Balor vs. Andrade should be good if the Demon doesn't just go into squash mode. Hoping to see him continue the different moveset like at Mania.

I want to see Taker vs. Goldberg purely for the car crash appeal. I suspect it will be very sad to watch.

Goldberg/Taker makes me think there's gonna be some interference like Sting and Kane (just throwing a couple old-timer names out there) that leads to a tag team match.

I never watch these pretend ppvs but I need to see if Goldberg breaks all of Taker's bones with one wild jackhammer.

I was thinking guys like Elias and Corbin which leads into a tag match. I can't see either of these guys losing here.

Looking forward to the 50 man rumble, looking like some NXT, NXT UK, and 205 Live guys will be a part of it?

Didn't Finn Balor refuse to work the last Saudi Arabia blood money oil show because they hate gay people?

Surprised he's in for this one.

Sami Zayn won't attend because of his religion, Daniel Bryan is out as well due to how they treat women etc, so it looks like they brought Ziggler in for this to work with Kofi, as Kevin Owens reportedly isn't going either

worked the first one, not the second, and is in for this one. There wasn't a reason given as to why he wasn't part of the second show.

I know it was a bad joke. Good on them for sticking to what they feels right. It's a shame, I wish everyone could go and even the women could wrestle. Maybe things will change over the years, but I doubt it.

Like PP said, I doubt we get a clean finish for Goldberg/Taker and they ultimately team up.

The 50-man battle royal should be interesting from a visual perspective.

No Aleister Black either, reportedly because of his tattoos and their religious implications. How many guys on the roster don't have tattoos? I can think of Sheamus.

Alestier Black can have as many tattoos as he wants. That's not the problem. Its the meaning and implications behind his ink that'll upset the Sultan.

I’m looking forward to seeing Taker pull out his new signature moves he’s debuted in his last couple matches like kicking the air with such force it knocks down his opponent and the double whip into the barricade.

So you're saying it's the character that is objectionable.

Undertaker - the barely alive old guy who calls himself a deadman, known for his "sit up" spot, who pretends to have supernatural powers from the world of darkness to intimidate his opponents - is totally cool.

However Black - the living younger guy getting famous for his rolling to a cross-legged sitting spot, who is calling for supernatural powers from the world of darkness to intimidate his opponents - is not okay.

I am just having fun with this. I hope Black has a career even half as good as Undertaker's.

It's just another one of those feuds that's been poorly built. Strowman in general has gone all over the place recently from cars to Zayn to Corbin to Drew and now to Lashley. He was mysteriously taken out of the MITB match apparently due to a "longer term" storyline Who the fuck knows what they're doing with Strowman these days? They keep pinging him from one thing to the next.

When it looked like Joe and Strowman were starting something, that looked exciting as the brawl was really something. Then it was mysteriously dropped.

I want to be excited about Strowman/Lashley as I'm a fan of both guys but it's a meaningless match on a glorified house show. Plus when they met during the MMC, i thought we might get a good hoss fight but instead, Braun just manhandled Lashley and that was that. So I don't have high expectations here.

Maybe now that Rey's hurt, Strowman can get focused back on Joe and the US Title...

Yeah definitely. Joe calling out the whole locker room then Strowman coming out was great. Why not continue that?

Rey is injury-prone, older and past it. WWE didn't need to bring him back though I suspect part of the reason may have been to boost their Hispanic market to please the networks and Andrade's not a big enough name just yet.

It got weirder when they went Elvis and did Taker sightings before he came back like "Oh I just saw Taker across the street", "I just Taker buying a loaf of bread" etc.

Yeah but Leslie Nielsen was the man and I'll always be grateful for his contribution to WWE.

Strowman/Lashley might actually be a sleeper match. Both guys are big, athletic hosses who can move and actually do some fun shit. Strowman is Vince's wet dream come to life and Lashley really grew into the role the WWE tried to thrust him in when he first came in. They'll both be big deals some day, but for now, just enjoy the meaningless fun.

If Strowman is Vince's wet dream then what the hell is Brock Lesnar? lol.

I hope Strowman win's the championship at the latest by WM 36. I would actually have Rollins hold the championship until Mania 36. Go through everyone BUT Strowman 1 on 1. Maybe they interact in a triple threat.

There are rumblings that Alexa Bliss and Natalya are being flown to Saudi Arabia in the hopes of having a match on the show...

Gosh, I don't know how I feel about that. I'd love to see the women have a chance to wrestle but I fear for their safety as well.

obviously if they are able to wrestle then safety isn't an issue since the government agreed to it

I would love to see them given a chance to wrestle. Nattie and Alexa are both more than competent in the ring, and to be honest, I don't think anyone is expecting them to be in a bra and panties match in Saudi Arabia - they are more likely to both be in full body suits. Perhaps this a baby step.

Last I heard on this it hasn't been cleared by the Saudi sports authority, but WWE have been pushing for a women's match for months...
It was originally planned to be Nia Jax vs. Natalya because they naturally wear body suits...

I hope it happens, and if it doesn't, I hope they're still on the show in some capacity and WWE keeps pushing hard for it...
It's bullshit Sami Zayn can't perform there. It's bullshit the women can't perform there. WWE should keep pressing them for change...
Progress in Saudi Arabia is painfully slow...

The WWE aren't going to push shit getting paid 53 million for 4 shows. The Sami Zayn situation is something deeper than the WWE care to fuck with and while women are slowly but surely being allowed to start driving now, again it's not on the WWE.

You actually think they are going to riot or kill the women if the government said they can wrestle? The WWE and the government have a deal in place and that would basically ruin everything if they said yeah bring them two women to wrestle but we are going to chop their heads off instead.

Who's to say some dude in the crowd isn't going to take matters into his own hands? But do I actually think that will happen? No. But let's not be naive.

I agree they aren't going to push the Sami Zayn situation, but the simple fact that they brought Bliss and Nattie along makes it clear they are pushing the idea of making progress for the women.

The WWE and the Saudis view this as a long term partnership, valuable to both sides. If you don't think both parties are already discussing future contract extensions, and having ongoing discussions, you're being naive. The WWE can honestly tell them they underestimated the backlash their brand would suffer due to the political situation, and they want to work together under mutually agreeable terms to make respectful progress. And the more they make progress, the better chance they can bring more of the full roster etc.

And if it doesn't happen this time, I don't expect the WWE to stop trying.

Goldberg vs. Undertaker would have been a lot better in 1999, or even 2003, but better late than never I suppose!

I'm not naive to the realistic idea that the WWE are already working on future events.....I'm not the one saying that the WWE should be pushing a country to change their views to match those of the Western countries. That's for the Saudis to handle, not an entertainment company. If this helps things along the way, awesome, but it's not the responsibility of the WWE to change the views of another country just because some of us want everywhere to be exactly like us.

May as well book cash-in attempts against both champs to keep it suspenseful enough. This was at least something different than Brock showing up and "Nah not happening".

I always thought the Champ low blowing a cash in guy to get DQ'd could be used as an angle, this was a slight variation of this. The heel getting DQ'd to out smart the face would have been one way or a bad ass champ like Austin doing it to get one over on a heel.

Wow, I was almost word for word on your response.

    Some things never change.

Surely Shane should be main eventing since the last time he was in Saudi Arabia he was crowned the best in the world right?

Three matches in, it's been an excellent show that's followed the plot line from the past few shows leading in to this ppv, it's made the losers look strong and that Andrade guy could/should be a star. He elevates everybody to be their best.

So..Is Brock coming back out to beat Kofi up?

Slow to start with but really picked up towards the end. Great finishing sequence with punt tease.
