Second episode was definite step up from the first. Felt less like a retread through a past flick with a few roles switched up and more like a newer/fresher story. Nice to enjoy one of Chadwick's final performances and have to admit I got choked at the closing dedication to him.
I'm not super high on this style of animation but I love Marvel so I'll take whatever. The "what if" comics were some of my favorites as a young kid.
I agree, this one was cool. Very intriguing and I wanted to see Black Panther in space so here we are. I haven't really paid much attention to what any of the episodes are about so I'm curious what they've come up with for us.
I think I'm not as into this show because the eps are only half an hour and stand-alone so it's harder to get invested and everything moves along so briskly you don't really get to sit with the ideas long enough. This week's episode specifically:
Killing off the Avengers before they're the Avengers and the repercussions of that feels like it should be a big damn deal and something you should really be like, "Oh shit, now what?" and have some impact. And the mystery of who was killing them could have been drawn out and have some red herrings and get you really thinking. But instead of all that, it was like, bam, bam, bam, they're dead, oh here's the guy that did it, they beat him but also Loki took over but we only see that for about three seconds, and we're done, good night, everyone. This felt like it could have been an epic two-parter or at least drawn out to an hour long episode.
