Don't recall. Just seems like everybody's gotta post their immediate speculation as news so they can get look like they got the scoop.

Vince's acting in the segment with Sami and Theory was better than what we're accustomed to see from him.

    Sami was marvelous.

Congrats to Dana for her first title reign.

Becky absolutely killed with her performance.

Riddle and Randy, back on the same page after teasing some tension, have been the best part of RAW for a while. They have managed to keep it fresh and entertaining, which is a huge credit to both performers.

Not sure where Priest is going.

EXCLUSIVE NEWZ: Sources tell us that Damien Priest's new Good vs. Evil character is leading to him being magically split into two little people wrestlers (Damien & Priest obviously) who will then go on to have a match at WrestleMania where spectacular CG effects will merge them back into a whole rejuvenated Damien Priest once again. STAY TUNED FOR MORE.

    What a tit.
I mean if he actually saw the video Rollins immediately gets dude in a choke hold before everything pretty much gets squared away.

I wonder if he posted this when a fan jumped Bret Hart at the HOF ceremony.

Lastly, it's Chavo. Rode the coattails of Eddie and a wooden horse his entire career.

I'm assuming it was because the show was sponsored by Red Notice.

I know rock gadot and Reynolds are in that movie but that is the only thing I know about it. I'm assuming it's a heist movie so that makes sense. Still wish we would have gotten a tiny gg.

FBI agent Rock has to clear his name with the help the world's number 2 art thief, every Ryan Reynolds character ever.

And Wonder Woman is the world's number one art thief, and she's in their way.

And I'll tell you right now...The Rock and Ryan Reynolds DO NOT always see eye to eye.

So it's a can they exist storyline.
    Seems right up WWE's alley.

@Peter Griffin thoughts on Seth Rollins defending himself from an attacker? Should he have just taken the beating?

That would have been a decent payoff to this ridiculous story. He could have changed his name to Egglias.

They missed the boat on having Rollins do the barricade bomb on Bálor (safely, obviously) to call back to the fact that they had their Summerslam match in that same arena and that allowed Bálor to be crowned the first Universal champion. If you're going to do a beatdown, might as well have some parallels there.

I kind of feel I need to change my recaps to show the absurdity of what actually happens.

    For example:
Kevin Owens used the flashlight on his phone to search for a mysterious egg so he could earn a championship match.

We also didn't give Big E enough respect for his Happy Festivus singlet.

I'm curious if Edge inserts himself into the title picture and we get a 4-way with Big E defending against Edge, Rollins, and Owens at Day One. Rollins has a title shot, but they never said WHEN. Big E v. Seth Rollins is something I could see going to Rumble.

For some reason, I've always liked Maryse more.

If someone pins Dana, and that person doesn't win the 24/7 title from that, well, that is yet another missed opportunity. Doudorp's the only one that hasn't had a title in this menagerie. Let her do it.

Rollins beat Bálor. Good match. Was dying to see it and they delivered the moment where Bálor went for a slingblade and Rollins countered with his own slingblade. Thumb to the eye was WWE’s form of protection for the otherwise straightforward loss for Bálor.

McMahon told Theory that he has IBS, an ingrown toenail, and an earache. McMahon needed a buddy, so Theory was requested to watch the show with him. McMahon threatened murder if Theory stole again.

Becky and Liv will have their championship match next week. Liv had a good shot, calling out Becky’s contract being the reason Liv’s friends are gone.

RK-Bro beat RooDolph to retain the gold. Match was built too slow to get to the commercial break but got better after. Riddle put a wig on Orton before the match and it didn’t go well. Their tag chemistry is in good standing.

Edge returned and we got a good zag with the additional return of Miz and Maryse. Solid back and forth between the two of them. Edge mentioned Miz getting attention on “other shows” and Miz leaving his friends high and dry to be fired. Definitely didn’t anticipate Edge and Miz but they laid out a lot of ground work there, and Edge put Miz over well. Hopefully it’s not a lengthy feud because that’s not beneficial to either guy.

Styles said he is blind, thus needing to wear glasses, after the fire extinguisher gag from last week.

Street Profits beat Alpha Academy. It was a nothing burger, and Styles was exposed as a liar. Beforehand, it was hilarious that Styles was on commentary as a blind man. He asked “who is winning” and I cackled.

McMahon told Theory he needs better manners while watching the show together.

Pearce said he presumed Owens was getting ready for his match with E. Instead, Owens was scrolling on his phone. Rollins called Owens a liar multiple times and Owens came off delusional, indicating he would beat E in the main event and get added to the Rollins/E match at the Day One PPV. Pearce and Sonya eventually decided Owens’ idea was better than their own, openly showing inefficient leadership.

Priest beat Crews to retain his championship. The ref magically heard Azeez attack Priest and ejected him. Disappointing in the sense this match seemed disposable.

The Mysterios beat The Hurt Business. Dom loses a lot so it speaks volumes that he pinned Alexander.

Team Liv beat Team Becks. It was Liv, Rhea, Nikki, Dana, and Bianca vs. Becky, Carmella, Zelina, Doudrop, and Tamina. This was a really long match. Liv eventually pinned Tamina. Also, Liv, again, got the upper hand on Becky through physicality after the match. Liv’s getting much better booking than Toni on Smackdown. Bianca did hit an impressive spinebuster on Doudrop.

McMahon essentially wanted Theory to stop watching the show and just look at McMahon.

Big E used scourge to describe KO. Nice.

McMahon slapped Theory, and this pairing may continue?

Owens beat E by DQ. Rollins came off like a massive idiot, being baited by KO and eventually snapping. He attacked KO and then set up the triple threat for the PPV. The match between E and KO was pretty good. Given a lot of time, too.

I really enjoyed the RKBro tag title match with Ziggler/Big Bob. Randy always does the little things so well, like seconds before the hot tag, instead of laying on his stomach pretending his legs didn't work (like so many guys do), he rolled on his side and used his legs to push himself back to the corner. The same amount of time was spent riling the crowd up for the hot tag, but it just looks so much more believeable. Dolph's nearfall and Randy's kickout from the ZigZag, followed by the counter to the RKO outta nowhere was terrific, and kudos to Riddle for holding Roode back on the outside, preventing him from breaking up the pin.

The Edge return / interruption by the Miz was definitely worth watching. I liked how Edge put Miz over on the mic, as there isn't enough of this sort of thing. Edge knows that it means more to beat someone after you remind the crowd that they're worthy. Since Maryse has returned with Miz, are they setting up a scenario for Beth Phoenix to return as well?

I thought that was a great showing by Liv Morgan.

It would have been awesome had she won, but nonetheless this was a career defining match. She went 12+ minutes in the RAW main event against one of the Four Horsewomen, looked legit while doing so, lost only because Becky cheated. In the process, did a great job in helping Lynch solidify her heel status.

Up next, hopefully a Rumble victory…

Terrific opener cage match with Big E and Owens. We know Owens always delivers, and he did not disappoint here. Big E had a great cage match a while back against Lashley, and I think this was even better. Looking forward to the three way with Rollins at Day One.

The Miz segment with Edge featured two guys who are among the best on the mic on the entire roster. I don't blame Edge for wanting to work with Miz, even though I don't think either will gain anything from this feud. Miz will probably win at Day One due to cheating in some form or other, and we will get more from them. Both guys know how to make their opponents look great.

The Doudrop/Bianca was just getting good until they pulled the "heel walks out" lame finish, but it was effective in making me want more from them both. I think this feud has the potential to help both performers look even better when they are done. Bianca is established but she has not yet elevated anyone else. Doudrop looks like the monster we always wanted Tamina/Nia Jax to become.

What the hell are they doing with Alpha Academy? When was the last time neither tag team partner made a tag in a tag match?

Priest moving on to Ziggler next. He needs a real feud - I was hoping he'd get AJ Styles. They are planting the seeds for the breakup with AJ/Omos.

Liv Morgan showed she belongs. Becky helped bring out the best in her. I like your thought of a Rumble victory for Morgan, but I suspect it will be won by a surprise returning Bayley.

Missed the first hour of the show but caught the rest and liked it for the most part. Little progressions, enough time to put the Day 1 PPV together and they're doing an excellent build of things right now.

Most intrigued by Liv and Naomi's paths. I thought either they could do it with the title change for Liv last night or, as expected, use a shady finish to further the storyline. I think Naomi is the longer build so perhaps a Rumble win for Liv would be the right way to go to get that rematch.

Feels like an AJ/Omos pairing has been stale for awhile now, like one doesn't really need the other. Let Omos be the muscle for someone that's actually a midcarder, maybe an Austin Theory. Just spitballing here, but they've wasted time with Styles so long where he could've been a title holder or contender, stuck in the tag team stuff instead.

Tired of the show replays on opposite shows, that's the only complaint. More of the roster, less of the replays.

You should change horses and back her rather than Dana as Liv actually has a chance of making something. Maybe this can keep you interested in the WWE product at least for now. But yeah she’ll get there.

I do like Liv and thought the match on Raw was great. If they have a rematch at Day 1 then I'll be sure to tune in as I'll be rooting for Liv.

Also I think nZo grew up a couple of towns away from me.

    I close my eyes
Only for a moment, and the moment's gone
    All my dreams
Pass before my eyes, a curiosity

    Dust in the wind
All they are is dust in the wind

    Same old song
Just a drop of water in an endless sea
    All we do
Crumbles to the ground, though we refuse to see

    Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind

    Now, don't hang on
Nothin' lasts forever but the earth and sky
    It slips away
And all your money won't another minute buy

    Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
(All we are is dust in the wind)
    Dust in the wind
(Everything is dust in the wind)
Everything is dust in the wind

I don't know what I'd do if they actually told a long term storyline with Liv winning the Rumble and then taking the title from Becky at 'Mania using the feet on the ropes tactic to win. I might go jump in a freezing lake to prove it was real.

It’s probably more likely gonna be Charlotte taking both titles or Asuka (wouldn’t mind that though).

Somebody new (ish) in Liv’s case would be fucking epic but WWE liking to stay in the safe zone even realistically business-wise the only game in town will very likely go with someone already true and tested to end Becky’s reign.

Only thing I’ll comment on was that Liv’s video package prior to the match was good, but it was weird with Ridge Holland’s theme as the soundtrack haha.

Liv is no where close to being ready for the main women's title. She is not able to carry a feud on the mic or in the ring.

I think she's getting better but she needs more time to develop. She's a fine transitional opponent for Becky to learn some great stepping stones though.

There is a foundation there though. Becky had to cheat and promo-wise will dismiss a rematch but if they build it up enough where Liv gets a win and Mania rematch so she gets her win back.

Practically it will be likely be somebody else but the underdog story is there to be built if they lay the bricks.

She’s not the best in the ring but sometimes that doesn’t matter if she connects with the crowd which she has done.

She could be a great slow burn if they go on that path.

Among Liv's biggest problems to me is that she still has that jobber stink all over her. To make it worse, they even magnified it with Becky's promos in this latest feud, with so much of the discussion centering around how before she left, Becky told her she'd be champion and she's done nothing in the meantime.

Her push came out of nowhere, and as a result, it comes across as purely a filler spot for Becky.

Additionally, Liv hasn't had any long matches. The fact that only the very top of the women's card gets to have matches that might include a commercial break has really hurt her. It reinforces the fact that she doesn't deserve the spot, and that nobody does. But with Bayley and Asuka out of action, and Bianca being pushed aside (to give her a chance to raise Doudrop), the women's card is depleted.

But despite all of that, she is connecting with the crowd, and Becky has clearly helped raise her standing in the eyes of fans. She had a heckuva match and only lost due to Becky's cheating.

I’ve said it before many times and will say it once again. Despite the “Women’s Revolution” there’s such a big divide in the Women’s Division where anyone new coming up will have that “jobber stink” because they push the top so strongly and the rest are left in the dust despite a big division.

That’s not a dog on any talent as there’s a lot, but the top are just pushed so strongly compared to the rest.

Agreed, and that's kind of what has made Bianca's rise and run all the more remarkable.

In order to become better, it is often necessary to work with those above you.

If a female wrestler is stuck working with the likes of Dana, Carmella, and Tamina, in 2 minute matches, how does WWE expect them to get better?

Big E’s “Happy Festivus” outfit was a mark out moment next to the blazers.

If only BG hadn’t taken the week off here as not to comment lol.

Allot of people aren't ready when they win their first title. Hell, Roman wasn't ready when he won his first couple World titles. Many first title runs are forgettable, but people learn from it and the next run is better. You have to pull that trigger and give them a chance.

That’s a valid point, but it’s almost like there’s a problem with the head booker.

The Riott Squad was legitimately over in the late Winter-early Spring but Vince opted to make Natalya and Tamina an actual thing in the Women’s tag division. There was a great opportunity to use the Queen of the Ring tournament as a springboard to build the next era of the women’s division but instead we got two minute matches and a make-right with Thea Trinidad. Not sure you can really fault Liv for the fact that she hasn’t gotten an opportunity; Monday was probably her first ever singles match that went more than 10 minutes, I thought she acquitted herself admirably.

As Sasori said, nobody is ever really ready. Hell, many questioned whether Ettore could handle the big belt because he’s “too comedic”, I’d say he’s doing just fine. The fact is that the very fickle crowd is currently in Morgan’s corner, which should count for something; when somebody manages to capture lightning in a bottle, that really shouldn’t be squandered like they did with my dude Braun. For Vince, who’s made an epic career out of reading the crowds, he’s sure been whiffing a lot as of late.

Put the strap on Liv, give her a chance to run with it.

I've heard people in the business say that a good babyface just needs to be able to sell well and get the crowd on their side. Liv does both really well. With ratings down, now is the time to experiment. Taking the title off Becky for a month isn't going to hurt Raw one bit.

And honestly, regarding putting the strap on Liv, if not now, when?

Both Asuka and Alexa, RAW superstars, are imminent; Bayley, a “free agent”, is due to return sometime around Mania. TV time gets a lot more difficult to come by once those three are back.

They could have had Liv win on Monday, but an incensed Becky gets a rematch at Day One and finds a way to take it back. Liv says "she's had a taste" of what it's like to be champion and wants it again. But, she falls short due to reasons. Then you transition to whoever wins the Rumble, because as much as I like Liv's plucky nature, that should not be her. Another way they could have gone, is that seeing an increasingly dejected Nikki, and the sheninigans from Liv getting screwed, an avenging dark angel in Rhea steps to Becky and says she's going to take the title off her. Becky scoffs because she says "you couldn't beat Charlotte, I beat Charlotte multiple time, what makes you think you can beat me?" Then you go from there. Involve Bianca in some way, because she NEEDS to avenge her 26 second loss to Becky at some point, and waiting years to do things doesn't seem feasible at this point. Maybe even have Becky lose the title at Rumble, and she tries that same trick from before and finagle her way into the match. But everyone else is like "nah, bitch" and work together to make sure she gets eliminated. Crowd would love it. Becky can still rant, and you show that you're moving forward in advancing other stars.

Liv's still not ready to be champion. She's progressed, but still needs more time to really show us who she is and why the crowd should keeping following her. As mentioned by @Tyson it's all on the booker. While the crowd is behind her, I wouldn't classify it as hot yet. Strowman was hot when he was around... Becky was hot... Liv is eh, picking up steam.

The booking of Liv Morgan has been perfectly fine in the last year or so. Prior to her reuniting with Ruby Riott she was probably on the chopping block. But they see the potential and rightfully so.

I am curious why people are getting behind Liv. It can't be the wrestling, the promos aren't really there. I want people to be honest and say #1 it's because she's beautiful and in a niche form of entertainment geared toward looks first and everything else second, I don't see any real upside to Liv beyond visual. Not that it's a bad thing, plenty of men have been pushed based solely on looks and became legends (Warrior).

I'll admit her looks were my initial attraction but that's the initial reason I like most wrestlers whether they look sexy or badass or whatever. The Network doc they put out about her awhile back really sold me on her even more. Just seemed like there was potential there, then the doc sold me on her as a person, and people like rallying behind someone and following their journey so you kind of pick your people that you think have that something and tie yourself to them. Liv was one of those types for me, a rookie/underdog that you want to see grow and succeed.

Reasons I like Liv (Yes, she's pretty, but if that's all I saw in her then I wouldn't be as interested):

    - The little things: When Liv was in the Riott Squad, she would do lots of little things that added to the match. Whether it was her mannerisms, trash talking, or the way she sold a move, Liv was always doing something that caught me attention.

    - Her personality: She's got a certain charm that helps her stand out. Feels like she's just being herself and not playing a character.

    - Desire to improve: She's grown leaps and bounds in the ring. Her match with Becky proved that. Too many women have held titles who haven't improved one bit in the ring or even on the mic. Tamina can claim to have held a title, but Liv still has yet to achieve that honor.

    - Relatable: She's a Jersey girl. My Father was from New Jersey and I spent allot of time there when I was growing up (not that's it's anything to brag about). She also reminds me of girls I used to be friends with so I want to root for her.

I think they've done a nice job to freshen things up for RK-Bro but they're missing a step now in terms of building for the eventual split. Riddle ends up getting his ass beaten a lot. Case in point: he lost to f'n Otis. Riddle has to take the heat in a lot of the tag matches or just gets wrecked at the end of singles matches and that ultimately doesn't help with making him look like he's on the level with Orton when they do split. That can be fixed in the build to the actual feud but it's a bit of a misstep right now.

Thought Bianca and Doudrop had a good match. Clean finish? Alright! Of course, Doudrop tries to get her heat back by jumping Bianca after the match, thus keeping this going and really nullifying the match.

Raw is getting 2.0'ed a little bit, with guys like Bálor and Styles not close to pictures they should be in and being utilized to enhance young talent (Theory and Omos, respectively). That's a choice. Even with a distraction by Theory, it is absolutely wild to see Bálor lose to DOLPH ZIGGLER.

Rhea lost in less than a minute to the red-hot Zelina, with more distractions. Yikes.

The McMahon/Theory segments are getting worse and that's entirely due to the fact that McMahon is coming off extremely nonsensical when he's on TV.

Good pop for Gable Steveson being announced to the crowd, and the crowd certainly liked the interaction where Lashley dapped Steveson up before Lashley's match with Owens. The night seemed to be about heating up Lashley in a hurry. As was the theme of the night, there were distractions and involvement of others across the board through Lashley's matches (thought that door was opened via the No-DQ stipulations). Still don't think it was ideal to have E ultimately eat a pin by Lashley. Just make a triple threat where Lashley beats Rollins and Owens to earn the spot. Meh.

Vince? At least Elias is safe from the erase for now *cough*@Mazer*cough

At least the Miz/Maryse segment was entertaining. Maryse falling out with Miz at the end possibly a swerve so she screws Edge at D1. Beth eventually for the save and we have Mania mixed tag 2.0 lol.
