A website and Twitter account have appeared online promoting a new wrestling company called Battle Project Wrestling.
As of yet, there is only the following video clip:
----We begin in a dimly lit arena of some sort, all we can see is a lone spotlight shining down on the Battle Project Wrestling logo in the center of a wrestling ring. Our camera then pans over to a man in a suit.
“Hello wrestling fans, my name is Don Piano. It's quite simple: I've been a fan of professional wrestling my entire life. While I've never had the physical skills necessary to step into the ring, I have the mental skills to succeed on the business side. I have managed a number of wrestlers to great success while also helping several fledgling companies find their way. And now I'm striking out on my own. This is the big bang of Battle Project Wrestling.”
The arena suddenly bursts into light revealing a magnificent gold-trimmed ballroom-style arena with chandeliers hanging high above the ring.
“I am standing here in the Piano Family Ballroom at the Grand Borledeux Hotel. This ballroom has been in my family for generations and now, my father has handed me the key. Thanks to a partnership with Nortflorx streaming service, I plan to bring you the best professional wrestling has to offer. Please stay tuned to our website and Twitter to see our star-studded roster take shape and for announcements about our upcoming events. The Battle has begun...”
BPW is going to be a 12 episode show with a mid-season PPV-type event and a season finale PPV-type event.
Your job is to sign up below as either a wrestler of your own creation or as a real-life wrestler. Depending on how many folks sign up, I'll pad out the roster with some jobbers, as well. Beyond that, I only ask for your participation.
The more you can offer, the better, but don't feel like there's a certain level of expectation. I would like as much creative input from you as possible as far as ideas you have for your character, who you'd like to feud with, any interesting antics or moments you'd like to be a part of, etc.. You can work together to craft a feud or I can get the ball rolling for you and you can run with it. The more ideas you provide, the less work I have to do, the easier it will be to keep this thing afloat.
I'm thinking the episodes will be posted every 2 weeks or so. In between episodes, you can talk trash and promo, promote your upcoming match, develop your character, post in character, post out of character, PM me ideas, etc., and just try to keep this fun and involved and alive. The goal here is entertainment and to tell a good story with what we're doing so you aren't necessarily going to be graded or succeed based on “good promos” like in the R-feds, although more participation and quality output will likely be reflected in your success in some way (and lack of participation will definitely see you on your back).
The main thing I want to stress is that I'm trying to keep this more streamlined and less of a workload than the R-feds. You don't have to post massive paragraphs of promos (though you can if that's your jam), you can keep it as simple as posting in character to spit some barbs at your opponent. The shows themselves will also not be sprawling novels, I plan to keep them brief with only the important details and gist of what went down (like WWE's show recaps on their website). Again, we're doing this to have fun, not overwork ourselves.
Please make it clear when you are posting in or out of character with color tags, quote tags, or some other sort of indicator.

I also have three fictional managers available:
“VERY” BARRY GOUDA
Think of Paul Heyman in an ugly plaid suit, like a scummy used car salesman.
VANESSA ST. CROIX **managing "Dangerous" Johnny Dollar & Cypher**
Intimidating business woman who is sharply-dressed and equally sharply-minded.
FANBOY
An obsessed fan who is less of a manager and more of a personal servant who would gladly take a piledriver for you.
First come, first serve on them or if you've got someone of your own, please include it in your sign up info.

Any questions, ask away, otherwise, sign your ass up if you're in...
