Could be worse. One of my friends admitted he’s never seen Jurassic Park.

I don’t know how well Top Gun would go down now watching it for the first time, Predator has perhaps aged better. That’s a great double bill for a lockdown afternoon though.

Not having seen Jurassic park is just a shame for them. What a thing to have missed out on.

Never seen it. Predator and Die Hard are classics though. I would probably have Die Hard in my top 3...presume Aliens is going to be in this countdown now.

The Princess Bride is just one of those perfect movies. If it's on TV I'll watch it. I went to see it in the theaters 3 years ago or so, it's just magnificent.

Also saw Aliens in the theaters 4 years ago in a double billing with Killer Klowns From Outer Space (Sad to not see that on this list, tbh), it was amazing as always.

For some reason, this is the only Indiana Jones film I haven't seen. No reason to not have seen it. Not sure why I haven't. Temple of Doom has always been my favorite.

I think the best part of this Top 100 is the absolute certainty of your opinions. Ewoks do rule.

Carbon freezing is cooler than Ewoks though, in my opinion.

The top 10 was going good but I'm not a fan of #3 and #5 being above their predecessors. Empire is far superior to Jedi and Temple of Doom was scientifically proven to be the best Indiana Jones movie. Ask my mom.

So many people think Empire is better, but as a kid seeing them both together I always much preferred Jedi as it had the ending and none of the good guys were frozen in carbonite. And it had Ewoks. As an adult I can see why people might prefer Empire but I never will and I’m more than happy with that.
The Indiana Jones ones are all just subjective, but Last Crusade will always have the bonus of not having Willie fucking screaming every 5 seconds.

Think I've only seen this in bits and pieces. I know I've seen Part 2 in full, but not 3.

Looooooooove the Karate Kid. Cheesy as fuck, but awesome. Similar to the Goonies in that respect.

I enjoyed Back to the Future. Can't say I would have it in my top 10 80s, but can see why others do.

Jedi is great but I loved Empire because it was the first movie I ever saw where the good guys didn't end the movie triumphant. I was expecting Han to get away, I was expecting Luke to save Han, I was not expecting the Vader father reveal or Vader cutting off Luke's hand. I remember we rented movies once a week and it was a dam long wait to rent Jedi the next week.

Everything Morrison said was true though. I put Jedi right up there with Empire.

I am almost positive Jedi was the first Star Wars movie I ever saw but the more I watched the original trilogy the more I was drawn to Empire. I was never high on the Ewoks stuff. I even had a stuff animal where I think the eyes lit up, they looked scary as fuck! I was never really into the muppets and shit like that, and it was all over the place at this time. Muppet overload lol.

I always preferred Jedi over Empire. I never got the Ewok hate, they were fine, not great, but not horrible either. If I have a nitpick with Jedi, I always thought, even as a kid, a 2nd Death Star was kinda dumb and lazy.

Even though I disagree with you on several of the rankings, overall you still put together a decent list. There were a lot of very good movies in this decade. When you think of it along this lines of were there really 10 good films a year, at first I wasn't sure there were that many.

So again, nice job, and thanks.

PS. - Scarface and Glory are still better than 80% of the films you have listed.
