    2023-2034 MID-SEASON UPDATE

    NBA STANDINGS

    EASTERN CONFERENCE

    Atlanta (32-16)
    Philadelphia (30-18)
    New York (30-20)
    Washington (29-22)
    Miami (26-22)
    Toronto (25-23)
    Charlotte (24-25)
    Orlando (24-25)

    Milwaukee (22-27)
    Cleveland (22-27)
    Boston (22-28)
    Indiana (21-30)
    Detroit (21-31)
    Chicago (20-30)
    Brooklyn (20-30)

I can't get my head around Milwaukee being out of the playoffs. The consensus #1 pre-season pick still finishes in the 5 or 6 seed methinks.

    WESTERN CONFERENCE

    New Orleans (33-16)
    Utah (32-18)
    Minnesota (30-18)
    Dallas (29-20)
    LA Clippers (29-21)
    Denver (26-23)
    LA Lakers (24-25)
    Portland (24-26)

    San Antonio (24-26)
    Houston (22-27)
    Phoenix (22-27)
    Sacramento (22-28)
    Memphis (21-27)
    Oklahoma City (19-32)
    Golden State (18-32)

Utah and Minnesota with massive steps up while Memphis is in free-fall. Don't count out Denver. If they're in, they can win, and Phoenix is underwhelming again due to another long-term injury to Devin Booker. He's about 2 weeks out - can they steal in the number 8 spot, I think so.

    THE RAJAHITES

Miami signed PG D'Aaron Fox and Destiny lost his starting spot

Tim Splitter missed about 15 games with a severe ankle sprain (still not back)

Stagnant and I can't explain why

A regression's not the thing you want in a contract year

Finally putting the ball in the basket with a bit more regularity

    THE AWARDS RACES

    ALL-STAR TEAMS

    THE UPCOMING DRAFT CLASS

    RAJAHITE FREE AGENCY FEELINGS

    BITS & BOBS

    - Rumours abound that seveal teams are calling about Utah PG Tim Splitter. You can count the Bucks, the Cavs, the Clippers, the Mavericks, the Raptors. For what it's worth, the Jazz have said he's untouchable

    - He might not be the player he was but Utah have acquired PF Blake Griffin from the Orlando Magic

    - The Bulls have publicly declared that keeping Chris Scott is among their top priorities this off-season

    - The Hawks have publicly declared that keeping Rampage Reveille is among their top priorities this off-season

    - The Wizards have publicly declared that keeping Tyson Bell is among their top priorities this off-season

    - The Knicks have publicly declared that keeping Obi Sanctimony is their top priority this off-season

    - GMs from around the league have said that the list of players listed as untouchable include Tim Splitter, Obi Sanctimony, Chris Edlemon

    - It's said that Denver is shopping PG Jamal Murray and SG R.J. Barrett to other teams. This would be a fundamental change in the team that's gone to back-to-back finals

My guy did not develop as I imagined he would. Oh well. Live and learn for next player in 3-4 years.

NBA 2023-2024 END OF SEASON REPORT

    NBA STANDINGS

    EASTERN CONFERENCE

    Atlanta (53-29)
    New York (51-31)
    Philadelphia (49-33)
    Washington (44-38)
    Orlando (42-40)
    Charlotte (41-41)
    Brooklyn (38-44)
    Cleveland (38-44)

    Indiana (37-45)
    Boston (37-45)
    Milwaukee (36-46)
    Toronto (35-47)
    Miami (35-47)
    Detroit (34-48)
    Chicago (32-50)

Atlanta improved by 21 wins and out performed everyone's expectations (especially mine, I called them for #5 at my high point), Orlando improved by 13 wins - I said they'd be a team to look out for. Charlotte improves by 10 games. Brooklyn is down 18 wins from last year and still ends up with the 7 seed while Cleveland is 11 wins worse and still manages the 8 seed. Milwaukee is down 14 wins and crashes out of the playoffs in an unthinkable move for the Pre-Season pick for the title. Although Toronto fell off the pace, they still ended up 13 wins higher. Chicago improves by 10 games but is still in the basement of the East

    WESTERN CONFERENCE

    New Orleans (53-29)
    Denver (53-29)
    Dallas (48-34)
    Minnesota (47-35)
    San Antonio (44-38)
    Utah (44-38)
    L.A. Clippers (42-40)
    L.A. Lakers (41-41)

    Memphis (40-42)
    Portland (39-43)
    Houston (38-44)
    Sacramento (38-44)
    Golden State (37-45)
    Phoenix (33-49)
    Oklahoma City (31-51)

Minnesota is up 13 wins and into the playoffs - I guess Jimmy Butler's 2nd go around was better than the 1st. Utah stumbled in the second half behind injuries to Tim Splitter and Cade Cunnigham. The Lakers are down by 11 wins in LeBron's farewell year and just make the playoffs and he should end his career against Zion. Memphis is 10 games worse and out of the playoffs. Phoenix couldn't beat the injury bug and finishes down 11 while OKC is down 13 and in the Western Basement.

    THE RAJAHITES

    AWARDS

    ALL NBA TEAMS

    BITS & BYTES

    - Our NBA insider is reporting that only Tim Splitter and Obi Sanctimony are regarded as untouchable. Do they know something we don't about free agency?

    - Cleveland's got a near impossible task in the first round. Trying to knock off the #1 Hawks without Kevin Love (Pulled right calf muscle). Atlanta will be without starting C Chet Holmgren for the series though.

    - The Clippers are in a similar boat (ha, boat/clippers), as they'll try to knock off Denver without Kawhi Leonard, who will miss the next month with a broken ankle

    - The Jazz will take on the Mavericks in the first round without starting PG Cade Cunningham. Utah is deep but can they take out a very strong Mavericks team this shorthanded?

    - The Knicks will have to go it without their 6th man Malcolm Brogdon who's injured for the next 4-6 weeks but Brooklyn will be without Derrick Rose and C Jarrett Allen for the series.

    - Those who didn't make the playoffs will be looking to the draft, no doubt. We've looked at Willis Moor, now we look at Dwayne Clayton. This feels like an underwhelming year.

    - It's going to be a fun off-season with the following players turning heads as being potentially available - some as RFA, some as UFA. Some will be snapped up by team options but many will end up on the market. We'll have more in-depth coverage of free agency this off-season.

    Great stuff again.

How can I be that good and yet Bulls are terrible finishing last in the East. Get me out of there.

But we have Middleton unless injuries really hit hard. I saw that I was hurt which seems my luck.

I'm not going to cover the draft in the same detail as usual given that we're likely to move about a fair bit.

    BITS & BOBS

Oklahoma City has had 5 picks in the 1st round (5, 9, 11, 16, 19) and took players with all 5. How are they going to sign them all?

EDIT - They let pick #19 walk. I'm curious to see who signs him.

    FREE AGENCY BITS & BOBS

Most of us just have a qualifying offer on Day 1 of the Moratorium with the following exceptions

Obi Sanctimony - 4 year New York (159M + Player Option) & Sacramento (161M). If nothing changes I will re-up in New York for 4 years

Tyson Bell - 4 year offer to stay in Washington (135M & Player Option)

Rampage Reveille - 5 year offer to stay in Atlanta (172M)

Everyone else is just rocking Qualifying Ofers to this point. I will update this post with every day that progresses. I will wait a minimum of 4 hours between each post and I will give notice when i am done for the night and I will not post before 9AM EST on these matters. If you have any requests either send them via PM or in the thread.

I will not force a team to come after you but I will try and cause the one you want to sign with to win the bidding if I can

Lakers definitely need a PG if they have money I’d like to possibly end up there.

So I've been talking with Santcty on PM, and the goal for me is to get to Boston asap. Free agency or trade, hopefully Free Agency so Boston doesn;t sufferer by giving up trade of players and picks.

Any other Rajah guys wana join me in BOSTON?

Whoa! Get to Boston first. As was said in the PM, I'm not going to orchestrate anything... what you can do at best hope, is sign the Qualifying Offer (not the long-term deal), and then request a trade in the new season, hoping that Boston is one of the suitors.

We're emulating (somewhat) a real-life situation. A player 3 years in isn't calling his shot for one specific team when he's an RFA.

guess that part slipped through the cracks. no more recruiting until I get there but once I'm there I'm allowed to recruit?

Is it possible to stick with current contract? And if so how many years do I have left?

0 years left. They've made you a qualifying offer and a 5 year offer. (It's all about 4 posts up)

I’m excited to help build something in Washington, I feel like we’ve been trending upwards season over season. If I can keep improving my offensive game, the team will only get stronger.

As soon as I've got time to get around to it. I do 2 podcasts - both based on films - and I record and edit them both. It's an editing night tonight. I need to get it up in the next 70 minutes or so.

It'll be a bit of a slower process due to the time difference between me and you good people.

When teams make offers, I need to to respond to people via PM so if it feels I'm AWOL, I'm just in communication with others.

I'm sure it will be. just tube down throat to cut away any exposed blood vessels.

    EKG or something like that,

between check in, pre-op, and operation, its gunna take all day.

That sucks. I had some intestine issues in high school and had to have a similar procedure and fasting regimen. Hope it goes well.

Pabs. I can't make it work - you want 12M and no-one's got space to sign you. I think you'll get some suitors next year (we'll call it a year in the Chinese league) but if you'd rather just create a new guy for college, I'll ensure Pabs never makes it back into the lineup.

It's a shame. Would probably have been useful on the Jazz, but I guess my guy wanted to get paid.

    20224-2025 MID-SEASON UPDATE

    NBA STANDINGS

    EASTERN CONFERENCE

    Milwaukee (34-14)
    Charlotte (33-15)
    Toronto (32-16)
    New York (32-18)
    Orlando (29-19)
    Cleveland (28-18)
    Atlanta (23-26)
    Philadelphia (23-27)

    Miami (23-27)
    Washington (21-28)
    Chicago (21-29)
    Boston (19-29)
    Indiana (19-30)
    Detroit (18-33)
    Brooklyn (17-32)

Milwaukee rebounds this year to an elite spot but injuries have ravaged Rajahite teams. Atlanta at the 7 is nuts - as is Washington on the outside looking in.

    WESTERN CONFERENCE

    Dallas (38-11)
    Oklahoma City (36-13)
    New Orleans (35-13)
    Minnesota (31-18)
    Phoenix (30-18)
    Denver (28-22)
    San Antonio (26-22)
    Sacramento (22-27)

    Golden State (21-28)
    Houston (20-29)
    Memphis (19-30)
    Portland (16-32)
    Utah (15-35)
    LA Clippers (14-36)
    LA Lakers (13-37)

I've never seen such a divide between the great teams and the terrible teams with really very few in the middle ground. Injuries have again ravaged the league this year and is causing this disparity.

    THE RAJAHITES

Out with a Fractured Leg (1-2 Months)

Out with a Broken Leg (2-4 Weeks)

Out with a Torn ACL (6-8 Weeks)

    THE AWARDS RACES

    ALL-STAR TEAMS

    THE UPCOMING DRAFT CLASS

More info will be available once teams start to scout the recently declared Diabby - The cousin of the China-inhabiting Pablo Diablo.

    RAJAHITE FREE AGENCY FEELINGS

    BITS & BOBS

    - The Los Angeles Clippers are pursuing the services of Chris Edlemon from San Antonio. I don't know how that works for either party but they're pursuing him via trade currently. For what it's worth Utah and Phoenix are also pursuing the Spurs walking Triple-Double threat.

    - Chris Edlemon is the only Rajahite to be deemed untouchable to this point.

    - The most sought after players in the league this year are Emoni Bates (UTAH) and Trae Young (ATL)

    - Orlando is said to be shopping unhappy SF Jonathan Isaac (89) and his very underwhelming 4.7 PPG

    - Once again, It's said that Denver is shopping SG R.J. Barrett to other teams. This time they're also trying to move PF Onyeka Okongwu. 3 Finals and 2 titles in the past two years guarantees nothing. Jordan's Bulls could relate.

    - Indiana is trying to move PF Domantas Sabonis (87) and his 12.9 PPG and 9.0 RPG. He's very unhappy currently and a break might be a good thing but those numbers will be hard to replace.

    - OKC look to be wanting to move C Mohamed Bamba (88) and 14.6 PPG and 10.3 RPG. They're number 2 in the West and to move him would be a mistake.

    - However, the biggest player being shopped around is Bradley Beal and his 26.1 PPG.

    - They're not what they once were but SAN acquired Klay Thompson in return for GSW getting DeMar DeRozan

    - Philadelphia has acquired PF Kevin Love from Cleveland

    - Charlotte has acquired C Nikola Vucevic from Orlando

You can request a trade and if Boston offers a deal, i'll do what I can. It'll have to be at the start of next season though.

    - Zion Williamson is out for the playoffs and the Pelicans will also be without C Rudy Gobert It may be Denver's destiny to head towards a 4th straight finals appearance

    - Orlando will take on the juggernaut Milwaukee Bucks without PG Justin Robinson, who is likely to miss the entire post-season with a knee injury

    - They're stacked but Dallas will be without the services of C Kristaps Porzingis until at least the beginning of the NBA finals. First up is a date with Obadiah Toppin and the Sacramento Kings.

    - Toronto is without SG Terrence Ross for the season with a dislocated patella

Don't take the position rank/overall rank thing to mean anything. I'd guess you'll go in the top 5

    MOCK DRAFT RUCKUS

Draft Express has him going at #4 to Memphis
    2K at #10 to Portland
    NBA.com at #4 to Memphis

But we've got the Draft Lottery to happen first.

We are now entering the Free Agency session. With Edlemon eligible there may be a need for some PM's to figure everything out. I will update this when I can (could be 2 mins, could be a couple of days)
