    Rosk's Rambling Roundup - Week 10

A five point gap has now formed between the top two and the chasing pack, following a much better goalscoring return for the league. For the first time this season, every club scored at least once. The fans are flocking back with half-season tickets selling at a rapid pace.

@Simon still refuses to be beaten, but will regret not putting more past a @Beefy side helped out yet again by a last-minute inspired transfer decision of Jeff – his third to come off in 4 weeks. Simon’s reliance on central midfielder Bruno Fernandes is becoming ever apparent and with Jimenez’s brain residue still coating the Emirates grass, reinforcements likely are needed if his hold on the top is to continue at this pace.

@Andy and @Gary J played out a predictably dull draw. Forgotten man Solanke is trying his utmost to be remembered, whereas Andy’s spot of Andy Ryan signing in the SL2 is looking to pay off with some regularity.

@Peter Griffin may actually be due an opportunity to be angry on Rajah for an acceptable reason this week as a clearly fine goal by Watkins was ruled out, meaning that @Chris Scott narrowly got the three points thanks to the on-form Jota and some bloke Beefy gave him whilst blagging DCL. Chris sits 5th in the league with the joint 3rd most goals scored, impressive start for him.

@Mikey_Jones and @son_of_foley went down as expected – two teams focused on attacking, but playing massively out of position. Rumours that Simon and Glen were playing in midfield for both sides remain unfounded. A hat trick from the Big Red Machine Kane Hester was to no avail for SOF however, as FOUR different scorers for Mikey got him the victory. Just shows what sacking off the mini golf can do for morale.

In an unexpected result, @Ringo actually scored more than 2 goals whilst smashing an unlucky @BBF 4-3. Whilst it’s encouraging for Beebs that Big Bad Blair Henderson is coming into form, the fact that he had to resort to picking Delfouneso in the first place should speak volumes. Ringo’s top boys Doyle and Armstrong laid it on a plate for Kabongo to get the winner on a Monday. Somehow, Ringo and Simon, despite being newcomers to the league, are TOP together.

And, perhaps for the good of his health, @The Beer Monster picked up a long awaited win vs pre-season joint favourite @Alex with a long-awaited glut of four goals. It makes his place in midtable that little bit more comfortable, with asquad full of promise. We were lucky enough to speak to the man himself after the game:

    Interview with The Beer Monster

Interviewer: Talk us through this week’s win.

The Beer Monster: Massive 3 points there. The season started well enough but really felt like we’d hit a wall. No goals for what seemed like several weeks, players sitting on the bench, and a couple of injuries all added up. It’s always good to take the points off someone with a strong track record in the league, makes you feel very clever, perhaps next time I see him I’ll tell Wenger what it would have been like if he’d ever beaten Mourinho. A few of the players had let me down recently, they’d let themselves down and they’d let their Mums down, but I’ve got faith in my lads (my new ones) and they repaid it this week.

Then one of them went and decided to be a racist.

    Stupid bloody footballers.

Interviewer: Any residing thoughts from Aubagate?

The Beer Monster: If it was ever going to come back and bite me in the arse this would have been a perfect week, considering the eventual trade. There never was any rage on my part. Just disappointment. He may be considered a top tier player, but I’m not shedding any tears at the loss from the team.

I wouldn’t want to ever ruin this game for anyone, but I guess I still don’t think it was actually that big of a deal to drop him. The player I initially dropped him for has gone on to score 100% more goals than him since and I’d currently still rather have them than Auba at the moment. Even though he has even sillier hair and doesn’t know how to pull his socks up.

I do appreciate the powers that be stepping in to make a ruling though, even if they do expose their nipples in their low cut tops, just shows they care.

Interviewer: Leave it out. It's fashionable according to the big dogs at ASOS. Anyway - how did you feel the draft went for you?

The Beer Monster: I was really pleased with my draft. At the time. A couple of punts in Rodriguez and Mitrovic, but I got some goals out of them and they’ve moved on.
The rest felt like a really solid spine to the team that I could see lasting the season.

I wish I’d got Fernandes though. I was going to pick him just before Simon but I hesitated. Not sure why, but you snooze you lose I guess.

Was very pleased with getting Bamford, despite the criticism, and then I went mental and let him go.

Interviewer: Where do you suspect you will finish this year?

The Beer Monster: I’m a realist, but also an optimist, so I think mid table would be a good result, especially considering my previous form. I’m never going to be picking up a random pick from the lower leagues at 2:58 on a Saturday that will bag me the 3 points as I’m just not on top of the market like that and never will be. So I’ll take my team of well knowns and a Yeovil player and be happy with what they get me.

Although saying that, Simon seems to play in the same style as me and he’s top of the league so who knows.

Interviewer: Who do you want to finish top, and bottom this year, and why?

The Beer Monster: I think I’d like Alex to do well. He has a dogged determination for the game but seems very genuine at the same time and offers some friendly advice. Or he’s an evil genius that manipulates people to his will. Either of these I can respect.

As for bottom it has to be Simon, seeing as he has a similar managerial style to me but seems to be far more successful with it, so from a purely jealous reason it’s him.

Plus he has shit taste in pastries.

Interviewer: Have you seen his odds/evens bollocks? No wonder he can't taste mince pies ffs. Thanks TBM. Best of luck for the rest of the season.

    Rosk’s Rambling Roundup - Week 11

    "And the rich get richer…"

Three packs are forming amongst the managerial wolves – the unexpected hotshots of Simon and Ringo now have a clear gap at the top, the chasing pack of seven teams are separated by just four points, and then the luckless trio at the bottom fighting out to stay in contention.

The inexplicable @Simon run of form continues as he makes it through the first round of fixtures unscathed and top scorer in the league. Rumours that he went back to his old house in Brighton to slide tackle a few rainbow flags moments after Vardy got the winner against @BBF remain unsubstantiated. No goal for competitive midfielder Bruno Fernandes hints that he may gut this out until the end. BBF again unlucky come away with nothing this week but he has to hope this will translate into points soon – I do too if only to stop him watching the fucking games whilst playing upfront on Clubs.

@Ringo has a habit of sneaking victories and for once wasn’t reliant on Adam Armstrong to get the winner – John Rooney of all people confirming this week’s victory against a spirited effort from @The Beer Monster. Ringo’s sound investment in his defence continues as he has now conceded four fewer than anyone else in the League, and 21 fewer than SOF.

Talking of good defences, @son_of_foley doesn’t have one. I’m not sure what I can say anymore. Between Lennon’s infuriating selection policies and his back four being leakier than Beefy’s Calvins when liking a female wrestler’s posts on Twitter, he hasn’t got much hope unless drastic changes are to happen. @Beefy smashed him to bits this week with a solid performance from DCL, Manny and Just Jeff – much needed after a recent dry run of form.

In what was labelled the worst match of the week, @Chris Scott narrowly beat @Alex 1-0 through a lone Joao goal. Alex can consider himself extremely unlucky with two benched players coming off their own benches and scoring 3 – perhaps if he didn’t bother this week he may have ironically won. Chris now climbs to third in the table. Who’s helping him out?

The performance of the week goes to @Mikey_Jones who claimed the first “perfect victory” of the season with all five players scoring to break @Gary J’s miserly defence record. In one game, Gary J conceded half the goals he has conceded all season. He was told this news after drinking heavily from a furry cup as he had assumed that with a massive two goals he had won – but instead of reacting angrily, he merely just got back to the Farfalle.

And in a long-awaited spectacular performance, @Andy beat a dispirited @Peter Griffin 4-1, climbing off the bottom of the league with class that he continues to argue that he has always had. Peter relying on a Jamille Matt goal is not a good sign and I cross my fingers that he can rise above this loss heading into the next round of fixtures. The Scottish boys are back and scoring for Andy – do we need to “watch this space”? 16pts from the top with 22 games to go – stranger things have happened… let’s hear from that man himself now.

    Interview with Andy

Interviewer: Hi Andy. Congrats on a win this week. How does it feel to finally get off the bottom of the League? In retrospect now that a third of the season has gone, please rate your draft technique now that you sit with 9 points from 11 games.

    Andy: Hello Mr Commissioner.
My draft technique was absolutely outstanding. I drafted the three favourites for top scorer to the same team - you can't argue with that. I take real issue with Gerrard and Lennon. Lennon for being shite and Gerrard for needlessly playing Morelos out of position.

Interviewer: Why do you think that so many managers seem to have it out for you?

Andy: Success breeds jealousy. Inter Milandy is a huge club in RFF. It has the longevity and the silverware. I haven't had the greatest start yet people are still talking about me - what does that tell you? Do I need to be liked? Absolutely not. I like to be liked. I enjoy being liked. I have to be liked. But it’s not like this compulsive need like my need to be praised.

Interviewer: Are there any big plans for the rest of this season?

Andy: I have big plans. Big plans. There may be a chance to get back into Scottish football grounds and that will make a real difference to my scouting. It seems like it's only a matter of time until Solskjaer goes at Man United and when that happens Greenwood is going to hit 30. Some people aren't pulling their weight and they may have to go. I'm not worried for me, I'll be all right, but if there does have to be a cull, then so be it. I mean, that's just natural selection, in the wild some people wouldn't survive.

Interviewer: Who do you want to finish top and bottom this year (not including yourself)?

Andy: I'd like to see PG do well, that would be a lovely Cinderella story, to come second to Inter Milandy. As for bottom, obviously Torn. He's not playing this season? Oh, better be BBF then, the cheat.

    Interviewer: Thanks cunt
