Aye that's a good one, especially combined with the opening animation. I could have chosen that for 4/5 different categories.
Expect a lot of Zelda music from me. It’s all just so good. I love the intro music for ALTTP. It creepy, dark, and let’s you know that the game is about to be a real adventure.
The one from Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow gives me chills every time.

This game has issues aplenty, but what an introduction this is.
Yeah I'll totally admit to not reading all the way through and missing the no repeat part. I thought it was just great intros and those three for different reasons were my favs.
I'd have saved Earthbound because that's full of great music.
Wild Arms has a great intro theme and the video I always enjoyed too.
Die Hard pretty much has the same music through out. I loved that shot of Nakatomi exploding as you get ready to step into John McClane's feet (no shoes in the game either!). I got this game for Christmas as the world had already progressed to Super NES. I was behind the times but Die Hard made it ok. My Aunt had gotten a Super NES and she gave me her NES some time before. Now it was Christmas and I knew I wasn't getting what I coveted (Super NES, my Dad was a dink and doesn't like video games and didn't want to encourage me sitting and wasting my life away) but my Mother got me Die Hard. Fire that sucker up to see Nakatomi exploding and I was hooked on that game right then and there.
I'd get that Super NES the next year when prices had dropped. I still have it in excellent working condition too.
Die Hard is hard as fuck too. I made it to the very end once and died instantly when I was younger. I suck even more at it now when I drag it out. The only time I ever beat it I used a Game Genie.
Easy, you posted Wild Arms first. You can do a proper Earthbound track later.
There is a lot to choose from too. Earthbound's music, top to bottom, was nothing I had heard from a game before when I played it for the first time. From that eerie static entrance, to the peculiar background music when naming characters and on. I love that game.
This music is one of my greatest accomplishments!

funny thing is, I was gonna choose the intro from Earthbound, but the ALTTP just popped into my head as I was copying the URL.
ALTTP is a quality choice though. I love most music from Zelda.

going with donkey kong country, here. this music coming out of an snes game was ridic at the time. the intro into the title screen itself just had me so excited to play, and this song had a lot to do with that. represents the attitude of the game so well.
