I'm glad they put some of the talent out in the audience. Keeping the Faces and Heels on opposite sides and cheering for their peers is a no brainer. MJF and Spears placing bets on matches is a nice touch. Also smart that they positioned the hard camera directly across from the stage so the empty seats aren't as noticeable. Good presentation overall.
i love luchasaurus but so many of his strikes miss by a mile. i know he of all people has to be safe with strikes because a guy like that hitting you with force can fuck you up, but she some think more about which of his strikes he can safely do that DONT miss by a mile.

That was a great episode under the circumstances. Several debuts and they built up Blood and Guts pretty well. The parking lot match between the BFs and Lucha Bros. is promising as well.

If WWE got criticized for having Jerry Lawler out and about, then AEW deserves their share of the backlash for JR being present. Who knows when the Archer thing was filmed (though it was effective) and when they plan to do the lumberjack match but those don't exactly seem ideal for the current circumstances we are dealing with.
Feel for AEW for having to roll out two massive moments in an empty arena but I thought both reveals were entertaining. I'd say AEW did a better job of showing a wrestling product given the circumstances but they did have the benefit of more time to calibrate what they wanted to do.
It was a pretty cool swerve. Thinking the Exalted One was Matt Hardy, only to give us Luke Harper. Made the Matt reveal at the end even more special, though I'm not going to lie, I wish those two where still in WWE.
If The Exalted One had been Matt Hardy, The Elite would have had to have introduced a different 5th man. Because there's no way they'd have Brodie Lee debut as a babyface. It wouldn't have worked with the debuts switched.
And besides, the last time we saw Broken Matt was him getting his head caved in with two chairs. It figures they'd probably want to use him as a face, anyway. Its hard to boo somebody like that.
Also really surprising that Matt Hardy can show up in AEW so soon after leaving WWE. Didn't he have the typical 90-day no-compete clause?

Just a personal preference, I enjoy WWE more than AEW, and I was quite enjoying the Randy Orton and Matt Hardy stuff, felt they could have extended that if needed.
Finally, AEW once again blows WWE out of water when both given the ball creatively on (almost) equal ground. In all fairness, WWW did go first and showed AEW what not to do in an empty arena. Adding a few folks around the ring made a huge difference in alive vs dead.
Im not a huge fan of meaningless non-selling spotmonkey matches, but each week the positives are far outweighing WWE's massive negatives such as Dead scripted promos from lifeless talentless actors and absolutely knowing who will win every match on tv for five hours a week, every weeek. With AEW, it's not clear on 50-75 percent of the matches who is going to win.
I always said (in my house lol) that Matt Hardy arriving could change things for me.

so they're postponing the blood & guts match to a later date, saying it's not the right time. totally agree with the move. as excited as i was at the announcement of the match, i thought less than a month of current, active build for it was a bit silly, especially once it was set in stone that it was inner circle vs the elite. they've done a good job the last few weeks in hyping the match, but i think in the end delaying it will help even more. not having an arena full of fans for that match would be a travesty, so i'm glad it looks like they knew that, too. with that said, it does suck that we have no idea when it'll be possible to start thinking about it actually taking place.

Some of us in our 50's and 60's like myself, Ross and 'perhaps' a Jake might be in the high risk to likely die due to various weaknesses we have encountered in life, different but just as devestating Im sure.
Why Tully Blanchard or Arn Anderson (other than being morbidly obese) would be at higher risk but Tony Schiavone gets a free pass on health from Dr Donald is beyond me.
