I’d go with this yes, sounds spot on.

I think it will be Archer / Cody in the finals since Archer came in wanting to face Cody but Cody said he had to work up the ladder. Also glad Brodie Lee is in AEW now but the mocking of Vince is boring in my opinion. I was cool with the Cody smashing of the HHH throne because of NXT VS AEW but it’s not WWE VS AEW. It just amateur to me. When they just concentrate on their own stuff they do a good job and are entertaining. Darby Allen I wasn’t feeling at all when he first came onto the scene and his character has completely won me over. How they were handling their rumble at double or nothing and then the women’s one later was a awesome concept as well. In my opinion. Not sold on Hardy yet because I liked AEW being more reality based and I thought Impact was a better fit for the broken one but it’s good seeing him with the creative freedom regardless. Quarantine rant over.

For those who didn't know, because its the internet and nobody can keep a secret a secret - AEW's Doomsday Bunker/their "undisclosed location", is in fact a training gym owned by QT Marshall, somewhere in the wilds of Georgia.

I love how they wanted to keep the location a secret so fans wouldn't show up to the tapings, but every site revealed it. From what I understand, they taped a months worth of shows, so AEW will have plenty of content for a while. If they do have to go back to the gym next month, they're going to have to be extra careful and not announce it until they're finished.

I know it seems weird to post an MLW episode in here. But its relevant. Mance Warner beats MJF in a "Loser Leaves MLW" Empty Arena Match. So yeah, sure looks like MJF is going full-time on AEW and won't be making anymore shots for MLW.

Just saw a guy on Matts twitter claim WWE copied the boneyard match from AEW.

Of all the hot takes from AEW uber marks that may be the most ridiculous yet.

Matt has been there 2 weeks, They don't own the rights to his previous body of work.

    Morons.

Awwww, here it goes.... Who's ready for another hot night of wrestling action? WWE just held their explosive two-night "Too Big For One Night", Empty High School Gym-A-Mania and it was a banger. But who does "Explosive" better than AEW, live on TNT? Light the fuse, and get ready to duck and cover. Live, from Parts Unknown aka The Best Little Whorehouse Not in Texas, its time once again for AEW....

    - And we're live from AEW's doomsday bunker once again. Broadcasting live from the badlands of Parts Unknown... Broadcasting using over-the-air, military hardware...

    - We'll see...

    - Cody Rhodes take on "The Chairman" Shawn Spears - In A First-Round Tournament Match For The TNT Championship!

    - Hikaru Shida takes on "The Dentist" Dr. Britt Baker DMD in a match pitting two of AEW's highest ranked women against each other. And that's the "tooth". (Oops, I left the gas on.)

    - Kenny "The Omega Man" Omega and Michael Knock-It-Da-Fuck-Off aka The Baby Oil Cunt take On The Ambiguously Gay Best Friends in exciting tag-team action.

    - Brodie Lee is in singles action.

    - Chris Jericho promises to lend his dulcet tones to the entire show, joining the usual crew for a night of insightful (and incisive) commentary.

    The Doctor is out!

That was pretty good stuff. Very fortunate juice there. Britt Baker looked all kinds of dangerous and crazy with the bloody nose and teeth and that terrifying look on her face.

People say AEW takes a lot of cues from WCW.

Now they're doing the feud over who gets "Harlem Heat", only its "The Best Friends".

If anything, these four should be wrestling to not be called that.

Chris Jericho's doing commentary like someone has a gun to his family just off-screen, he sounds so fucking fake.

Meanwhile, Jim Cornette and wrestling's other old men are having an aneurysm at how stupid this lousy match is.

Go the fuck home and end this mess.

Matt's better when he gets to ramble in a pre-taped promo. He shouldn't be doing in-ring back-and-forths with anybody.

    Good stuff.

That was a pretty fun show. Even though everything on it felt pretty meaningless except the main event. We're in full-on Corona-booking now. So I guess we can expect some filler shows. They probably don't want to blow too much off or book too much of anything important without fans there to see it. Its maintenance booking for right now.

Cody/Spears have some real chemistry. Probably helps that they're buddies in real life.

Jericho was as entertaining as I thought he would be. There were a few moments where his mouth was moving faster than his brain but he was able to recover nicely.

Baker was losing a ton of blood from her nose. Good grief. That was a pretty engaging match. It feels like AEW has gotten a little better with their women's division, from a quality standpoint, over the last few weeks. It's not heavy exposure for that division, but it's certainly watchable...which seems like a notable improvement.

The video for Moxley/Hager seemed like it had a poor man's HBO Sports vibe, but I give them credit for presenting things in a different way and it was good in the sense of building anticipation for the match. I don't have a lot of optimism towards the match actually being good but we'll see.

I didn't get the fact that Cody was so quick to get to the finish after the nice table spot, then Spears kicked out of back-to-back finishers. The match was definitely on the long side but it was a decent enough bout. Feels like it's been quite a while since a figure four pin was actually used.

If they don't book Jericho versus Pineapple Pete, they're dropping the ball.

Who did the voice over for the Mox/Hager video packages? That definitely wasn't Tony, JR, or The Masked Jackass.

That Britt Baker/Shida match was going fine. But damn, that was some fortunate juice. Really added to the drama. Bitch looked like a total horror movie psycho killer by the end. And then the interview she gave with the dried blood all over her face. Yeah... Britt was a badass.

    My God, yes.

We’re talking peak Monday Night Wars numbers at 3 or 4 million weekly. Every week.

They've got to do Jericho vs Vanguard One first! Pineapple Pete interferes and we get that next.

Jericho is miles away the best on the mic in AEW and hopefully we get more stints of him on commentary.

Britt/Shuda was great and the blood just added to it.

Spears/Cody was fine but Spears kicking out of a double Cross Rhodes then being pinned by a figure four? That's just weird and when was the last time anyone got pinned by a figure four?

It's not too difficult a task of being the best on the mic in a company full of 2nd tier talent.

I'm pretty sure it happened in the 80s or 90s via Flair...but it's obviously been a while.

Does Kenny Omega have to be in the longest match on every show? Like, is it in his contract or something.

Maybe I've imagined it, but all his matches seem to go super long and have more kicking out of finishers than most AEW matches, which is already a lot.

And yes, Shawn fucking Spears of all people, who hasn't featured in weeks, kicking out of a double Cross Rhodes was indeed super dumb.

Kicking out of not one but two finishers from the most over face in the company yet gets pinned by a submission which has not happened in 20-30 years? Plus the fact the dude is solid but nothing special?

It's like AEW try too hard to be different and alernative. Sometimes needlesdly long matches, spotfest matches, Marko Stunt lasting 10 minutes + in matches and everything to say they're not WWE. Too much spots and not enough psychology.

Don't get me wrong, there is stuff I like about it (Jericho being the number one reason being funny as fuck, the tag matches) but sometimes it's too OTT,p.

I think they're trying to make Shawn Spears seem relevant because Killer Kross is gonna debut soon and they look very similar.

I'm guessing their perspective and placement of the match added to the idea of the finish in regards to Spears. I doubt he would have kicked out of two finishers if this was a match in the middle of the first or second hour, but it may make sense for the first match of the night, the first of the second hour, or the actual main event.

Srill though, it's against Cody in a TV match and he lost in a fashion against a move rhat nearly everyone manages to reverse or get to the ropes. Really surviving double finishers like that should be saved for PPV and a hot opponent. Spears is meh.

I originally said it was dumb the night it happened, so I'm just looking from the other perspective. They tried something different due to the match being the main event and a tournament match. It wasn't executed well, but I see the thought process.

Just as long as they do Jericho vs Vanguard One in the ring at some point. Jericho trashtalking and fighting a drone he coukd definitely make work.

Cody vs. Shawn Spears with Spears kicking out of two of Cody's finishers is just an example of Cody being too nice. Since he and Spears are buddies, Cody letting Shawn kick out of his move doesn't feel like too big of a deal, but it buries the next guy on the totem pole who gets planted and beat by one.

Hell, if Shawn Spears kicked out of two, it should take 17 to beat Archer. And a machine gun.

Okay, it might be Spring Cleaning time in the WWE. They've "Future Endeavored" more wrestlers than AEW can fit into their fallout bunker. But that doesn't matter. Not one lick. Indeed, its time, once again to light the match, strike the catch, prick her snatch, and get ready for another night of live - and baby this is LIVIN' - wrestling action - Its time, once again, for AEW....

    - Live from a little bomb shelter in "Parts Unknown", we'll see...

    - "The Murderhawk" Lance Archer vs. Colt ".45" Cabana in a First Round Match For the New TNT Championship

    - And in our main event...

    - AEW World Champion Jon "Doesn't Have A Pox" Moxley defends his World Title against Bellator MMA standout, the seemingly impregnable and unstoppable - Jake "Has Some Real Swagger" Hager - In An Empty Arena Match

    - And oddly enough, that's all that's previewed on AEW's site. So unless those two matches go a combined two hours, you can probably expect more.

    I don't know.

Fell asleep during the underneath junk. Did I miss anything cool?

Awake in time to see Mox/Hager Empty Arena.

So far, AEW is doing this better than WWE. The company known for cinematic bullshit is shooting and presenting this one pretty straight. I dig it.

Nice of JR to put over Mox’s knees, even though they were just clearly not connecting.

    I've enjoyed this match.

Hager as a MMA monster is better than swagger was imo.

Not having a match that can end anywhere really made them stick more to the ring. Where it felt more like two guys trying to cripple each other with holds, instead of trying to find props to fuck with and tall things to jump off of.

That was the 2020 equivalent of Funk/Lawler.

Isn’t a empty arena match pretty stupid at this point of basically a month of mostly or fully empty arenas? Same with Gargano/Ciampa on NXT last week. I’m sure that match was supposed to be the end of that feud, and would have made sense if everything was normal, but it was just a DIFFERENT empty arena than Full Sail.

It was empty because the other wrestlers weren’t even there. That’s the difference.

I'm taping the replay. I liked what Mox was trying to do, but Hager didn't seem all too receptive to it. I could see the match getting better as it kicked into second gear, but I had to see NXT tonight ( and maybe from now on).

The worst thing for their TV ratings WWE ever did was decide to add NXT to the Network the same week it airs on TV. I haven't watched a live TV NXT since Dynamite started. I just go back and binge watch them without commercials on the Network on the weekend.

Especially since the C-Virus lockdown, I've got more free time on the weekends and not much else to fill it with, besides Saturday night garbage food night and wrestling. Its like I'm 14 again.

Jericho still throwing fastballs from the commentary table. He's fantastic.

I don't think I liked the fact the opening match was as long as it was but I'm digging what they're doing with Archer. His transition from NJPW is working well and he's got the momentum he built up there carrying over to AEW.

Did Britt wrestle immediately after getting her nose busted up or were the matches taped out of order? Either way, Britt has really come a long way since she debuted on AEW. Good for her.

I think The Bubbly Bunch was kind of hot and cold in terms of comedy. Jericho taking Pineapple Pete to task once again was welcomed.

Sabian/Taylor was actually a really good match.

Seems like in retrospect, they tried to hotshot a match that really had no sizzle when it came to actual execution of Moxley and Hager. I appreciate the fact they tried to make it different with the promo videos last week and then the predictions this week, but the match just didn't work for me. The name of the company doesn't matter, you probably shouldn't do slow and long matches in an empty arena. Out of everyone we saw in non-traditional matches over the last 10 days, Hager is likely near the bottom of the list in terms of interest/engagement. We've seen the likes of Michael Cole and Mauro Ranallo call matches on their own in WWE. JR probably does not need to be in that category. I think this period is also shining a light on the fact that AEW has a lot of good commentators (even if they're filling in) and JR is falling further down the list.

Unrelated to everything but still relevant: Penelope Ford. Sheesh.

Except for the fact that Heyman was never a wrestler, doesn't make any of his men look average sized by being 6'5 with an athlete's frame, and that Archer has more talent than Axel ever had and he already has more charisma and more big match experience than Axel will ever live to get.

Aww yeah, its time, its time once again for everybody to climb aboard the weekly Wednesday night hype train. Now departing Covid Station, next stop - The wild and untamed lands of Parts Unknown. The Destination - AEW's war bunker, their fallout shelter, their home away from home - As its time to get ready, light the wick, stick it, brick it, prick it, collate it or fellate it - The candle burns on both ends, but its not a candle, its a stick of AEW...

    - And live from the Best Little Fallout Shelter In Parts Unknown, we'll see a hot night of exciting wrestling action. Keep your (social) distance, because things are gonna get nuts as...

    - Dustin "Not Gold, Just Golden" Rhodes takes on Kip "Superbad" Sabian - In a TNT Championship Tournament First Round Match - Dustin promises to retire if he can't polish off Sabian. Will we see Dustin's ignominious end, in front of an audience of none tonight?

    - In tonight's other exciting TNT Championship Tournament Match - Darby "Hot Topic Cashier By Day" Allin takes on Sammy "Not Gay, They Just Say My Name That Way" Guevara.

    - Orange "Still Better Than The Purple Stuff" Cassidy vs. Jimmy "Immune To Covid-19 Because Of His Many Other Infectious Diseases" Havoc - In A Match That Many Wards Of The State, Mental Patients, Lobotomy Enthusiasts, And Other Assorted Delinquents, Are Calling A "Dream Match".

    - Fresh off of killing comedy and the concept of laughter for everyone watching last week, Kenny "This Is Bad Comedy" Omega will be in action. Hopefully he'll leave the Baby Oil Cunt home this time.

    - Your Exalted One. The Grand High Poohba of The Order of The Loyal Water Buffaloes, the guy who can convince any grocery store to take an expired coupon - The Dark Order's Leader - Brodie Lee will be in action.

    - "The Wardog" Wardlow will be in action.

    - That's it. So rip it and zip it and get ready for some action. Oh yeah!

Dustin Rhodes saying Kip is the real deal makes me laugh a little, lol. I kinda hope Dustin stays for a while. The dude can still put on a good match

I expect Lance to end Dustin. Great build for this match and gives some heat in a Tournament for a glorified TV Title.

I hope he ends him like Drago ended Balboa.
Archer/Rhodes could be the great Lashley/Finlay of our day.

Allin/Guevara have fantastic chemistry. I love how they have had both of their matches with super hot starts. It's a shame one of them had to lose as it's unlikely neither are going to be in the Finals but this was a good showing for them and it's not hard to imagine that these two will be battling each other for the big championship further down the road.

Seems like Omega was more interested in showing that he can produce a good match in any scenario rather than just get a simple squash. Not sure if this was actually productive for him.

Cassidy match seemed weird in comparison to what we've actually seen for him for wrestling in AEW (mainly the PAC match).

Did I miss something in terms of the stakes for Rhodes/Sabian in the sense that the stip wasn't announced on TV last week? It seemed inflated for someone who really hasn't done anything of significance on Dynamite so that was a stretch. I guess that was their attempt to sizzle up an incredibly stale main event setup. If that were the case, they should have just done Allin/Guevara for the main event.

Should have switched up the brackets and had Sammy Guevara/Dustin Rhodes - At least Guevara's been getting a solid push as an Inner Circle guy. Sabian is just an underneath dork.

The old-timers of the wrestling world are going to hate it, for the lack of logic behind it, but man - Omega really carried that jobber through to a good match tonight. Very pleasantly surprised.

Guevara/Allin have amazing chemistry. Loved the lack of a finishing move ending the match.

Ha, nice Bray Wyatt reference in the Dark Order vignette. Dude sending the e-mail, said "I had the whole world in my hands" but they obfuscated part of the phrase.

Show was enjoyable enough. I want Jericho and Tony on commentary forever. Jericho's vendetta against "Pineapple Pete" has be rolling.

Sammy/Darby was a blast once again. I liked the call back to their Revolution match. That splash onto the ladder was absolutely disgusting. Good win for Darby but Sammy has come a long way since his debut.

Kenny's match was far too competitive obviously but I guess that's Omega's thing.

The Orange Cassidy/Jimmy Havoc match was a little odd with Havoc having so much offence. Havoc biting Cassidy's hands and putting them into his pockets was great though.

Wardlow looked impressive. Jericho did a good job selling it.

Dark Order vignette was nice. The backstory for Preston Vance (favourite for the Heisman trophy, aspring model, career ended through injury) is a good one. Brodie's squash was solid with that brutal finish but I'm not really a fan of his ring gear. Brodie/Stunt could be a lot of fun though.

Loved the Bubbly Bunch with Jericho getting pissed off and throwing the hand sanitiser at the phone

Main was good with the right man getting the win.

Watching Guevara/Allin is starting to feel like those midcard rock/HHH matches but with two high energy guys. I'd love for both of them to bulk up as time goes on and become one of those career long fueds.

I guess WWE's fire talent , said talent puts up posts and podcasts with AEW talent, may have backfired. Also teasing Dream/Finn match only to be turned to a Teddy Long tag team match with Russo booking may have had something to do with it too. Anyway, AEW has been a better product to watch since this nightmare started, so they should get rewarded.

Agreed, good point. I’m hoping it becomes this. They do click together although the match on Wednesday was probably their worst one yet.

God they need to book Jericho vs Pineapple Pete soon. I’d actually have Pete get the first win either due to shenanigans or Jericho not taking him seriously then getting rolled up just to see his tantrum.

His constant making fun of Angels’s name was just a delight. Flashes of WCW and early WWF Jericho.

If AEW could let go of the WWE's cock for one show I'd love it even more.

    Jericho on commentary was awesome.

Luke Harper....Trim the beard and shut the fuck up about the WWE my guy. One of the only wrestlers I know who is a fan of the Skins and he's just letting me down every episode. And it's funny because my best friend, 2 minutes into that segment goes "I like him more doing this than what he was in WWE" He likes the little shots he takes at the WWE but he did agree that it's very strange coming from a guy who was injured most of his run.....So you can't really knock Vince for your run not being what you thought when you're not there. Probably doesn't help this guy is the epitome of glass half empty. Listen to any interview he's ever done, the guy hates himself more than anything.

I'm interested to see who will win the TNT tournament. I have a feeling it'll be Dustin v. Cody in the finals and then Dustin gets the W.

Man, if Britt Baker develops some really solid ring work, she can be one of the best in the world. She plays that bitchy/snobby heel role well.
