Some General Rules:
No breadcrumbing or role-claiming
When we move into lynches- In addition to hammers, lynches will go through based on who is leading voting totals at the end of a day phase. Day phases will be 48 hours max. Night will max out at 24.
Time limit effects on an exact timeframe (If I say you have 48 hours at 1217 pm on Tuesday, votes will automatically cut off at 12:17 on Thursday).

Clarification. In addition to hammers a lynch will go through based on who is leading at the end. So two questions. For the purposes of this game is "No Lynch" a player or is no lynch the same as no voting. EX:
Doc: 1 HFR
No Lynch:9
No vote: 8
Is this Doc gets voted out or a no lynch?
I presume that Doc:8, HFR:7, No vote: 3 =Doc lynch but I want to be sure.
We all know that I play this game based on working a lot of numbers and probabilities of this or that and last game showed just how quickly that falls apart when I don't have or don't understand the variables.
It would be No Lynch, not Doc.
So yes, No Lynch basically counts as a "person".

Well, I should be around most of the day to peek in on the proceedings but baring a day time event.

Unless I missed something we don't know how many scum, town, neutral but until then 1/4 scum means most likely we're talking 4 maybe 5 (though that would be high normal) scum v 14 town. If it's 4 our odds of hitting town are higher than normal sitting at 20.5% rather than our average 25% give or take. Nearly 80% chance of hitting ourselves? Even assuming some neutrals without knowing if they are pro or anti town knocking them out at best doesn't hurt us.
Prologue
It was a peaceful day at Pennbrook College.
Cory, Topanga, Shawn, Jack, Eric, Rachel, and Angela were all hanging out the at Quad. They were running around, dumping water on people, sitting in awkward poses, making funny faces at the 4th wall, and participating in very acts of inoffensive hijinx while listening to some vaguely alternative-influenced pop music.
After 2 or so minutes of this soundtrack friendly activity, the gang settled down.
“Well, glad that we’re all back together. And relieved that Stuart won’t be bothering us anymore”. Said Cory. Topanga joined in “I was so scared. When that creep hit on me, I felt powerless. And when he threatened to get you kicked out of school….I’m just glad that he’s been fired”.
Rachel was sitting with Jack. She spoke up “I wish I was as relieved as you guys. When he said, “You meddling kids ruined me! You’ll regret this..All of you will’, I believed him”
Shawn looked pensive “You know, Cor….I think Rachel’s right. We need to be careful. We’re too close to graduation. We can’t afford to have anything bad happen now”.
This caused Eric to drop his sandwich, and spring to his feet “Bad things will not happen. Lose one friend, lose all friends. Lose all friends, lose self”. Eric looked around the quad with fervency, and then set back down.
At another corner of campus. Mr. Feeny was meeting with Mr. Turner. “Mr. Turner…I’m worried about our kids. That Stuart is a bad egg. If we don’t stop him, I just know he’ll hurt the kids”.
Mr. Turner thought about it “Feeny, you’ve followed the kids from elementary school to college. I took one into my home. Obviously, we have not done enough. I’m with you. To the end of the line”
Unbeknownst to the friends, there was a meeting happening in old abandoned Psychology lab, which overlooked the quad.
“Look at them”, spat Stuart “With their vaguely ridiculous mannerisms, I can’t believe those kids got me kicked out of the university. Gone is my adjunct professor dream life. If only I had accounted for Cory’s elementary school teacher turned college professor coming to his aid”
“But I will have my vengeance”
Stuart turned to face the room. “The charmed life of Cory Matthews ends today. This group has ruined all of our lives. Lauren, Cory led you on, only to coming running back to Topanga. You could have been the queen Bee of that group. Harley, Griff…In your days, you were the leaders of the cool bullies. Yet somehow, that group of rejects dominated your school, and you were forced into constant detentions by their lackey teachers”.
“That boy has had us playing his rules for too long.
"He’s about to find himself in our world”

Talking will be allowed during night phases.
Day 1 will work as follows:
You will be voting for a player to receive IMMUNITY to killing actions on night 1 and day 2 (including lynch).
We have 18 players, so reaching 10 will hammer.
If there is no hammer, the leading vote getter at 48 hours will be awarded the immunity.

I stand by this with the addition of nobody should get immunity. This does nothing to help really anybody right now. Scum weren't going to kill one of their own and D2 they are unlikely to throw anybody under the train even if the cop gets one out the gate and is balsey enough to make a play that reveals himself. Since we'll know who is immune so will scum so they'll just target someone else as will any vigilante, serial killer. It doesn't even change the math since we don't know if the protected person scum or town. So unless someone has something to add or if we have no choice and someone HAS to be immune. I vote no immunity either.
PS: it actually does change the math a tiny, tiny bit for the doctor. He now has a 1/16 chance of successfully blocking a kill rather than a 1/17 so from just below 6% to just over 6%. Not enough to give a shit about this early.
If it becomes obvious that No protection just isn't happening I'll decide then I've no real argument against JP though getting a free pass to D3 sounds sweet and I want that!

The pros and cons of day 1 lynch vote (where we have not gotten any momentum going lately) versus a day 1 immunity vote (which doesn't accomplish much either) are up for debate. I would prefer a day 1 lynch vote personally, but with the immunity vote, I'd say let's just hammer this quickly and move on. Nothing will be gained from day 1 discussion on an immunity vote so just move it along.
I say we at least try and get someone the immunity if it's available and JP is good with me too as he's a conversation starter and can give reads. The cop could always check him anyway.

Thanks for the vote, but whether it's me or anybody else, the cop should not check them until their immunity is over. Even if you hit scum, you can't do anything about it.
I know I am too, but I won't be voting for myself because others may see it as scummy.
We're all in the dark here and I'd either try and help someone who might have the best shot as being a good leader for town or play safe and give no immunity. The immunity period is shorter this time too, not right up to N3 like Turtles. There's less risk involved in my view of an immunity that only goes through to the end of Day 2.

Mind, I see what you mean by this from a certain angle. If somebody starts acting as a campaign manager then you'd start to question intentions.
But in general terms, we absolutely should make sure somebody gets immunity.
I see your point and I understand that, but it could still be useful as could give the cop a day's headstart and look at the vote train if the results come back as scummy. If anything else, it's 100% peace of mind.
It was more an addendum anyway to my original thought. If the cop takes a random pick on one of the non-immune then I'm fine with that too.

I get what you mean, but in that time they'd still be able to use any night role they had, unless the RB was sat on them. But if the RB sits on one person all the time then you can't eliminate other people from multiple roles, by far the strongest aspect of the RB.

Normally you'd be correct, but what do we profit. If we hit scum, they can't be killed, but they weren't going to be killed anyway. Scum wouldn't kill them which leaves a vigilante if we have one. Except since it won't be a secret who's immune the scum and vigilante will just move on. We don't really profit even under ideal circumstances. At least not as far as I can see. Maybe someone with more knowledge of the show can give me some clues as to what flavor I might be missing?

Ideally the optimum outcome is we select a power role townie for immunity. Keep in mind whoever gains immunity will mostly likely receive added attention during the night. If it's crystal clear at the conclusion of the immunity phase that person is town then either they will need protection or greatly risk being the target of scum. If that person is a vanilla townie then resources better used elsewhere may be diverted to keep them alive.
I have a very short memory in these games. Some of you guys remember other player's traits and tendencies, I don't remember shit (for the most part).

Honestly though it makes sense to town... And to scum too not give anyone immunity. I know that makes me look bad probably but it's similar. To a dya 1 no lynch, accept it gains steam quicker because the urge to put pressure on someone just to see what happens is kind of eliminated.

Upside: You've made a doctor or cop unkillable for 2 days
Let's say we have a scum dead to rights and we can't lynch them for 2 days. Instead we could RB them, wait until the 3rd to kill them.
Let's say we don't protect a doctor or cop and we lose them in the first 2 days.
Well guess they're dead.
The important thing to remember though is that immunity in the first couple days does not mean clear. But sure, it's the wrong move.
