Was it a script or did she freestyle? I guess I haven't heard of anyone writing promos for talent.

Scripted or not, I thought Baker did just fine. Don't know how she could have done better.

She should go on the Great British Baking Show then she'd really be a Brit Baker.

Her interacting with "Paul Hollywood" Hulk Hogan would be great.

Nothing personal against Britt Baker but she has go away heat with me so I found a little sadistic joy in seeing her getting tossed into tacks in front of 7 people and Billy Gunn's family.

I always get a little kick out of her and Tony's segments together.

I love Hikaru Shida with all my heart.

Big fan of Serena Deeb too. Love watching her wrestle.

Liking a bit of Tay Conti too.

Overall, I think they are getting there with the women's division. Oh, and Thunder Rosa! She's the next champion, surely.

For sure they now have the talent and the Rosa/Britt match was hopefully a good springboard for the division.

They also say MJF and Orange Cassidy are two of the best things about AEW. Is the bar that low?

Extremely low depending on who you ask. I like MJF but there are some wrestlers who people have high opinions of that I'm just not feeling.

Exactly, different strokes for different folks. So while I find it sad that there are many AEW fans who find Britt Baker one of the top talents, I don't. At all. There are a lot of people who could not care any less about Pentagon Jr or Moxley, I love those cats.

Now, if anyone starts stroking it to QT Marshall then I think we can all agree simply putting "AEW" next to someone's name doesn't exactly make them an immediate star.

The sunset in the background with the palm trees at Daily's Place looks incredible.

Big Show seems solid on commentary so far.

Miro looked like an absolute beast in the main event. The whole match was built around him and it took three guys to take him out.

It's too bad more wrestling fans aren't excited about a promotion like you are about AEW.

Your mom could get decapitated by John Silver and you'd be like "THIS WAS THE GOAT SEGMENT!!!"

She's been dead 22 years, so if John Silver were to decapitate her, yeah, that would be a GOAT segment.

How is it everytime someone's mom gets brought up they're always deceased??

And I have no doubt if she was alive that would be another segment that fills you with an extreme amount of joy.

I don't understand why you hate my love of AEW so much. I enjoy AEW, MLW (who also put out a BANGER last night), and IMPACT when it's not pissing me off. I don't know why that's a bad thing.

It's not a bad thing, I literally said I wished everyone was as excited for a promotion that you are about AEW.

I will admit, sometimes I have to question how you could find every single segment every week to be so wonderful but you're an impressionable youth who made things like Chocolate Rain iconic.

Thing is... if you look elsewhere, lots of wrestling fans are as, if not more, excited about AEW than Hero! is. In some places you won't see a bad word spoken about it. Even so, ND's obsession with what other people do or don't enjoy and need to constantly include superfluous pop culture references in every post is a bit tedious.

Anyway, Dynamite was genuinely a super fun show this week. There's still stuff going on that I don't really like but the fun stuff makes it more palatable.

The only thing I hate is AEW ultra fans and NXT ultra fans who are convinced they are in an actual war and defend 'their' company no matter what and use 'we' when talking about them.

Can you imagine if twitter was a thing in the attitude era ffs?

Actually I also hate Dave and Bryan's schilling/spokesman role, But that's on them.

Dave buries AEW when something is bad. Bryan is more a fanboy of it, but that's more due to how bad WWE has gotten. When Alvarez is yearning for old Nitros, you know RAW has hit a low point.

We all know this is total bullshit. Dave MELTZER? He's never buried AEW. He may have been less than pleased, but the guy literally has nothing but positives to say about this company and the "negatives" are like when your Dad (he's alive right?) pats you on the back and says "Better luck next time, Champ".

What's wrong with old Nitro's? Are we talking 1999-2001 because I can see that, but 1995-early early 1999 were pretty good to great.

i listen to dave and and bryan's shows daily....Dave absolutely will shit on something he doesn't like. But that stuff doesn't make the snippets on twitter, people only see him praising omega or the bucks in-ring and think that's what he spend a full hour on.

And yes, deathbed WCW nitros. Alvarez, who wrote the death of wcw book, has always snapped back at fans who said that RAW was getting as bad as WCW...but now he's completely broken and saying "at least those shows were stupid, RAW is just boring"

2 things. I've listened to many many shows and once you get over Dave saying "ya know" a trillion times in 2-3 hours it's not horrible. You can't have an opinion about someone without knowing how that person feels about a product. Dave and Bryan do not shit on AEW. They might be like "oh that wasn't the best match Moxley's ever had" or "Not a GREAT promo from Nyla Rose" when what they're talking about was in fact dogshit.

But I get it.....Not every show is going to be Jim Cornette-style, very few are. Solomonster is another guy who for some reason barely sees a single thing wrong with AEW and goes out of his way to try and overexplain why fans are not understanding why something is cool that AEW has done.

The other thing is that Death of WCW book. HILARIOUS but full of shit. I remember ordering it off WrestleCrap.com simply because I wanted to see how shitty the cover looked in my hands. It's a funny, totally ignorant but funny take on WHY WCW went down. You and I could've done it. Those Nitros did suck, but they had Kevin Nash, and Raw doesn't so I sort of agree-bring back Kevin Nash!

There's no obsession. And I would say Hero is pretty much in line with a lot of people who are ultra AEW fans as PG put it. There are more fans like me who are like CALM THE FUCK DOWN GUY lol. You're making it super weird to be a fan of AEW right now. I get a little dirty feeling when I'm around ultra fans of wrestling promotions.

I mean, I used to give Peter shit every day for being such a VKM apologist. Now he barely defends Vince lol. So I guess I helped out in some way.

We did have Twitter but it was called AOL chatrooms and holy shit....I'm pretty sure the reason I'm such a badass on the boards and have such thick skin is all those years defending Kevin Nash in the 90's lol.

The ultra fans thinking this is a war....God bless them. If anyone who was old enough during the 80's and 90's to see a real wrestling war actually considered AEW v. NXT a war, they need their head checked. I can understand younger fans, just like younger people trying to say they have it just as hard today as my great-great-grandparents who were slaves or my grandparents who went through the Depression, WW2, etc. Those were wars, this is just a military conflict.

AEW v. NXT is a battle only the super hardcore and/or ignorant young fan are going to consider bigger than what it is. That's because the bubble is so small, so exclusive despite trying to be more inclusive-we just alienate more and more people because who wants to watch WRESTLING with nothing but rabid, hardcore weirdos like us? Nobody that's who lol.

Statlander also shows up on Sammy's vlog now and then. If you kept up with either show then you would have seen her go from crutches to walking on her own.

Tbh I was getting a bit bored of the feud however that was a great pay-off. Just missing a slap from Trent’s mum.

Hopefully Miro can go onto bigger and better things soon.

I'll admit, Cassidy/Best Friends getting "where is my mind?" as their theme has instantly enhanced my enjoyment of them. I even enjoyed them winning, celebrating in the ring and waving to Sue. Miro still looked super dominant and hopefully it's just a matter of time before he destroys Kip.

Kip trying to put Miro down for not being the “best man” not having his bad then Miro going face doing a Batista-ish turn and systematically destroying everyone on the card before eventually reaching Omega would be brilliant television.

Best Friends and Santana/Ortiz = best tag teams not to have won the AEW tag belts already.

Best Friends could even do the Freebird rule thing.

May 5th, Blood n Guts. Pinnacle vs Inner Circle.

That should be awesome. I'm surprised they're doing it on free tv.

    Greatest. Dynamite. Ever.

Super shocking "turn" by The Young Bucks. I was totally sold on their allegiance to Mox last week and to see them do what they did....TK did it again!

Mike Tyson coming out and saving Chris Jericho was probably the highlight of the night. It's good seeing Tyson be part of pro wrestling again and we all know if he was in WWE he'd be winning the 24/7 championship facing The Miz at WrestleMania. Maybe back in 1998 that would've worked but not in 2021.

All in all a good show. I was a little let down with the lack of in-feud fighting that they did a great job putting in every single segment last week. This week just seemed more about delivering on the shock and awe and NXT might've been called "Stand and Deliver" but everyone knows TK delivered tonight, not VK.

I really liked the show last night. I do think there are a lot of stables but I am interested to see who ends up helping Mox and Kingston. Will it be death triangle? Christian Cage? Big Show?

Hate is a strong word for an angle that's really really booked well.

It should be Christian Cage and Big Show. Kingston is kind of an odd man out since he's not a former WWE wrestler pushing 50 but Mox isn't even 40 yet so there's a balance.

To me it would be kind of like WWE v. AEW/TNA. The ultimate storyline and an even bigger upside that WWE would never try. Big Show and Christian, especially Big Show, so much more to give to the business at this stage in his career. Imagine The Shield but with Big Show and Christian and then Eddie Kingston just kind of like the Louie Spicolli/Disco Inferno of their squad. Brilliant and TK is doing a wonderful job with the rebirth of the Attitude Era.

What I'm hoping is that Steve Austin and Jericho start building toward an angle that sees the Inner Circle come to WWE and beat down everyone.

To make it 5vs5 I was thinking Eddie Kingston, Christian Cage, and then SCU since they're at the top of the tag team rankings and not doing anything.

That leads to SCU vs Young Bucks for the titles at Double or Nothing.

That would be incredible. Christopher Daniels and Kazarian need to win back the titles. Get the TNT title on Big Show and Christian can be the World champion.

The only real issue is the women's championship. I think TK needs to think about signing Molly Holly. She's fresh off the HOF induction. Jillian Hall is someone else I was thinking after Rumble, WHY didn't the WWE bring her back? She was one of the top women's wrestlers back in the day. So if they could get either of them to win the Women's championship.

Mox and Kingston need to have like an Ultra Violence tag-team championship created. What a lot of people don't get is how far the hardcore matches have come. The matches you used to see in FMW or ECW, that's exactly what we're seeing when these 2 are in those deathmatch settings. Moxley has the record he has because he's easily one of the best wrestlers out there today. In WWE, they had him put over some people and I just never understood WHY. WHY are you having Dean Ambrose lose? He was US champion for 11 months, never lost the belt by pinfall or submission, not even sure if he ever held it again but that was just another example of why TK>VK

Molly Holly said recently she was offered a spot at the performance center as a trainer and didn't even want to do that because her heart isn't in wrestling anymore. I think they need to bring Zelina Vega/Thea Trinidad in already. She's not the most amazing wrestler but I think automatically she'd be one of the best on their roster because so many people are green. I 100% agree about Zelina.

TK has access to funds that Molly Holly could wipe her passion back to front with.

Just wait until Andrade signs. By the end of this year we'll be seeing Charlotte in AEW.

I'm not sure why, but it seems to me that former Zelina would be a good match with the Dark Order. Have her come in and be the one to get them back to the menacing side.

Would Charlotte coming to AEW be like Hogan going to WCW? Arguably there are bigger names, but of who would be available and has a current disagreement with WWE, that would be a good get. However, I do hope AEW doesn't become the get the WWE castoffs or disgruntleds. Sure, Tony Khan technically has the money to lure people away, but you don't want to repeat the mistakes that lead to the downfall of WCW.

Never have and never will be a fan of the Dark Order. I loved Brodie Lee, I think it's a nice gesture to have his boy out there since they're a jobber squad, but nothing about them works for me as a fan.

Charlotte coming to AEW would be huge. It would be the equivalent of a Hogan or Savage leaving for WCW in terms of female name power in today's wrestling world. The WWE 4 Horsewomen, if any of them left for AEW it would be a big deal but I think Charlotte and Becky would be the biggest gets in terms of female talent.

TK has studied the mistakes of WCW and TNA. WCW unfortunately made the mistake of being in existence because it was just a tv show with wrestlers. They had no pull if TNT killed them and the suits had been wanting wrestling off the network since Ted bought it back in the late 80's. But somehow Tony Khan and his team have been able to do the impossible and not only bring wrestling back to TNT, but to make it better than anything we've seen since probably that tiny window of success in 1996-1998. Prior to and after, show me a feud, wrestler, match, etc. that rivals anything we've seen in the main event level of AEW. I'll wait.

One of the last Raw main events I taped was HBK vs HHH blood match (that's how I have it labeled), so that a was '99.

It's always odd to me when I hear about how the network wanted to get rid of WCW for so long. But then, most of the Turner networks got jacked up for a good while before the nostalgia bug hit and they started correcting some mistakes. I'm thinking mainly of CN. But that's another story.

I think AEW has a really good base of talent, they have die hard fans, they're proactive with marketing in many avenues (merch, video games, action figures, etc). I don't think they've gotten to the household name level just yet. I do wonder who could be a Rock or Cena level cross over talent.

Oh man I think right now you have Moxley who's in a movie with Gina Gershon, Christian Cage, Chuck Liddell "Cagefighter" so that right there will put him further than where he's been, not just in AEW but in general. I actually didn't even know Christian was in it so it makes sense as to why he will probably team up with Moxley to take down The Bullet Club Elite.

Taking out the legends like Jericho, Sting, Jake, etc. you have Cody. That guy is about to kill it with the reality show he and his wife have been working on since I think prior to All In. Some people think AEW was simply a vanity project so Brandi and Cody could slide in to red carpet events but come on, if Cody gave a shit about Hollyweird he wouldn't have tatted the old IWGP championship on his neck in red, white, and blue.

Everyone else like you said, probably too early to tell but right now I would say fresh talent like MJF, Darby Allin, Jungle Boy, Britt Baker, and probably Nyla Rose are the most well known wrestlers that don't have the "Oh well he made his name in NJPW-WWE-ROH-TNA" vibe. Omega and The Bucks obviously are household names, they've had their merch in Hot Topic and ProWrestlingTees.com for a couple years now so I think if someone would consider Finn Balor a household name or AJ Styles, you'd have to throw in those 3 as well, right?

That's interesting. Presumably it'll just be the odd appearance but he's an amazing talent.

In other AEW related news, Moxley challenged new GCW Champion Nick Gage at Spring Break. That's going to be something. I watched Moxley vs. Barnett from Bloodsport 6 and it was a fantastic, chaotic match. Absolute bloodbath with some great visuals.

I thought this week's episode was great tbh.

Jericho's promo was excellent, lots of passion, really helped take the feud up a notch. Then the attack was great as well. Tyson save is what it is, some outside promotion, was done as well as could be. I think they should have had Spear sell Tyson more though, he should have been Kod from one punch, 50 odd year old or not Tyson would spark him in real life so should have sold that.

Liked QTs promo as well, sold his group well and went full on in on Cody, made it seem hot and personal. He's really come on the last year so happy for him to get a push.

Britt also hitting another good promo, guess she's gonna go on a run killing jobbers though to prove a point. She should be the one to take the belt of Shida.

Omega/Good Brothers v Moxley)Bucks was fun. Hope that's the Bucks turned heel for a while now, them flip flopping all over the place was getting full. Have them lose to Death Triangle due to interference to ramp this up a bit.

No Miro, hopefully they are gonna split him and let him go solo on a killing run.

Death Triangle v Best Friends should be decent enough.

Not sure where they are going with either of the Sting/Archer or Team Tazz stuff so keeps it interesting at least.

    Solid show.

I'll take the bet on the grounds that every prediction made by either of us from now until the end of the year be tallied January 1st, 2022 and whoever has more correct predictions than the other not only does the loser not post until June 1st, 2022, but the winner gets blown by the loser's first love every day for that entire waiting period.

    Sound good? Fucking dork.

I see Cody tweeted a crib he's built for his daughter.

Surprised he didn't save it for a 5 minute segment on Dynamite.

It's Wednesday and you know what that means!!

Sadly I won't be able to watch Dynamite tonight but it's DVR'd so we're good to go.

Here's to MJF making note of Jericho working with the enemy. I think we have the tag match of the decade on our hands with the Young Bucks v. Fenix/PAC. Fenix and PAC are easily the top 2 high flyers in the world today.

Darby v. Matt Hardy, this feud reminds me a little of the Matt Hardy-Adam Cole ROH feud. Matt has a very very similar gimmick going right now all that's missing is Mike and Maria Kanellis and taht sweet pink furry belt. I figure if TK can get the FTW back in a prominent position he should be able to get the ICON title in the mix sooner than later.

Jade Cargill v. Red Velvet. This is what we used to call the "brought to you by Jergens" match.

It's for the reality show. I can already see the comedy pouring out of the episode where Cody and Brandi attempt to craft a baby crib. Hopefully they injected her with enough Cody seed we get Octo Mom II

Good show. The opening tag title match was awesome. I like the Young Bucks as heels. Dax vs Jericho was decent and liked the inclusion of Tyson. Main event between Darby and Hardy was chaotic. My only gripe is the twist of fate with the chair around Darby's neck. No way should that be a kick out. If anything, that should be a move done to take someone off tv for at least a week or two. A twist of fate on the floor would've done just fine. Dynamite was a fun show if I am comparing it to NXT , it was the better show.

Haven't tuned in to AEW in about two months, stuck with NXT but since it changed to Tuesday this was the only thing on. Pretty good show for me being out of the loop on ongoing storylines.

I thought NXT slightly edged out Dynamite this week but only because I thought the main event had a little more going on than AEW did.

I will say this when I saw the twist of Fate it took me back to that Mania match with Matt and Jeff. That's how Matt beat Jeff so I can see why Darby kicked out. He's a better, younger version of Jeff Hardy.

My only issue with this week's episode is all the chaos around the ring. If you're going to do that, save it for one match. I felt like it ruined the main event which was off to a great start.

The only reason I can think of why they're giving away Blood n Guts on free TV is they really want to try to break 1 million viewers.

1.2 million viewers damn. RAW was doing around 1.5-1.8 before Mania.
