Been good so far, was sorta expecting Jarrod after his mild trash talk earlier but no complaining. Hope we steal the show no matter who wins or loses. Badger/BBF is a great match-up.

BBF/Badger is a great match up but I am more than involved in the Topanga chat. If this were a match it'd be like Wrestlemania V. I'm Bobby Heenan. BBF is Ravishing Rick Rude and you Badger are The Ultimate Warrior. Warrior is going to lose to Rude with help from the outside from Bobby The Brain Heenan.

On show stealing, I think I already stole the show with that Battleship victory. My humble opinion.

Foregoing the obvious Screwjob stuff, that PPV has so much potential.

Kane vs Mankind in the red light was probably my favourite. Special as they didn’t overload it like they did the Fiend.

Yeah I agree. The pop Austin got in Canada going against Owen was pretty good too. Before the whole screw job Bret and Shawn were having a dam good brawl. If that match had another 10-15 minutes and no screw finish it could have been remembered in a totally different light.

Owen’s 3:16 “I just broke your neck!” shirt was also fantastic. Shame for obvious reasons that couldn’t go longer.

Sorry for the delay. Got caught up in homework last night.

Big E and Keith Lee are two people that immediately come to mind as wrestlers I'd love to see win the 2021 Royal Rumble. I felt Badger made a strong point for the slow-burn push being a good thing that could resonate organically with a big Royal Rumble victory. And I felt there was a lot of room to cover that Big E has seemingly been more outspoken about the BLM thing.

But BBF came back just as strong for his choice of Keith Lee, backing up the choice by showing that he's had a strong year both in NXT and on the main roster, even before he was moved up. And I think most of his arguments for Big E being a bad choice are very strong and hit home with more actual backing. Badger's best argument against Keith Lee was that his booking since joining the main roster has been too fast. But in this case, the simple fact of who he's been booked against worked in the favor of BBF's argument.

I also think Badger unfortunately let himself get caught in two traps which I'm not 100% sure were intentional. One was even acknowledging the comparison to DX. Assessing The New Day as a whole had minimal actual bearing on the argument at hand, and Badger ended up spending a paragraph arguing this, where most of it is about Xavier and Kofi. And then hammering the point about why he kept up the BLM argument without actually explaining why Big E would be better - or just leaving it as a moot point - was another steal of word count. Badger's final post ends up saying nothing new about Big E's superiority, nor effectively reinforcing the choice.

Meanwhile, BBF continued to add points of why waiting for a long journey would be bad, how Kofi's bad reign doesn't help Big E's credibility, and that Keith Lee is basically built to be a Royal Rumble winner in comparison to the likes of Nakamura and McIntyre.

With a stronger focus in the rebuttals, I think Badger could have a better chance here. But BBF takes this debate away with finesse.

Nah had a feeling it was going to go this way andI think Psycho pretty much nailed it to be honest. Should have said more about E in my last post and got too entangled in the DX stuff. Also didn’t mean to say Lee should spend years on the main roster like E, just that his rise should be a little slower like with E’s push but wrote the end a bit badly and didn’t have the words left to properly explain. Had the feeling shortly before your post and wished I could’ve gone back and edited but of course that wouldn’t have been fair as we don’t allow edits in our debates. Your arguments particularly your closer were really good so you deserved to take this home.

I felt that BBF focused more on his choice's recent rise, what he's been doing this year, what role he's been playing in the company recently. Badger didn't touch on Big E's prowess as a singles wrestler enough, focusing more on his faction and how long he's been around, so I thought the DX comparison by BBF was a good one. His point that just being in a popular faction doesn't mean you will be good at a singles push was solid. And then yea the debate ended up focusing on that comparison a little more than necessary.

I wasn't sold on either choice tbh, felt like you both should have put in a good promo from your choices so I could see their mic skills. Badger's first clip was my favorite, and had me feeling good about Big E, but that promo was still mainly Kofi talking with Big E not saying much except being humble.

I'm glad it ended in a 2-1 decision because I didn't feel either party deserved the 3-0.
