Welcome to the 2020 edition of Survivor, Survivor: The Revenge Below you will find some rules as well as the current tribes (pending sign-up completion). I will do my best to update the rules for each specific challenge onto the first page as well as the current tribes as the game progresses.


I have final say on all disputes. I will make mistakes as we go, we just have to deal with it.

The rules are fairly simple. Compete in your tribes, try to win challenges because if you lose your tribe will be voting someone out. Failing to vote for someone when your tribe is voting is grounds for dismissal. I will address this on an individual basis but please, you signed up to play so play.

The rules of each challenge will be announced before the start. If you think you have found a loophole ask, The purpose of the game is to Outsmart each other, not the host.

Each team will have an email account created for them. Your email address and the password will be emailed to all players. This is your form of tree mail. THE PASSWORD MAY NOT BE CHANGED! This will serve as your log in to other games if needed as well. If ever there is a shuffling of tribes I will change the password for the groups and give the new one to all parties involved. Your team email account will be used to share some google docs with me as the game goes on. It will also be where your tribe may receive a clue for the hidden immunity idol. Should you receive a clue in your email its up to you whether you read the clue, delete the email, tell others etc. This is akin to finding the little rolled up clue after a reward.

There will be hidden immunity idol(s) details on those later.

Survivor has always been a game of networking and bold moves. That will be the case again this year in Survivor: The Revenge

Since we play so much mafia I feel like this is worth saying: in Survivor, you can talk to other players behind the scenes (over PM or however you want). That is where alliances are formed. Networking, as Mazer put it, is probably even more important than the immunity challenges. That is the most fun part of the game in my view, and it doesn't take place in the thread or in any established quicktopic chat (although if you form an alliance and want to make a chat room you can). I used to have like hundreds of PMs from these games.

If there are people who don't know how the structure of the game works generally (with the immunity challenges and tribal councils), I'm sure Mazer or anyone can provide an overview.

I will likely be helping Mazer out with running the game rather than competing.

Fro being willing to help out is the reason we can start on it. It is very much appreciated. Completely agreed on the game as well.


But yeah, this is a lot different than survivor. Other than the few things I tell you not to share, you can pm....you can go offline, you can tell people whatever and cut deals. You have a lot of options on how to do it. And even if you don't know how or initiate it, someone will almost definitely reach out to involve you (they kind of have to to win).


One of my favorite bg moments was my first survivor game-helping take my 4 person alliance of matty c, alicia, some newbie i forget, and me to be the game's final 4. And we left some fools laying in the dust, wondering what happened.

The strategy on votes and alliances leaves a lot of the in thread gameplay behind.

You’re a good man. Technically yes but mafia is and will always be the more popular. Me personally I explained to you was doing this as a favour as you were running it and you have gone out of your way to organise it because otherwise Rev was freaking me out.

This has had a minimal amount of sign-ups whereas Mafia ones get signed up pretty quick. Survivor was enjoyable when I played it but it’s not gonna catch on like mafia. If you still wanna do it though, up to you.

To be honest, Rev’s weirdness has creeped me out a bit and don’t know how much I can enjoy this like when Knee ran it but I did sign up and I know you would/will do a grand job so if you keep up with this, I’ll still help you out if the others are still up for it after this but seems this may be a bit tainted now with this shit (again not your fault) but I wouldn’t be upset if we did another Mafia game instead.

As a refresher, we will have a challenge. There will be a lot of variance in how these challenges work.

After the challenge, the losing tribe will have to vote someone off. This will typically be a 24 hour period.

At some point, we will combine tribes and there will be open voting.

I will also hide an immunity idol. Up until the final vote, if someone finds it, they can play it to have votes against them not count.


During the whole game, you can chat, try to convince people who to vote for, etc.

Whilst I do appreciate the sentiment I’d like to point out my father is a 78 year old navel veteran who represented both England Students and St Kitts at rugby, taught for nearly three decades in some of the roughest schools in the North gaining a reputation as the hardest and fairest teacher there, once punching through a classroom wall to regain order, the same man lost his ear on a rugby pitch and asked the man next to him if it was his, stole a ships turbine from a German ship in dry dock to replace his own, carried a cow down from a Lakeland fell which had broken its leg and still to this day has hands like iron...
