Badger, why are you staying on HHH when there is a 5 in 7 chance that virm is scum? You have filled the last page and a half of this thread with your usual Badgeresque postings but not actually discussed the current voting situation.
Mainly because I questioned him earlier and I was suddenly roleblocked. Then his assumption about Jarrod was wrong. I know the stats you people keep may not show I'm not entirely clear but I'm honestly trying to help it seemed like a weird random roleblock. I haven't voted virm because the Raiden bringing him back thing is a headscratcher. He could very well be scum and won't lose sleep if he's lynched but I'm sticking with my gut feeling on HHH.
I'm not great at being concise and often have quick second thoughts right after I post. That's the Badgeresque way!
EBWOP plus I'm passionate about the game. Hope I got that right!
Badger, if you want to campaign for HHH, that's one thing. But you gotta look at the fact that without enough votes, no one gets lynched. If you look at the evidence provided, Virm is at least just as likely to be scum. It's basically down to virm and HHH at this point, and Virm has more steam. Let's nail one and we can consider HHH with more info instead of getting nowhere and voting neither.

Raiden wasn't that great in the actual game anyway. Couple of good moves but generally slow. Liu Kang, Scorpion and Sub-Zero all the way!

The lynch was completed at 8:14 am, less than 45 minutes before the end of the phase. That was a jam packed day.
Night Three
Life was returned to him, he could not believe it. The warmth of the pool, its life giving powers flew through ever cell of his being, the elation of being brought back almost overwhelming.
Virm could not believe his luck. Another chance to do what he needed to do.
He saw the mob come his way and reached out for their help. He was still weak following the reformation of his body and no doubt they had been sent to aid is his rescue.
The first blow confused him, leaving his jaw broken. The blade that next cut into his midsection left a white hot pain. Watched on in a daze as his left arm was ripped off, his right leg severed by many different blades.
It took less than 30 seconds before Virm was killed again. He hadn’t even said a single word.

“More, this is is good”, he though to himself while his way clear. “They will all know what I know.”

Hoping this seemingly divine intervention would continue, he set his healing magic onto CWE for the night.

As he cowered there in the dark the thought just raced round and round and round in his head, never stopping. He would never be safe, he would never have peace. His destiny was to die over and over and over. He could see it now, playing before his eyes, what had happened before and what would happen again.
Lui Kang knew it was inevitable.
But, the Well of Souls! Why had he not thought of this before? It would sustain him! He had no need to leave its warm embrace. Just let him lie there for eternity, one with the ancient magic. Doing nothing. Just, at peace.
Knowing he had precious few seconds before being caught Lui Kang sprinted in the direction of the Well. Ignoring anything else around him he just ran and ran and ran until his destination was in sight. It was with such relief as each step got him closer.
Without breaking stride he leapt feet first into the pool.
If only Lui Kang had listened as intently during his spiritual training as he had during his physical.
The liquid of the well, while acting as life giving mana to the newly awoken, acted as a vicious acid to the living, preventing potential misuse from tyrannical and despotic individuals.
The pain was indescribable. Lui Kang’s body engulfed, immediately beginning to dissolve; skin, bone, blood all adding themselves into the mixture. On instinct he opened his mouth to draw breathe and scream, only to fill his lungs with the fiery liquid.
Cewsh, nothing left, blind from his eyes melting, deaf from his ear drums being washed away, only pain remaining, prayed for the end to come quick. There was one tiny crumb of comfort in the back of his head, what was left of it. He was never coming back.

I guess Badger could be the blocked scum, too, but he has two potential town roles. The one potential town role for Kotre is highly unlikely. One of the two is almost guaranteed to be scum.

I am all for jumping on this given Cewsh' death BUT why would JP write up "Lui Kang hides behind Kev" then "Lui Kang dies"... that's a straight up mod writing "Kev is the bad guy", basically.
The hider role is a hard one because you are meant to leave subtle clues as to who you suspect so you hide behind them, clear them and if you die, people go "oh shit, hider guy wrote this"

It was freezing in jail, can't expect central heating in the Outworld. Other than that not bad. I was fed and watered .
If Raiden could have revived Cewsh and he then said "I didn't target Kev".
Makes sense why he is dead dead and not possible for revival. So if you don't go Kev for the obvious info in the write up, who? Kotre and his 1 or 2 at best town roles? Badger blocked with no Goro sighting? Any Dees on HFR, Stryker? Psycho or Grim for still being alive?

I look ridiculously scummy, I just went through my old voting patterns and have been on the pro-lynch train for Cewsh for the majority of this game. Ugh.
I don't have any info. I think I can say that safely without giving away who I am and won't be able to provide insight.
I wonder if someone disguised themselves as me because I read fairly clean (as in, if you look at the previous write-ups, I've yet to actually be involved in any phases [perhaps my character has been though] because noone has targetted me so I look like a safe bet.)
This is confusing, but if I was investigated, would I still flip town? even if the shapeshifter/disguiser imitated me again (it's hard to actually accumulate information on this role as everything I've googled reveals no interaction with a hider role)?
The other thing that I don't know why noone has stated though is that Cewsh flipped as a normal town hider, not a weak town hider - from what I read in the write-up is that the hider only dies when they hide behind scum and are weak. Weak hider is a common variant but wouldn't that be specified?

Kev might not be clean. But I think lynching him because of Cewsh dying is a mistake.
The fact he wasn't revealed as a weak hider doesn't mean anything. We typically don't find that level of detail out until the end when JP reveals the mod notes.
I think we need to look elsewhere.
And it said Rip was a vig and not a desperado. But how did he die? Or MOD is evil is how.
For example we need to figure out what the hell Scorpion is doing when he's marking these people.
I thought at first maybe that it was like a poison. But knee is still alive so that seems less likely.
Unless he only poisons town.
That wouldn't make sense, He'd have to be able to get rid of scum somehow as well.
I keep going back to the posts Grim quoted. Where Cewsh said the next one was HHH. It's possible the shape shifter is playing havoc and that's why we saw Kev.
Just the flavour text of how Cewsh died is a very tough read.

Yeah I realise that if I ask someone to investigate me and I flip town to them there's also the suspicion of being the GF, but the odds of me being that compared to being town are low.
But apart from my voting of Cewsh I don't think my votes have been consistently allegiant to really anyone apart from wanting to rid the world of the seemingly scummy Cewsh :/
As for me I'm torn between Badger, HHH and Kotre.
Badger was roleblocked and there was no kill, Kotre has claimed Sonya - but HHH's also been consistently against Cewsh, his voting patterns throughout this whole thing have been suss as anything, stuck up for Jarrod earlier (after all, who wouldn't want to try and keep their canonneer's stored kills).

I am not 100% on HHH. He's definitely felt off all game, particularly on the Jarrod lynch... and if Cewsh had straight up died hiding behind a CHARACTER, I would be all over it based on those two messages. However, the death write up doesn't appear to be anything like "the hider hid behind a bad guy", so unless JP is going over the top in flavourtown, I don't know if it's as simple as that.

Alright, I've read up on all the posts this phase so far. So Kev could definitely be a red herring. If we don't lynch Kev, I think Kotre is the right hit. By saying there's one more town role he could be, he's basically admitting that he's not Raiden or The Outsider. I'm gonna thoroughly read the write-up, double check my spreadsheet, and scour over Kotre's posts to see what I can deduce about who he can and can't be. Badger's up there as likely scum as well, and if Cewsh actually hid behind HFR, then that's probably a good hit. At the exact moment, the order of priority for me is Kotre, HHH, and Badger. Only reason I'm not gung-ho on Badger is I still get general town vibes from him, and he was targeted mafia N2 when it wouldn't have been the best move to block their own.
Another thing to consider is Stryker checked out HHH. If there's no one outright defending him this phase, he's practically confirmed unless he's The Outsider.
Add Knee for me. Unless someone has something solid to clear him.

Kotre can't be Raiden or Sonya, by the tracker's word can't be Cassie, and has been eliminated from every other role due to basic spreadsheet info. And essentially by his own admission, is not The Outsider.

Before I catch up on the rest, Kotre or HHH are a much more sure hit than Kev. I'm already leaning Kotre more and more.
I had been pondering this. One thing I noticed is Jacqui seems to be either X-Shot or every night. Jacqui shows up on N2 and N3. Knee is blocked on N1. Unless we believe that her role is submitted as part of the day phase and therefore can't be blocked, that could be a clear for Knee.
Oh, and I don't remember exactly who it was(was it @Pablo Diablo)? Scorpion is almost certainly an arsonist. We've learned JP's pre-game flavor gave heavy hints to the roles. Scorp talked about fire, and is now marking people. What that means is at some point in the game, he can ignite all those he marked and kill them.
I will be baffled if he's not an arsonist.

That's why I was thinking it's probably day submitted. Though, if it's a variation of the Jailkeeper, surely it'd be too OP to be invulnerable to blocks, right?
I know we read a LOT into JP's flavour, but I think that one might just be paranoia, not something else. Maybe?
And unblockable jailer role would be insanely OP, agreed. Unless it's X-shot or if they were blocked, the role might work some other way?
I just wanted to respond to this to say that basically every hider we've used on these forums as been a "weak" hider, but that modifier has never been declared by my memory. In fact, the link you showed says the weak variant is the original version of a normal hider. So even though it might not be because he hid behind you, I'd be willing to bet the hider works that way, and nothing else really explains Cewsh's death since there was no mafia targeting.
Perhaps he specifically didn't call it a desperado so we wouldn't immediately look at whomever Rip was talking about targeting. Or early hypotheses about having limited kills or something of that nature.
If we had Quan Chi in the game, I could believe that Bo Rai Cho and Cewsh were the results of some suicide magic, but unless The Outsider is behind it, there's no one else in the game that would logically have an ability like that.
Was thinking about this while I was away from the game. While it could explain why Cewsh didn't die behind Rip, the only other role that could potentially have a kill is Sonya if Cassie doesn't count as having a kill. And I just don't see Sonya being a vigilante. Perhaps The Outsider? But in that case, we still wouldn't necessarily want him dead(as I'm presuming he's just a survivor).
To be fair, we still don't know Virm's role, so until that reveal, no one's officially clear for voting him. But to be completely honest, you weren't the only one looking against HHH. Grim and Cewsh had also made as much very clear. So if they were to roleblock someone out of fear, you wouldn't be the only candidate. So I don't think that's why it happened.

Ok, I'm starting on my re-read of Kotre's posts, and this one's interesting:
Here, he makes a clear plea to not be elbowed in the throat(something that you might want to avoid saying as scum, as you sound guilty), hypothesizes over Jarrod not being a strong lynch AFTER he's already dead, then drops some flavor about Baraka's role to explain why mafia might have held off on a kill. Could be a rookie mistake, but would he give us this much info as scum before the theory had really been floated by anyone else?
That said, the only potential non-scum roles he could be, he's mentioned in posts as if he's not them (Sonya and Raiden, and to an extent The Outsider), so I guess no matter what, he's making fake-out posts. So this is probably an irrelevant line of thinking I should drop, but I wanted to at least see if anyone else had an opinion on it.
