Did anyone bother watching What If? Season 2?

Just finished Echo last night. Excellent stuff. Short but very solid. Kingpin and Maya are both awesome well-acted characters and i look forward to seeing more of them. Highly recommend

I haven't finished Season 2 yet but so far so good. I was a huge fan of these comics too.

Almost done with Echo. I'm a big fan.

I just finished Echo. I liked it before the supernatural stuff came in. I am sure it has to do with her comic book origin, but I liked it better as a more grounded story. I enjoyed What IF more even if it felt like they rushed the ending.

i personally have fallen off of the MCU so hard that I havent even gotten through Loki Szn 2 and I'm not sure I ever will. Hiddleston is great but i dont really care if they get the temporal aura extractor to the temporal loom in time to stop the time slipping etc etc. there was a time when i cared about this jibberish because it was part of something bigger that i was invested in that was very good entertainment.

anyway i'm not trying to hate on it, i'm only saying it because i was a hardcore MCU stan previously. wake me up when fantastic four drops

Never been a fan of the Fantastic Four but I do feel like their inclusion as well as the X-Men and the return of the Daredevil "universe" I guess you could call it is the shot in the arm we need. I said this before, they removed a lot of the iconic characters over the last few years and it didn't help. You're throwing all these B, C, D-level characters in the mix hoping for the best which is why they scaled back so much.

Definitely starting to agree with the whole "fatigue" argument but I think we'll look back in a couple years and see it all made sense. I can't front, there were times I was getting kind of sick of comic book movies and they were making money too. I didn't really get into Iron Man 2-3, Thor Dark World, Dr. Strange plus the stuff DC was doing at the time was mediocre. I think there are fans who see that a movie made a shit ton of money so it must be good.

i dont care about F4, but I know it's supposed to be a big new tentpole type story so in that sense I'm looking forward to it. i've always thought invisible girl and stretchy man have kinda dumb powers but I know it's a revered comic book team. I like Matt Shakman who's directing it.

but I think it would benefit from a universal reboot. in the sense that, whatever intergalactic trials and tribulations the F4 get into, i feel the stakes are lowered when there are approximately 75 super heroes on earth already, and a trillion other super heroes in other multiverses. in a world where they go up into space and get super powers and they are the FIRST people on earth to have super powers, i'm more interested. in the world where they join a community of hundreds of existing super heroes, i'm less interested.

This is basically why DC did those Infinite Wars books. They wanted to centralize all the stories because it was starting to get confusing and Marvel was also starting to gain the upperhand. I'm hearing rumblings that the Secret Wars movie and possibly Deadpool 3 will start the cleansing so to speak.

Plus, you have to bring back the iconic characters imo.

Never saw the appeal in FF but they're OGs of Marvel they need to be in the mix with the current stuff. People don't even realize how much had to be changed without X-Men and FF being in the MCU.

Is anyone else super damn hyped for X-Men '97? I legit squealed watching the teaser. That shit was my religion as a kid. Looks like it could be pretty great. Also, cracks me up the right-wing dweebs already complaining it's "woke" as if the X-Men haven't been woke as fuck since their creation.

X-Men 97 I'm cautious about, the voice acting ain't great (except for Scott) and the animation looks limited.

First two eps of X-Men '97 dropped. Loving it so far. The animation is a little iffy/clunky but they did a great job introducing characters, getting new viewers up to speed, and diving right into some interesting personal relationship angles and drama and whatnot. Can't wait for more.

3rd ep. of X-Men '97 keeps the quality coming. Was surprised they plowed through that whole Goblin Queen story so fast, though, figured that it was going to last at least a couple more before things were resolved. Some great dark/disturbing visuals and a few surprisingly adult quips in there, too. No one else watching?

X-Men 97 is great so far. I really liked how they’ve portrayed Cyclops in action. The way he used his beam to bring himself safely to the ground in the first episode was badass. Puts the live action depictions of the character to shame.

I'm loving this show. I shouldn't be shocked as the original run was my favorite cartoon of all time.

I have marked for everything in episode 3, because its the first X-Men storyline I remember reading and getting the entire run of that story. This is absolutely fantastic. Magneto is again my favorite Marvel character next to Cap, Spidey and Logan.

Yeah, I had reservations, but so far X-Men 97 is doing a terrific job, it's growing up alongside it's original audience.

Hope we get more of Scott in action. Also hope he and the real Jean aren't going to split.

Episode 4 was fun in one half and heavy in the other. Lifedeath probably would have benefitted from just being one extended episode. I wanted more arcade game action in the Jubilee one.

Ep. 4 was cool. The video game bit was a fun nostalgia trip and did some cool animation stuff. Big fan of Mojo so was happy to see him appear though it was really odd/pointless they made him skinny just to make him fat again 10 seconds later. The Storm/Forge half was a nice contrast and pretty moving stuff. Did they have history from the old series? 'Cuz man seemed to say "I love you" really goddamn quick unless I missed some passage of time/previous relationship but I thought they just met last episode?

Can Season 2 of X-Men '97 just start next week, please? Goddamn, this show. High stakes, intense stuff, I'm saying "holy shit" out loud at least once or twice an episode, gotten teary eyed a few times, as well. It's cool as someone who is casually familiar with the source material to have ideas of what might be and then seeing if I'm correct and/or if they're spinning things different. Was a little disappointed there wasn't more Morph but I suspect/hope we'll see more of them and their relationship with Wolverine explored next season. But yeah, heard it got renewed for a third season, too, so hopefully it's not long between.

X-Men 97 was class. It had the nostalgia of the original wrapped up in more mature writing and characterisation, cool action, and genuine stakes. Loved that they resolved the ending of the 90s Spider-Man cartoon with that shot of Peter and MJ in the final episode.

So far so good on Agatha.

I watched season 1 of Hit Monkey but it took me about a year lol It just felt a little too obscure for my taste.

So far it's been pretty good. My daughter and I watch it every week. This last episode was cool. I'm not really sure what the endgame is for this series and if we're going to get a season 2. Off the top of my head I can't think of any of the Disney+ shows getting a 2nd season other than Loki unless I'm just drawing a complete blank this Friday morning.

Loki was the only one so far. Been talks about season 2 for others but I don't think anything solid yet. They have kind ramped down the tv shows it seems. I am going to try to just keep up at this point for the last few now I that I am caught up.

What If? also had a second season.

Newest episode of Agatha was really good. Also really curious where things are going because it's already taken a turn I wasn't expecting.

This week's Agatha was probably the best one yet. First couple eps were a bit samey and we were worried they'd all just be "they go to a house and do a challenge that's tied to one of them" but things turned a corner the past couple and they've been pretty great. Also can't believe this is episode 7, I could've sworn it was only episode 4, I guess some have been forgettable or blurred together. Time skip stuff and emotional stuff was well done. Pattl LuPone has been a standout (highly recommend you watch her with Aubrey Plaza on Hot Ones).

2 part finale of Agatha was a bit of a mixed bag. Preferred the first half. Liked some of the revelations in the second half but my god, they overused the damn song. Was getting pretty annoyed when it felt like they'd been singing it for 10 minutes straight. Agatha flip-flopping between being mean/nice and her and the teen being friends/enemies seemingly switching every other line of dialogue was a bit much. All in all, though, I think this was one of the better Marvel TV shows. Also, very happy with how outright queer it was, that seemed like some groundbreaking stuff for a Disney/Marvel thing.

Anyone else see the teaser trailer for all the upcoming shows this/next year? Some really good looking stuff in there. Daredevil Reborn looks dope.

I really enjoyed the finale. I think a lot of people think episode 7 was the best of the series and I think I agree but I really did enjoy the last two episodes and the series was overall one of the best ones they have do so far.

I have a friend of mine who constantly tags me in youtube videos and other posts about how this show is going to bomb and this movie is going to suck. He did it a few times with this show and then got super quiet as the ratings went up and the reviews remained positive. I believe I read the only show with better reviews was Loki which says a lot considering Loki has been a staple of the MCU and Agatha is a side character to a side character.

I didn't watch Agatha at all but I'm excited for Daredevil in March.

The new Spider-Man cartoon is off to a very good start. Love the art style. Fun stuff.

Sure thing dude nothing to do with the voice actor for spiderman saying in a interview he was worried it was going to be 'too woke' and him getting a lot of flak online for it yesterday.

You need to stop inheriting victim mentality. It's why I hate listening to you in the US Politics thread. Stay in your lane.

Spider-Man show ended well. Set up some good stuff for next season. Heard it's been renewed for a 2nd and 3rd season.

    Heard X-Men '97's 2nd season won't be out until 2026.

Daredevil Born Again has started off strong. We didn't watch the 3rd season of the Netflix show so hopefully that doesn't leave us too out of the loop but so far, it didn't seem like it mattered that much.

Daredevil continues to be one of the best things Marvel has done. Just so great.

That's the nice thing about the new season of Daredevil. If you missed anything, they don't really require you to catch up they just start off with a pretty self-explanatory continuation which is nice.

I really feel like the Netflix shows were incredible sans the first season of Iron Fist. I'm hoping we get to see some of the characters like Cage, Jessica, and even that dork who played Danny Rand.

I've read rumors that Jessica might be back in for Season 2.

When are we able to discuss Daredevil spoilers? Is it a week/2 week grace period?

If we don't get Spiderman at the end of the season, I am going to be pissed.

Daredevil continues to impress. Slow burning but great intensity and tension, etc.. Really enjoyed the confrontation between Matt and Frank. Am not familiar with the new villain so eager to see what they're about.
