Saturday Night Slammasters and Final Fight were both cool, though they didn’t make my list.

Aladdin was a good one. I bought the Aladdin/Lion King combo for Switch on sale at Wal-Mart a bit ago.

Aladdin is another one where I always preferred the Genesis version, though in this case it's actually a considerably different game. I wasn't as in to the SNES MMPR fighting game, but the original MMPR almost made my list.

I played through Aladdin on there, but I believe it’s the Genesis version.

Nobody else has nostalgia for Illusion of Gaia, I see.

WM: Arcade Game was a hard cut. Plenty of hours into that one.

I was surprised there wasn't more votes for TMNT: Tournament Fighters. That game is fucking awesome.

Tournament Fighters was a dope game. I wasn't quite high enough on it to put it on my list, but it's definitely a deserving mention.

I'm actually pretty shocked The Lion King scored so low. I thought it would either make the bottom of the list or just outside of it.

I played Illusion of Gaia well after it's release, and I was playing on a DS emulator that fucked up after a few hours into it. Shame, because I had a blast with what I played, but I hadn't played nearly enough to properly rank it against my favorites.

Actraiser is one brought to my attention more recently, and I just haven't had the time to get around to it. But the premise has me hyped to give it a shot some time soon

Morrison really needed Vice to help prop up PLOK.

Another game that I never got the chance to play, and didn't even know it existed until we did the list last time. But I've heard of it's legend from those who grew up with it.

TMNT: Tournament Fighters was one of my favorite games as a kid, but i owned the Mega Drive version. I've heard several people and multiple sources stating the SNES version was vastly superior though.

Never heard of it but am intrigued by the Tradewest logo. Looks like a zany game just from the cover.

turtles tournament fighters is without a doubt my most played fighting game of all time. im not a huge fan of fighters, but played a bunch of em as a kid since they were so prevalent and a go-to when hanging out with friends. all the turtle games on the NES were big with us, and turtles in time an absolute classic, so we gravitated towards tournament fighters way more than other fighters.

pour a lil out for my PLOK homie vice. we used to gush about that game on AIM at like 3am back in the day.

it's such a rando ass game. mascot side scrollers were everywhere during that and the previous generation, but so few of them were as unique and creative as PLOK managed to be. only reason i ever even played it was because it was a loose cartridge sale item at toys r us and one of my parents decided to buy it for us on a whim.

It was almost a must for anything Battletoads related to be difficult as fuck. Still....the look, the music, it was hard to turn down playing it.

that level is so fucking loooooonnnngggg. i dont think i ever remember making it to the spaceship schmup level as a kid, or if i did, the number of times could be count on one hand. definitely never made it past that level. but those first three levels, especially playing co-op, sustained us for years. each level has different, unique enemies or gameplay that keep the game from ever getting boring. hanging off the sides of ledges, grabbing flying robots and smashing them, grabbing sticks of TNT and throwing it back at a dude in a room before it blows up, the speeder bikes, the descending rope sections; just so much variety. throw on top of that a really fun art style and amazing music. so, so good.

Only saw Tournament Fighters being played on that old Sky One show Games World. That show seemed like the greatest thing ever as a kid but looking back on clips now that we're older you can see how dated that show is.

The "Videators" were entertaining but the show still paled in comparison to Gamesmaster, especially the Dave Perry "screwjob":

    Still hilarious to this day!

Haha true. I agree man, as much as i sucked and how ridiculously hard the game was, i kept playing. Music, art and gameplay were fantastic. It was a true trial and error game

I didn't really appreciate how good these games looked until 5-6 years ago when I started getting back into play the classics on a consistent basis. You hear the music, the artwork, and you're like "this was 1993?" Good shit.

Nash going for the OG Street Fighter 2. Interesting call.

Umm Video and Arcade Top 10 thank you very much

Although the audio is predominately coming through one speaker. This was the jam. This episode actually has Donkey Kong Country 3.

Not familiar with that but will definitely research.

Gamesmaster was legendary though apart from that shite period where that Dexter bloke took over as host.

Yep, I knew FFV wasn't making this list. It's probably my favorite entry next to FFVII, though. Such a fantastic game, and highly underrated. The job system is incredible, the music is outstanding, and the story is more moving than people tend to give it credit for.

It's a shame DKC3 didn't make the list. My favorite of the three. I had it and the original on my list in lieu of 2 just because I have so much nostalgia attached to those ones.

Also, there's the MMPR game I almost voted for! But it would have been low, so it wouldn't have made a difference. Great game, though.

Only got round to playing the FFV version on the Playstation.

Highlight was Gilgamesh but more so for his fucking epic boss music than his credibility as a boss. Ex Death’s not bad either.

    Good game though.

Seiken Densetsu 3 I get, bu I'm actually shocked Secret of Mana didn't make the list. Especially with that many votes.

Had a feeling SOM wouldn’t make the final 20 but kinda hoped it would but still won’t complain about the overall placing.

Wonderful game and a moving story. Fairly easy looking back difficulty wise and the PS4 remake copied the exact gameplay and was hoping for something more different but did get extra talking scenes at inns.

Spikey Tiger early on before you got magic was a bloody bitch though!

Mana slipped by me. I bought it on Wii Virtual Console but never got very far. Same thing happened when I got my SNES Mini.

You got to play it on your Mini.

Tomato plants in the ruins. Just a small taste in store for frustration besides Spikey Tiger.

The Ruins music is creepy yet fits well too.

I thought NBA Jam TE would have made it higher on this list. I suppose the majority have fond memories playing the original.

I didn’t play the original so ‘twas TE for me.

Haha, "boomshakalaka!" It was undoubtedly the better version. I never played the SNES version though, had it for the Megadrive.

Hopefully there's a top 20 Megadrive list in the future. Seems there's quite a few Sega boys in this forum. I'm one of them

We were a SNES family so played Mega System and Mega Drives at friend’s houses.

No great rivalry over which was the better console though. Shared the love.

SoM only made my list after Jarrod told me I forgot to put a #19 lol. I only played it last year on Switch. (Legend of Mana was my first game in that series.) Solid RPG, but just don’t have the nostalgia for it, I guess.

That Trials of Mana remake this year was awesome. Definitely recommend that to those who haven’t played it.

It was the only one I ever owned for Super NES and I think I sparingly rented the ones that followed where you could play as Cami, Hawk, etc. Now if we're talking the arcade, I bet I spent almost a grand on various Street Fighter games lol.

Plus with the OG, I remember as a kid getting this game and it was a huge deal in our household to be able to get a game because it was hard enough to get the system. So we rented games all the time and this was one of the first games my mom bought for me. Not to mention just listening to the BGM tracks in the options, Capcom rules the music aspect of video games in my head.

Pilotwings is that the game where you have to fly through the rings and land on the target then you get scored for accuracy and so on? Never played it but saw it on Gamesworld back in the day if that’s the game. If not then ignore me.

Royal Rumble was awesome. Before I had my SNES I'd play my aunts when I was at her house, which was after school M-F. I'd drive her nuts going to the store with her begging her to rent that game instead of whatever she was wanting to play. I definitely got a couple pity rentals from her.

First game I really got to be my man Bret Hart. Putting Sharpshooters on the entire roster was so so satisfying. Plus, the Rumble!!! I loved tossing people and seeing my results at the end. I love that game.

I wanted to put one of those Top Gear games on my list. I used to play one of them a lot. Problem is I can’t remember which one it was lol. But I keep thinking it was 2.

Six people had Sim City on their list...never played that one. Haven’t really played Pilotwings much either. And I agree that Royal Rumble was awesome. That was one of the games we got originally with the SNES, along with Super Mario World and Link to the Past.

Happy to see so much love for super bomberman. I never see anyone appreciate how awesome the bomb guy is.

I love Zombies, so many hours of just screaming at my sister because she's going the wrong way and just won't listen to directions. So many neighbors lost to her lack of direction.

Rumble got to me first but Raw was just a good a game if not better for still having the Rumble and adding Survivor Series matches plus the updated roster. I was torn between the two but opted for Rumble but seems Raw took it's rightful place as the better of the two here.

Killer Instinct was iconic, I didn't love love playing it, but enough to just make my list.

I did wonder how high you were going to rank it.

Killer Instinct was a good game hampered by the reliance on combos which I could never pull off

Definitely had to be Top 5. I still love playing that game except now my frustration needs to be bottled because I play with my wife and can't go full save the neighbors mode.

I only played Killer Instinct a few times at my cousins’ house. I remember one of them getting mad because I kept winning and he didn’t think I had any idea what I was doing lol. (I was good at other fighting games so maybe that helped.)

I hear about Zombies Ate My Neighbors a lot, but have never played that one. And Raw was good. I just didn’t remember it as well as Rumble for whatever reason.

If you like being frustrated but then sitting in the glow of a hard earned game accomplishment then play Zombies. It's so great.

MK3 was an amazing and underrated game. Also happened to be the MK that I was insanely good at and would demolish people on at the arcade.
