"Snap-Dragon Suplex" has to be the fruitiest name for a a so-called "power" move I've ever heard.

That black chick in the blue cruise wear in the front row looks like something out of a 60's Blacksploitation movie.

She's Foxxxy Cleopatra and she's really digging this match, jive turkeys.

man they sure do go to picture and picture right when they're about to hit the biggest spots in the match. that top rope DDT shouldn't have been during a break.

That spot where one guy tackles somebody into breaking up a pin has become one of the more overused spots in modern day tag-team wrestling.

They need better producers. Somebody in the truck somewhere to give the ref instructions and have the wrestlers slow it down during the picture-in-picture and turn up the gas when they come back to full screen.

AEW can do all the lusty voiced female promos they want, they won't convince me that AEW Revolution is a good name.

Wait... is this the tampon cunt?

Good God, AEW's women's division is the poverty row of womens wrestling.

9 out of 10 Wrestling Dentists agree... its not sanitary to have some dumb cunt shove a used tampon in your mouth.

It was bad enough when Priscilla Kelly was polluting MLW's Women's Division.

Now I have to watch her on a show I actually make a point to watch.

Tampon Bitch just threw about three clotheslines in slow motion to set up for that slingblade from Britt.

I've seen dead bodies move toward an open plot in a cemetery with more speed.

If someone doesn't claim Marko Stunt by the time the cruise ship docks again, he becomes property of the cruise company.

I think Frank Thomas might have something to say about that.

So did they really just pull the plug in the middle of Britt Baker's promo and cut to commercial? Jesus, it's a taped show. Poor gal.

They literally did the eye injury angle last week just so Moxley could wear an eye patch on the ship, didn't they?

they should make announcements before each show asking the audience not to say 'fuck' in a chant if they have to cut out the audio like this every time

You think by now they'd figure out how to split the audience mics and the announcers so the desk audio wouldn't have to drop when they have to censor the audience profanity.

I wasn't crazy hyped for this match, given that they've already wrestled once in that time limit draw. But this injured eye gimmick is giving this match some more dimensions.

Good episode and some good matches. The women's divison continues to be the downside for AEW. I didn't know Britt Baker's promo skills were that bad.

The show was bookended with two really entertaining matches. That seem to be something that never fails for Dynamite.

Brandi having her passport stolen was a godsend for Dynamite since we were spared from the Nightmare Collective for one week. There was give and take, though, because the Britt stuff had some very rough moments. She may be good eventually in the facets required to be a performer on a nationally televised wrestling show but she ain't close to that yet.

I heard about the docking issues during PAC and Moxley and how the crowd wasn't fond of that so I was curious to hear that was going to come across on TV. Seemed awkward, for sure, but I doubt there's much you can do when a wrestling audience is annoyed with outside factors that are messing with their vibe. It didn't help that the chants created super choppy commentary at times.

Riho is the only promising aspect of the entire women’s division because she’s at least charismatic and over, and she’s never on

good episode. was entertained throughout. I liked the opener and main event. I also like the Adam page heel tease.

AEW was a damn good tag division with Young Bucks, SCU, Private Party, Butcher/Blade, Lucha Bros, Jurassic Express, Best Friends, Santana/Ortiz etc. It's very solid all around. Their women's division is pretty horrible. It's opposite of the WWE really with a below avg tag and above avg women's division.

Just saw a few clips. This MJF guy just seems like he's too much of a douchebag that he's going to become annoying fairly quickly. Cody looked liked a million bucks though. When you're going on and on about "You can't touch me", was just expecting to see someone come out and attack him for Cody Glad to see my expectations were met. Woman's match with Britt Baker looked a bit sloppy to me. Haven't seen Jericho wrestle since...the Greatest Royal Rumble I think it was, still moves pretty well for his age.

I'm surprised AEW won this week considering it was a taped show. I thought NXT would have won for sure.

I really think AEW's undoing is going to be it's over spending and its assumption that this will be a permanent thing. Things don't feel like they're progressing at all... they've just kind of sat in the same place as when they debuted. It's the same thing ever week, 2+2 is 4... 2+2 is 4... 2+2 is 4... 2+2 is 4... 2+2 is 4.

NXT is taking us somwhere. I don't feel like AEW is going anywhere. If they keep this up, they're going to blow through their budget and the legs are going to fall out.

NXT is taking us somwhere. I don't feel like AEW is going anywhere. If they keep this up, they're going to blow through their budget and the legs are going to fall out.

How is it not taking us anywhere? They're building storylines. They're intertwining and the characters are reacting. Matches have had consequences and ramifications. The first title change happened this week surrounding an intriguing storyline that could go a multitude of ways. And that's not even talking about what's going on with Cody/MJF or Mox/Jericho.

Not everything is a hit, and if it's not been your cup of tea, that's cool, but saying that it's not going anywhere story-wise isn't true.

Honestly, if either show could have wound up with the criticism that it "doesn't have stories that go anywhere", it could have been NXT.

But the rise of Keith Lee, the heel turn of Finn Balor, even Dakota Kai/Tegan Nox, and the big push for Rhea Ripley - all really helped to flesh out that show's story and world.

AEW feels like it "isn't going anywhere" because of all the stupid, WrestleCrap they load their undercard up with every week. Its hard to get invested in The Dork Odor, Joey Nutella, and the shitty women's division. But the top-line stuff with Cody, Jericho, Omega, Page, Inner Circle, Moxley - that's all damn good stuff.

NXT's Women's division and their sort of meat and potatoes midcard and underneath guys are better than almost anything AEW has, by a damn country mile. The top of the card in NXT vs the top of the card in AEW - That's a damn tough fight.

    I'm rambling.

Point is, AEW doesn't feel like its going anywhere because a lot of what they're putting on TV is so stupid and brain dead you hardly even notice, or care, when its actually going.

For fuck's sake they've had a show for barely 4 months and we're already trying to pinpoint why it won't work.........PATIENCE. The ADD fans in pro wrestling need weeded out but sadly it's the world we live in.

    - - - Updated - - -

And yep I'll be that mark who says, until one of us have the credentials to speak on why a wrestling promotion won't work then we need to just sit back and enjoy the ride. TNA's been around 20 years doing dumb shit. WWE has been around 70 years doing even dumber shit. Enough of this bullshit.

WWE has been doing anything but dumb shit. Why do you think they're number 1? TNA barely blips on the map anymore. At least AEW is blipping.

I will say...if there was a week to suggest the main theory is possibly valid, it seems like it's this upcoming week's slate. I don't have a clue with Darby and Private Party are doing a trios match with Jericho, Santana, and Ortiz. Or why Cody and Sabian are having a match lol. Those do seem a bit random. As I mentioned after Wednesday's episode, they start and each episode with really good matches. The middle portion kind of be hit or miss depending on what you like.

TNA, well Impact, have been going for almost 20 years. And for the same amount of time, literally since day one people have been trying to predict when they'll die. Being #1 doesn't mean you haven't put out dumb shit. I would say that they just have the luxury of lasting and being a staple of pop culture. The brand alone has carried them for almost 30 years.

They deserve to be #1 but again, just look at our boy Braun and tell me that having him win a tag-team title with a 10 year old ref's son wasn't arguably the dumbest fucking Mania booking decision in the history of Mania. I'd rather watch Michael Cole v. Jerry Lawler on repeat than that horseshit wtih my boy Braun and Nick.

You could say that about every wrestling company. Like on Raw, why was Matt Hardy wrestling Rowan? The problem is that you can't oversaturate a feud and without jobbers sometimes you just have matches that are "cold"

At least with AEW they do rankings, so you can just use that as a default. Ok, why are Cody and Sabian wrestling? Because wins matter and if you don't wrestle, you don't win, you don't matter. But that's just me.

Of course. I didn't really support the original theory (to be clear) but I was suggesting this was a week where it made sense because I don't really see a no-brainer main event out of those matches and they just feel there for the sake of advertising (which is good). As for the Raw example, that'd be random as hell to advertise so I'd be confused as hell as to why that would be marketed. But in reality, it was there to make a point where randomness is just there to fill time and get to where you're going (which was slowly advancing the mystery with the cage). On the surface, those two matches advertised for AEW feel more like filling time with the hint of the post-match stuff actually being the reason you're watching. Your secondary point about the rankings and etc makes total sense on the broader sense.

I also think sometimes those random match-ups are the beginning of some kind of feud to come. Private Party going deep with Santana and Ortiz to get some real heat on 'em, and a little callback to Darby/Jericho.

I do get what you're saying, but I think the original position is still blinded.

I'll be very surprised if Private Party and Santana/Ortiz are starting something significant. The former doesn't seem remotely near ready for anything of sustained substance. I guess you have to start somewhere.

Some people seem to think that we're building to an Elite vs. Inner Circle War Games style match with Page finally turning there. That'd be rather good imo. Dusty invented that match in the first place and knowing Cody and his focus on continuing his father's legacy it'd almost be more surprising if he wasn't already thinking about doing that kind of match.

Having listened to Jericho's podcasts with Darby, Stunt and Luchasaurus, I do like that they're pushing this "new generation" right off the bat. The likes of Jungle Boy, Darby, Sammy Guevara, Private Party and Kip Sabian all clearly have a lot of potential but they still have a way to go and I still want to see additions to the roster in the coming year.

I remember Jericho saying "Walter" was the worst name in pro wrestling. Then they debuted a guy named "Wardlow".

I mean, they have to "push" the roster. It can't just be the main 5 jerking each other off (Jericho, Mox, Omega, Bucks).

Yeah he said that, and then saw him work and forgot all about how shitty the same was lol. Honestly, Walter only works for Walter. I can't see Jericho making "Walter Jericho" work lol.

Really enjoyed the Rage at Sea part. 2. Felt more like Bash at the Beach than the previous week's show, lol. The story development with Page was handled nicely. I also liked how Pac lost because he thought Moxley wasn't at 100%. He was so focused on targeting the eye that he wasn't prepared for the dirty deeds out of desperation.

I thought Britt was supposed to be a Face, so the tone of the promo threw me off. Was this a Heel turn or has she always been so self absorbed? I don't think I've heard her talk before this.

AEW is making a profit. WCW didn't make a profit for 10 yrs. I don't see them blowing their budget anytime soon.

Even though NXT is the workrate show, from the comments I've read on various sites, fans think the show is too safe and predictable. They feel like anything can happen in AEW, which is why it's consistently won the Wed. Night War. There's also the aspect that the top stars in NXT are just going to be called up to the main roster so it's hard to get invested. And there are a few who hold it against WWE for putting NXT on USA to try and crush the competition, so they watch AEW out of principle.

Britt has been slowly dissolving into a heel persona over the last few weeks. It's been subtle but it's been there.

Where have you seen that AEW is making a profit? I've yet to see any financial reports so where are you getting that info?

The reason AEW wins the WNW is because NXT is on the Network the next day so you get that option as well. Trust me, if AEW had the same benefit of having their show on the next day without having to pay a stupid amount for cable tv, people would wait as well.

NXT is just as if not more unpredictable. You have not only Raw, Smackdown and NXT UK talent that could suddenly appear, but bigger names on the indies and international scene that could pop up.

AEW might seem more unpredictable simply because it's a new promotion so you don't really have that familiarity that you have with NXT considering NXT has been around for like 7 years.

Probably because she fucking sucks and nobody gives a shit about her so they have to switch it up so when fans are booing her boring ass it makes sense.

I honestly don't know what's more disturbing, her finisher or when Nyla Rose licks her hand before touching a girl.

AEW also doesn't do house shows which saves them a ton of money. Meanwhile, WWE is currently losing money on house shows.

As far as whether AEW is more unpredictable, I was just repeating what I've been reading, not necessarily what I believe. I don't watch NXT so it's a moot point for me. More people are watching AEW live and NXT later and I was making a case as to why.

When I think of unpredictability and AEW it's primarily in the sense that it's a brand new entity and has to show what framework it's going to work under. Yeah, they do stuff that's surprising or different but the nuts and bolts of the shock is that it has to establish its purpose. They're trying things each week to figure out what they're doing and what clicks. I think they've done a better job since the first few weeks of avoiding punching up at WWE and saying they'll be different and they do things different. Just do it and live with the results. Don't compare yourself because you're probably not fully sure where you are as a company lol. They're successful but they're nowhere near a finished product yet.

    Thanks for the link!

Yeah I mean if you're parakeeting something then I get it. You should watch NXT. Both shows have pro's and con's. But like I said, if AEW had a "network" like WWE, I will say that less people would watch AEW live and we'd see a real war. Who's show is worth watching later.....It's what happened to us in the 90's with Nitro and Raw. Which show are you taping, which show are you watching live?

FWIW, if you have a cable subscription, you can go to TNT's website and watch full episodes of Dynamite. I'm not sure how fast the turnaround time is, but you can do that. Not all of the episodes are there, so episodes drop off the available list for viewing at a certain point.

I think it’s either 8 or 10 episodes they keep backlogged on Verizon’s OnDemand. I picked up the show immediately after the ppv, and that’s already off the menu.

I think I’ve worked out why people think AEW is unpredictable, I’ve watched it a fair few times now and it reminds me of the WWF I watched years ago, characters, stories the product in general, not necessarily a bad thing, so I guess to anyone born in the 90s it does seem unpredictable.

And can anyone explain the buzz around the prat with the Burberry scarf? He looks like he’s been squashed, is competent in the ring, bland on the mic and his look is so dated, am I missing the point here? Is he supposed to be a form of throwback?

"Bland on the mic" is probably the last thing anyone has ever said about MJF so it could very well be a "missing the point" situation. I get that with some characters as well, everyone is on their nuts and I'm over here like, "WHY?" New Day is a prime example of talent it took damn near 2 years for me to understand the love they would get.

But yeah MJF kind of reminds me of like those James Spader "Pretty in Pink" type douchebags. Preppy dip shits who can't really back up the bullshit they're talking. IDK, I guess imagine if the Mean Street Posse was actually good lol.

My God they like near falls in AEW, don't they? It's often too much.

Still enjoying it, overall, but if the only way to get the PPVs in the UK is going to be on the FITE app, my interest may start to wane.

Imagine if the cruise ship had hit an iceberg? And like Moxley is trying to fight PAC but the ship is sinking? That would be exciting wouldn't it.

90% of every AEW match has at least 3 spots that would be GREAT finishes. But they kick out, and then end on a lamer spot.

I get that with Rollins, always my least favourite Shield member and I just never ‘got’ the love, I can appreciate the skill but meh.

I really don’t know what it is with MJF but I just really don’t get it, I don’t dislike him particularly but I just don’t get it, although I’m now going to have The Mean Street Posse stuck in my head when I watch him (which might help )

I might have ruined my love for the guy by having that comparison pop in my head lol.

I will say this about MJF....He's someone I think I would get sick of seeing wrestle and would rather see as a manager. Kind of like Enzo. I like Enzo wrestling, but he's just an ok wrestler. On the mic, that's where he brings it better than most. MJF might be that type of talent.

He strikes me as a Miz-like guy: good at talking, pretty bland but fundamentally sound in the ring. Seems like it'd take a fluke for either guy to get hurt because they really don't overextend themselves with high-risk moves.

Now I like Miz, very much, and I think he’s an underrated in ring guy, perhaps in time MJF will grow on me if he goes they way and I can see the similarities, but for me he hasn’t the acting chops that help Miz so much, all the little things that almost go unnoticed in the loud overblown matches and bombastic promos, the moments of quiet and the nods to camera that connect him to the audience.

Yeah he gets a lot of Miz comparisons, but Miz was pretty much solid in terms of entertainment from the start. I even remember him on Real World, well the previews where he'd be acting like a deranged wrestler, probably due to being drunk since that's 90% of what that show was about lol.

If MJF, or anyone really, can be a 10th of The Miz they have a positive future. At least I hope for this Pete Gas little brother lookin motherfucker.

He’s still young. 23 I believe. Took Miz a long time to get where he is. Will be interesting to see if he can grow in the role, or if entitled douche is all he has.

Let's get up, let's get hyped... We're docking, the bars are closed, the buffet is empty, and Chris Jericho's "Chris Jericho's Rock 'N' Rager At Sea Part 2- The Second Wave" is over.

And now we're landlocked for another exciting episode of AEW....

    In lovely Cleveland, Ohio!

(Somebody told me Cleveland rocks once, but I think they might have been lying.)

    - A Canadian guy who sings for a rock band and two L.A. gang-bangers take on two high-class party animals and the goth kid in your art class everybody made fun of -

The Inner Circle (Jericho, Santana, and Ortiz) vs. Private Party and Darby Allin

    - Why would a bunny hang out with a butcher anyway?

The Butcher And The Blade (w/The Bunny) vs. The Young Bucks

    - Super Bad vs. The Guy With A Super Dad

Kip Sabian vs. Cody "Don't Call Me" Rhodes

    - John Moxley addresses the AEW faithful after winning his Number 1 Contendership Match against PAC last week, in their great battle at sea.

My God, Jim Cornette's rant on his show about the Young Bucks dumping MJF in the pool last week was genius.

AEW finally gets some heavy heat for a heel and they dump it in the pool.

Apparently, Mox was caught on film doing karaoke with a bunch of marks without the eye patch on last week.

    Guys, I think he's faking.

    Moxley has next week off.

They're sending him to New York city to rescue the President.

Booking The Butcher And The Blade feels like Tony Khan's excuse to exercise his dominatrix fetish on live TV.

Allie looks like somebody's reluctant girlfriend who's not entirely comfortable with the shit he bought her from the S&M store.

She would've preferred a giftcard to Bed, Bath, And Beyond.

The Butcher looks like the villain from a silent movie. Like he should be out there somewhere tying some crying woman to some railroad tracks.

He's a modern day Big Billy Busick.
