Decent amount of public votes in the final so far, but I still have nothing from the judges. Rather than tag/chase them again though, if it stays this way by Monday regardless of whether they find the time to vote or not then we'll go on the public vote to decide the winner.
However as far as the 3rd place play-off goes, @Donald has not yet posted today. I've given him plenty times but he needs to post again by Monday at the absolutely latest or I'm giving it to kdestiny. I know there's been complications in both ties and given extensions as much as I could due to the circumstances but we need to get on now.
As much as I'd be delighted if the voting ceased right now, it would be cool to get the judges verdicts for completion and all that.
They still have some time til Monday to do so, but I'm not waiting past that for the sake of completion. Deadlines are there for a reason, if we just started extending them again and again then what's the point of even setting them in the first place? I made a couple of exceptions and granted because of circumstances but really don't like doing that too much,

Sorry if I took so long. Work's been kinda busy, especially working from home.
I'm finding it to be a weird challenge working from home. It feels like I'm busier than normal which couldn't be further from the truth from a numbers perspective. But just not being in the office where I've been for 5 years....
Funny thing is, the first 6 years I worked for my company it was out of a house. There were 2 other people there with me so that was nice but it was also under different circumstances. I feel like being forced into a situation, even working from home, that disrupts the daily routine is instrumental in driving 1st world people into madness.
I miss the office environment, but I am saving money on gas, and for some reason the days are flying by working from home.
I'm also sure my blood pressure level has gone down because I'm not yelling at people driving like idiots everyday.
I'm not looking forward to the prospect of working from home when I eventually return to work. I don't drive or have a car so woukdn't be saving money. Sure the office environment in customer service could be stressful but at least there were things there to keep me focused. Checking availability on the call board before taking calls (this tells us how many advisors are available to take calls and if calls are queuing). Also there are people around to ask if I need help. Thirdly, I miss the general office cameraderie. I would have none of that working from home. My home is my haven from the world of work too so I feel it would take some time to adjust doing all that with a laptop and a mobile from home like my colleagues are doing now.

Its a very weird dynamic right now. I actually prefer working at the office. I have a good setup here. I can handle some things face to face, etc.
I work at a regional headquarters. Usually we have about 110 or so people in this building. Its 25 now. Still a trip to look at the cube city and see nobody out there.
I miss the people in the office. Our company only has 15 people and the current climate has hit us hard. We've had to put 4 on furlough and scramble to try and find new business. Turnover is down a third year on year. We'll get there I'm sure but it's pretty stressful. And doing a full day at home with the kids is a pipedream.
We have privileged wee life though so I'm not complaining, could be a lot worse off

Very unlucky Nash, but you also had a great run and I believe this is the furthest you have ever gotten. If you had gotten first choice in the final then the result may have been different. You shoukd both be very proud.
I know we've still got the 3rd place play off which should be settled then voted on over the next couple of days, but wanted to say thank you to everyone for making this work even if we had minor glitches and a global pandemic to contend with! Thank you to all who signed up and competed, the standard was really high this year. Thank you to the judges Psycho, virm and Jarrod for their valuable input. I know you're just joking, but actually, the reason for the title is that Square(the company that made the game) was going out of business, and this was their last ditch effort to pull out of the hole. They didn't think it'd work, but it ended up being a hit and saving the company.
Indeed, although it is now Square Enid now Donald as funnily enough later Square did start losing money and merged with the company called Enix to become what is now known as Square Enix though Enix are technically the surviving company.

Welcome to the Wilfred’s Closing Ceremony live from the Rajah Performance Centre which I’ve just come up with today as I have too much time on my hands! Not a big crowd today due to Covid but rest assured they are going mild!

You’re welcome! Couldn’t have done it without you and your questions were great too. Shame COVID ruined our target of getting this done in March.
Might tinker with the format of the voting and maybe just do judges only next time. Will discuss nearer the time.
Might even do a player/coach role and challenge our current champion! Least the title stays in Scotland!
Also hope to get @Mikey_Jones, @Psycho666Soldier and @BGMaverick back in the field next year too though would settle for judging input too next year if they prefer that.
Everyone did a wonderful job in this. Some stellar performances. Great work to Nash Diesel for knocking this tournament out of the park most of the way. Props to kdestiny for bouncing back from a first round elimination and making it to the bronze medal. Strong performance throughout, and despite me voting otherwise, you deserved the spot. Congrats to Donald for consistently getting stronger in these debates and slowly making his mark bigger and bigger.
And of course, major kudos to Rusty Shackleford for having a stellar debut. You really came through and shook the foundation of this tournament. Many of your debates were the best of each round, and I feel you forced your opponents to debate on a higher level whether they were ready to or not. And that finale was a hell of a showdown between you and Nash.
Much love to Nosh and Mazer for putting this together and holding it down. Next year, it might be time to dust off the debate podium. I still have a championship trophy that has eluded me.

Thanks again for your kind words and all that. It was a real thrill taking part in something I've read year after year.
I suppose I should confess that I've worked in Marketing for the best part of 15 years, so it's my day job to try and convince people of things I don't necessarily believe myself! That said, my knowledge of wrestling is insignificant compared to practically everyone on here so each match felt like an uphill battle.
Not that anyone needs my advice or anything but my main tip for stuff like this is to debate the question rather than your choice. I'm not even sure if that makes sense, I've had a lot to drink tonight. My first round pick (Braun) for example I didn't really believe in, but it made for the cleanest argument.

I now see where you get it from and it makes perfect sense. Having textbook knowledge helps but is not really the key. The key or researching just enough and paying attention to the question to debate it is the answer. Your style reminds me of one of our earlier champions Chris. He very nearly smashed it in his debut but stormed it the second try.
For my end I've worked in customer service for nearly 15 years and a lot of that is trying to defend the company's position and making them look good no matter what shit they've done. It helps.
I would totally be your partner but already have one and we have titles to defend. Good luck in your search.
