I was looking at the rest of the card so far and probably be a decent show. There are some good workers. I don't think that main event is going to be that great but I could be wrong.
I just love going and seeing wrestling at the Chase now that they NWA seems to be doing their anniversary shows here. But Undertaker is coming to town so going to see him instead this go round. Now if they do some kind of convention or meet and greets during the weekend I may check out prices for that depending who is in town. I think they talked about doing that.

So my favorite local wrestler and promoter Dan the Dad tweeted out that the NWA reached out to him and asked if his promotion would help promote the shows this weekend. He linked to a recent video from Fox News where Tyrus was on a pronoun rant and said towards the end if his kids came home and said their pronouns were this or that he would say your pronouns are an ass whooping or something to that extent. Needless to say Dan the Dad said his you will not see his promotions name anywhere near that company.
Fuck Tyrus. Good on Dan.

NWA has some decent talent. EC3, Chris Adonis, Kamille, Aron Stevens(who has switched to manager role though), and a few others. Do they have a lot of not so great talent. Sure. But what company doesn't at this point.

I was listening to Rene Dupree's youtube show the other day and one of his co-hosts said that he heard that NWA wasn't actually going to be on CW but the CW app. So maybe that's still going to happen but now with the announcement that NXT is going to CW in October 2024...plus the news going around that the cocaine segment-which keep in mind was on ppv but still-killed the deal altogether.
I remember Smackdown used to air on the CW affiliate here in Des Moines on Sundays at 11pm. This was back in 2005ish until they moved to SyFy it was so fucked up. I missed a bunch of Smackdown over the years.
Well at first they were going to be on tv and then the "reports" were just going to move them to the app after the ppv segment but I am guessing with NXT going to CW that the deal is dead.
I wonder if they would run both? ESPN for example, you can watch UFC and PFL, two MMA organizations that are not owned by the other. The statement WWE released talked about CW expanding their live sports. But honestly, I don't think WWE would be like yeah have us both on their fuck it lol. Idk if I should even say WWE, is it them or is it TKO?

So when I heard that NWA wasn’t getting their show on the CW, I thought that was a major bummer. Not that I’m really invested in NWA these days because the product nose dived a long time ago… but I do want it to succeed. But then when I heard it was going to stream on the CW platform I thought ok that’s not hat bad. But now I’m seeing it’s a reality show about Billy Corgan being a rock star and owning a wrestling promotion… not a wrestling show. So now NWA is just a background thing on a reality show in 2024. That’s some stinky ass right there.
NWA Power which is their weekly show is on the CW app/streaming service is a wrestling show. The reality show is a different show from that with a different name.
Ok, that's a relief then.
