He really didnt have a choice. Her work Visa is expired and she has to fly back to Australia. That's going to automatically require a 14 day quarantine not to mention the extra additional time it will take to get all of her paperwork done due to most places not working. Then you have the fact she would have to jump back thru the hurdle of flying back into the states which is shut down.
