have become good?

    Really good?

There we go. Lost the best back in the league and along with him our offensive identity.

So suddenly Simmons is a monster and we get pick sixes and now the Titans are great on defense for some reason now.

    New Power Rankings.

    1. Arizona backups?
    2. Tennessee Titans and their unstoppable defense?
    3. Jets as long as White is starting?

There are no rankings. Only Lugash.

In NFL, any team can lose any time. No one is good. Everybody is mediocre. Parity is king.

So where do we think (want) OBJ to go? Obviously he and Baker had major chemistry issues on the field but do we see him making an impact somewhere else?

I think he'd love to go Vegas. I see him making an impact in KC if he went. No way he goes to Green Bay or Seattle. He'd never fit in or want to be there.

I still see Seattle as the frontrunner, especially if Russ goes to Pete and says “Pick him up”.

Because it is not true. If he actually had an allergy, he would have been given the waiver.

I guess it would depend on team interest. But if you have multiple teams competing it feels like he'd go to an easier situation. Seattle is tied for last in the bastard nfc west.

Then you have KC or Vegas in the easily winnable afc west. Green Bay in the already sewn up NFC North but he'd have to play in buttfuck Wisconsin.

I read New England have sent out feelers but idk how that would work out for either party.

GB and KC are the best fits. Chargers, Saints, Falcons, Seahawks, and Patriots are fits to lesser extents. I'd say he winds up in Green Bay or Seattle, with New England being a dark horse.

So Rodgers and Lazard were fined $14k for breaking COVID protocol. Ceedee Lamb was fined $20k for playing with an untucked jersey. Glad the NFL has their priorities straight.

He said he had an allergy to an ingredient in both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. He could have gotten the J&J one-shot vaccine that did not have that same ingredient, but he didn't want to because at the time, he feared the anecdotal potential side effects / potential sterility. He has discussed this with several doctors and somehow came to the conclusion that this was best for his body.

He asked for a waiver but the league wouldn't budge, and he claimed there were several lengthy discussions about this including the protocol, but the league was not interested in the science.

Saying he takes full responsibility for misleading some people, he's an athlete not an activist, and he's just looking forward to getting back to doing what he does - playing ball.

He was fined less than $15,000, but the Packers were fined $300K.

I hope he does his next post-game press conference by zoom.

I didn't think the Patriots are interested in OBJ because I don't think they have salary cap room.

The fine amounts are collectively bargained.

Fair, but I would argue that an untucked jersey should be less of a fine than breaking COVID protocol.

Agree with that, especially since a $14,500 fine is nothing to Aaron Rodgers - he likely spent more with his lawyers contesting/appealing the protocol.

Then again, considering that CD Lamb's fine was equivalent to half a year's wages for roughly half of the workers in this country, it's clear that these fines are not tied to anything that makes sense to regular people.

At least, the fines all go to the NFL foundation, which provides assistance to former players.

Its also the 5th time he has been fined for it this year so the fine keeps going up.

That Taunting penalty from Monday was absolute horseshit, that official needs to be disciplined; the rule must be revised this off-season.

The owner of the Giants really pushed for the taunting shit to be enforced this year. As long as it's something the owners are interested in pushing I don't know if it goes away.

Gotta make sure some of these "players" aren't getting too "uppity."

On the Bill Simmons podcast, they had a throwaway idea that would actually solve most of the problems.

The NFL should set up a spot in each game where players are allowed to celebrate. Have some company sponsor it; throw it on TikTok or Instagram. NFL owners don't give a shit what the players do as long as they can make some cash on it. The players would be fine not taunting (most times) if they got to show off their 'brands' legally.

All I know is I miss the Deion Sanders led, 11 man, choreographed, end zone dances. That shit was epic.

I want celebrations. I want taunting. I want players screaming "IN YOUR FACE" right into another man's face. I then want to watch that shit on replay from differing angles and in slow-mo.

I get it, but then the league really needs to refine the rule and/or review the tape this off-season.

There’s taunting and there’s big/fast/physical dudes showing some emotion after making a highly reactionary play. Monday was definitely the latter, the dude was signed off the street this past week and added to the active roster just before the game, making probably the biggest play of his pro career.

The law is on the books, but the officials are doing a pretty shitty job of interpreting it. Let them play, man…

    Cam returns to Carolina.

Odell appears on his way to LA with the Rams (so says Schefter).

The Rams getting OBJ just after getting Von Miller for a coupla mid round draft picks. This is what the term "all-in for this year" must mean.

Yeah they see and they believe that this can be the year.

Idk though. Stafford is still like 7 and 90 against winning teams and seems to crumble in big moments. But I love the attitude of just going for it. Love it when they push all the chips to the center of the table and other gambling metaphors.

Considering the rules with COVID and no vaccines, what are the chances an opposing fan with COVID attempts to purposely infect Rodgers or Lamar or any other anti-vaxx players in the playoff? It would basically guarantee that your team would win if you could get Lamar or Rodgers or Wentz to miss a playoff game.

It must say something about me that it was an early thought when I heard Rodgers was unvaccinated. I was imagining George Wendt and Chris Farley coming up with a plan to help 'Da Bears'.

I continue to be shocked by the absolutely atrocious QB play by so many teams. These are allegedly the best QBs in the world, making millions of dollars to put up JV box scores? Fucking embarrassing…

Those highly notable and totally proven NFL QBs got game reps today:

    -Colt McCoy, Arizona
    -Trevor Siemian, New Orleans
    -Case Keenum, Cleveland
    -Mike White, NY Jets
    -Joe Flacco, NY Jets
    -Mason Rudolph, Pittsburgh
    -Taylor Heinicke, Washington

I haven’t even gotten to the “Underachieving Youngsters” category, nor the “Over-The-Hill Starters”.

But yeah, please pretend that Colin Kaepernick isn’t being blackballed…

How many years has it been since Kaepernick has played? Because at this point, I think that is a very weak argument. A few years ago, fine, I’ll agree he could’ve potentially be productive.

Not anymore though. At some point, enough time has gone by where him not being signed currently doesn’t matter anymore.

Also, literally everyone you just mentioned there are backup QBs. Even Flacco, who by the way won a SB.

He absolutely does NOT. He did once but hasn't in a long time. People making that argument aren't paying attention to what he's said and done and how he has treated his "nfl workouts." He is beyond, or at least purposefully outside, the NFL now.

Maybe not a first ballot guy, but no doubt a Hall of Famer.

Has his boxing match happened yet?

I think he’s a borderline first ballot guy. 3rd all time in rushing.

Pats are on an impressive run, but they clearly still have their flaws.

Staying unbeaten on the road is tough.

The Pats defense is looking great, and they dominated last night vs a bad team. On this 5 game winning streak they're on, they're winning by an average margin of 25 points per game. Impressive. But it's been an easy slate other than the road win at LAC. The Pats are definitely good, but the pendulum has probably swung a little too far with people praising them. Mac Jones had that bad interception last night, and the offense in general moved the ball well but then often sputtered and failed to put up points. Big room for improvement there and you can't do that vs good teams. But it was a short week and Mac will hopefully learn from his mistakes. They got the win and got out of ATL without any injuries, and now have a week and a half to prep for the Titans. If they beat the Titans (which I think they will), they will have truly arrived on the scene in the AFC as a conference contender.

Matt Judon is a DPOY contender with 10.5 sacks so far. I don't think he'll win it but if he keeps balling out for another 6 games, he'll be right there.

I can't wait for Pats/Titans. I think the team that can get to 24 will win.

The Pats have a rough row to hoe for the next 4 games or so. I think they have the Bills in there twice and that's going to settle the division. Bill showing his stuff right now. He has that defense playing above its pay grade.

Would love to say the Titans didn't show up today. But honestly what I saw was more like a team trying it's best and just performing really poorly.

Chiefs/Cowboys was a sucky game. What a letdown.

So the Lions given a 15 yard penalty for insulting Jadeveon Clowney's mother. Seriously.

Has that ever been a thing or does it fall under the new taunting stuff?

It has been said that the AFC is wide open, and boy is it ever. I saw something that said the Patriots (currently 3 seed) could move up to the 1 seed this weekend if they win and things break right, or they could move down to the 11 seed if they lose and things break wrong. Fun stuff.

Also, feed me the Titans and Mike Vrabel. It's time to get some modest revenge for them knocking the Pats out of the playoffs and ending the Brady era. @Rancid_Planet seems like AJ Brown is okay since he returned to the game after leaving due to injury. Not that I root for injury but I wouldn't mind if they give him a week off to heal up!

Yeah initial X rays show no damage to the ribs.

I mean I never expected the one seed for the Titans. Not after Henry went down. At this point we basically can't miss the playoffs so it's all just a waiting game to see if we can get Derrick back before the playoffs start. Otherwise we ain't going anywhere in the post season.

I love what's going on with the Pats right now. This is how they won before Brady became BRADY. Eat the clock, don't turn the ball over, outstanding defense.

Idk what is going on with the Bills but whatever the Chiefs were dealing with seems to have transferred to Buffallo.

He did, but Steve may also be splitting the duty with Jerod Mayo. It's unclear and possibly a shared responsibility as the Patriots remain without an official defensive coordinator. I heard someone somewhere say that Bill took back the play-calling after the disastrous defensive performance against the Cowboys this year, but I don't know where they got that from. Who knows.

Mayo is rumored to be a head coaching candidate again this offseason.

Very curious to see how badly the Bucs smoke the Giants tonight. Brady seems to be (and should be) pissed.

Heading into this game, Brady has become the odds on MVP favorite. Mainly due to the falling back of his competitors. I would love to see him light it up tonight and blaze on towards a 4th MVP.

Gronk is back so that helps. The Bucs definitely seem poised for a get-right game here.

Probably for the best. Other than a few moves like Mooney and Mont... they haven't set the world on fire. Mack is turning out to not be worth the price they paid either, I do think they should start thinking about an overhaul on defense and build around Smith, Johnson, and Nichols.

I don't mind fans chanting "Fire Nagy" during the games he's coaching, but I think the reports of fans chanting it at his kid's high school games are way out of line.

My guess for the eventual winners.

    MVP - Brady
    OPOY - Taylor
    DPOY - Garrett
    OROY - Jones
    DROY - Parsons
    Comeback - Prescott
    Coach - Kingsbury

Karma is a bitch. Aaron Rodgers' toe injury is a side effect of him getting COVID

Negative, at least at the 3 Rams game I’ve been to.LA loves their Rams. Went to the Chargers/Pats game and it seemed like the no stadium was a 50/50 spilt, also had a friend say same thing for the Chargers/Vikes game.

Nothing drives me more insane then watching the Lions lose and seeing friends and family continue to support them.

They have been incompetently run by the Ford family for 60 years and continuing to support them will only further the suffering and incompetence.

Watching the Lions during the holidays is like getting kicked in the nuts by your grandma. Why continue to put yourself through it? I watched the Mystery Science Theater 3000 turkey Marathon instead.

Watching the Lions during the holidays is like getting kicked in the nuts by your grandma. Why continue to put yourself through it? I watched the Mystery Science Theater 3000 turkey Marathon instead.
I found the original cable access episodes on YouTube. Amazing.

Correct. The pats are now a ravens loss away from being the #1 seed. not that it means much to be #1 with 5 games left. Wide open AFC.

Hey it was actually a fun game for a while. Honestly surprised at that. But the Pats are back to being the old Pats. The ones we haven't actually seen in years. And you ain't beating these guys turning the ball over and not getting anything open down field.

I've never understood why it was fine for St Louis to steal the Rams from LA back in 1995 with a new stadium but it is horrible when LA steals them back with a new stadium. Kroenke is a piece of shit but it is not like St. Louis didn't have blood on their hands. I was at the last Rams game before they left.

LA did not steal the Rams back with a new stadium. The Dome needed work but there was a deal on the table for a new stadium. Kroenke just wanted out of St. Louis and the owners allowed him and didn't follow their own guidelines. Stadium issues were a scapegoat he was using to get out of the lease at the Dome. NFL knew good chance St. Louis would win the lawsuit and didn't want their owner's financials out there. Hence the settlement.

Now going back to when the Rams moved to St. Louis, the owners actually rejected the move before the previous owner threatened a lawsuit and then most of them flipped. In that case their guidelines rejected the move. So yeah you could argue that St. Louis had blood on their hands as well. She played dirty to move the team as well. In a different way. At least the owners and NFL were following their guidelines.

We did lose the Cardinals during the 80's and not sure if guidelines were followed or not. Also passed over for an expansion team when Carolina and Jacksonville came into the league. So yeah St. Louis just keeps getting screwed honestly when it comes to the NFL. I am pretty bitter over the fact that the owners just went with kroenke without following guidelines. At the end of the day most of the owners suck. Follow guidelines and reject a move and bend over when lawsuit is threatened. Don't follow guidelines and move a team and decide to fight lawsuit and then realized they were going to lose and settled so their financials were not out there. So yeah pretty much why I am done with the NFL. Waiting on the XFL and watching my college ball in the mean time.

Personally hate it when teams move in any sport. Yeah sometimes it is for the best but not always.

I feel your pain about losing a pro sports team, Michael Heisley and David Stern totally did Vancouver dirty with the Grizzlies.

That Stern put the organization behind the eightball from day one is a totally different rant, but I digress…

They could have at least changed the name. Grizzlies are such an iconic Great North thing. They should now be the Memphis...BBQ sandwiches? No wait the Memphis intolerant racists!

Hit two parlays this weekend on DraftKings. Turned $20 into $114 so I cashed out. My wife said "keep going!" but I always quit when I'm ahead.
