Video game music challenge day 3 - 8-bit music

I suspect this may separate the older UK-based members like me from the rest of the forum. No-one I knew growing up had a NES or Master System - It was all about Spectrum vs Commodore 64, and I had the former.

Factoid: the Spectrum 128k and Atari ST shared the same soundchip, despite the latter being a 16-bit machine.

That's why I put the whole walkthrough of the game up. Each level's music is great, cherry topping the sundae with the theme.

There's already three games here I've chosen at different points in the challenge. Hope you don't paint yourself into corners.

    64 owner?
For all of three games before we got the SNES. T2, Navy Seals and Fiendish Freddie’s Big Top O’ Fun.

This one's hard for me, because I have little experience with 8-bit games. Most of my retro has been 16-bit and onwards, the only NES game I've played much is the original Metroid.

Scratch that, Silver Surfer has a better song. The game is featured in an AVGN episode, but the music pushes the NES to the limit with its complexity, I can see it translated to a good modern song.

We had a C64 and I loved me some Dizzy. None more so than Treasure Island Dizzy. Which when you think about it made no sense, as there was a bug which meant I could never complete the game. Ah well, what did I know, stupip kid. Music though, cracking.

So many to choose from but the theme to Bubble Bobble will always have a place in my heart.

Simple yet brilliant, like the game itself really.

Another great one in Chip N Dale.

Got the Disney Pack on PS4 that has Duck Tales 1 & 2, Chip N Dale 1 & 2 and Dark Wing Duck. Worth every penny.

My favorite NES game (I consider Tetris a Gameboy game, rather than an NES game). I played it so much as a teenager that I used to be able to play all four levels of world 1 without looking. The music is so iconic and itís such a driving force behind the world of Mario and the story told in this game. Each level the music if different and the songs set the mood for each over world. I love it.

I realized my video didn't post, but I also realize that I technically picked my option a second time, since this was supposed to be a track from the original Metroid. In that spirit, I'll go for a different game:
