I couldn't do Strowman vs. the Fiend because apparently the Fiend is being released on 10/28?So I did Strowman vs. some weird character, can't remember the name. Hit him with a chair during his entrance, then he just stood there. I couldn't hit him, he didn't move at all. So bizzare.
And I loved last year's game, I played that a lot. I don't understand how they took a major step back in quality. I really hope there's a patch or something to fix these issues. I'll have more time to play tomorrow to see what there is but first impression is not good. I also hate how they changed the controls. I can't even figure out how to get out of the ring.

I preordered the game and forgot it came out but now im reading all of these bad reviews so now im nervous. And how can you advertise getting the Fiend if you pre-order but hes not available when the game comes out? Thats like me going to the store and asking for the game and then walking out saying I’ll pay you next week...
And Chyna cant wrestle men? The main thing shes known for and shes limited to wrestling women? A 200lb female bodybuilder wrestling a female like Alexa Bliss would be more dangerous than Chyna fighting a man but yeah no male on female violence... except for like literally every other video game, kids show and super hero movie. I would of loved to have seen a Wonder Woman movie where she only fights women.
Yeah, I was baffled by the Fiend not being there in the selection screen, especially when Chyna, Hogan, and the Rock with his $500 shirt were there. I didn't want to play as him, I just wanted to beat him down, though with the controls being changed it may have ended up with him beating me down.
I haven't yet tried Chyna, but I'll take your word for it. I don't think that's something I'm that upset about, as I don't think I'd ever play as her. I do miss the days of being Stacy Kiebler and trying to beat Andre the Giant on Legend mode though.

Played it for quite a bit yesterday. Only time I noticed glitches were if you did a run in during an entrance. But during the matches themselves, I didn't notice any glitches. The controls were hard to get used to as some buttons have changed, but other than that I enjoyed my experience. The game did crash once when Tony Nese beat Drew Gulak for the CW title, but that wasn't too upsetting to me.
To the guy who said the game was "literally unplayable", I call you a liar.
I'm gonna guess most people's complaints have to do with online mode, but I've never, ever had a good experience playing WWE games online so I never try that option anyway.
You don't need to make excuses for this shit show. Sony is granting refunds, so it's clearly a bad situation.
Several articles I have read said that some players have reported little to no glitches in their game. I've experienced some, but nothing enough to make me want to get a refund and bitch online.
You having no issues does not make people who are having tons of issues feel any better though.

How very novle of them, Maybe don't release a broken game eh? I mean a few bugs sure. I mean these things do go through QC right?
I haven't had any major glitches just sometimes when you're near the ropes it just kinda skips and then you're outside the ring without doing anything, and the ref likes to block the view a lot. It's also strange that the attire's look really good, detailed and authentic yet the character models are really bad, like going through trying to pick a wrestler I would say 30% of them I had to look at the name to figure out who they were. And they seem to be more super hero built, like Eddie Guerrero is built like Brock Lesnar, Undertaker is 9 feet tall but then Chyna isn't really more muscular than the women just more defined.
I thought it was cool that they added in the original version of the Tombstone from 1990 where Taker kinda has the 1 arm tied under his but then they still haven't updated the last ride, Taker hasn't done the TLR from the powerbomb position in almost 10 years so I think it's time for a turnbuckle version.
I fucked myself over by pre-ordering the deluxe version which came to $100 after taxes without thinking do I actually need that? Because now I realize no, I don't. But yeah, the matches feel a little clunky and less smooth than last year, the models are pretty bad like almost amateur and I got bored pretty quickly. I'd say unless there's a new character in this year that you were missing then there's probably no reason to buy this years game if you have last years.

Back in my day when video games were glitching messes they stayed glitchy messes! Sonic 06 would not have been nearly as fun had they actually managed to fix the thing after they released it.
Although for the Sonic movie, I’m glad they acknowledged he was a mess lol.
So i dont know if this is a glitch or not but you can only play as the Fiend in the Bump in the night showcase, not regular matches.
Turns out hes there but you have to unlock him.

They released a patch today which should clear up most of the issues I've read people are having. I'll see if there's an improvement next time I play.
One issue I did have, a few days ago, was when I faced the Bludgeon Brothers in a handicap match, and I could reverse Harper just fine, but Rowan I could not. It was a frustrating few minutes, until I lost. Then I restarted and was able to reverse both.

There's currently a Humble Bundle 2k deal going that includes it in the top tier but I am not entirely sure if it is worth it.
I was going to look at getting it and assumed the issues had been sorted. Looked in to it and it appears the game is still utter cack.

General consensus I've heard is you're better off going with 2K19. I've had a couple opportunities to buy both and couldn't come to a decision myself.

Announced on the shareholder call that there isn't going to be a 2K21. They did tease some other game though, announcement coming Monday morning.

Game looks ok from the game trailer, but think it would be one of those games I play once or twice and then never play again. I wish they had spent all their money and resources on making a new, great 2k21 game though.
Should be OK as a placeholder, But hope they really sort out the main game and rebuild it from the ground up for next year, There is no excuse for the abomination 2K20 was.
According to the article I saw, they are taking the year off to make a greater product next year.
Whether that's true or not remains to be seen, but that extra year could really make a big difference.
It'll hit like that Legends of Mania game or whatever it was where they tried to use the Legends of Wrestling looking graphics but other than playing the WrestleMania storyline the rest of the game had little replay value.

I haven't played it in a few months, but I had a jolly good time making Strowman and Nese the tag team champions.
I truly miss the era of games where you could have women vs. men matches. It was oodles of fun being Stacey Kiebler and trying to beat Andre the Giant on Legend mode. Stacey being perhaps the weakest player in the game, and Andre being one of the toughest. You also couldn't pick the guy up so you had to resort to drop kicks, punching, kicking, flying off the top rope, etc.

You have a sick idea of what fun is. Though I do miss the genderless matches even those are so rare in real WWE that I don't really know why they were allowed. Especially during pretty much every era up until very recently where the women were just eye candy. And yes you had a handful of good to great wrestlers but most were easily forgettable or known for some physical attribute. They could have cut them from the game entirely and most people wouldn't have noticed. Same goes for the cruiser/light heavyweight whatever they are calling it any given year.
I've been holding out for years for a genuinely good wrestling game to drop again. It seems like this shouldn't be THAT hard.
