Man I haven't watched Aero Star in 2-3 years. He looked like he came into this match hurt. Plus there were a few spots where he just fucking splattered himself on the ground.....I don't remember him looking so much like Gran Metallik in terms of size.
CM Punk makes it hard to admit he's my favorite wrestler of the modern era. When he came out I predicted 2 things: SHout out to Moxley and something relating it to his time in WWE. He delivered. 4/10.
Cody v. Andrade was incredible. Andrade and Cody are probably the 2 biggest tools outside of the ring but hard to deny they're not 2 of the absolute best in this company.
Still not sold on Page beating Omega but again, Page's success will be more about what happens after he wins the title. Someone said he should win it and then do an open challenge where MJF beats him the following Dynamite. Kind of reminded me of when Christian finally won the World title in WWE and then lost it 3 days later to Orton at a taped Smackdown.

Aero Star has been working hurt for a while. He and Kalisto came off pretty badly in that match.
Could see Moxley return and feud with CM Punk. Moxley heel.
It made sense to send Punk out. The last thing you want if for a crowd to boo (some may not have known what happened), because of a cancelled match in that situation.
Using Punk there pretty much guaranteed the Pro-Moxley chants that I'm sure most people who knew Moxley were hoping to hear.

It wasn't a big deal at all. Jericho was probably drunk again and I can't put parameters on how Ms Huber chooses to grieve. It was just odd that she didn't even bring it up, it was Jericho.

The one nice thing about being a fan for 3+ decades is you master the art of turning out terrible commentary. Excalibur is by far the worst commentator I've heard since Mike Adamle. And Adamle used to be the shit back in the 90's doing American Gladiators. Tony Schiavone is a close 2nd. I was never a fan of his going back to his little stupid mustache phase. JR.....I love Jim Ross but you can literally hear the disgust in his voice calling AEW.
CM Punk would be a good addition if he gets to wear the sports jacket again.
I don't understand Excalibur hate. He's the best. Commentary had a glaring hole when he was missing. I will take him over Michael "vintage" Cole, every time.
As someone who only watches a bit of AEW here and there, I think Excalibur and Tony are fine. Tazz is hilarious. JR is terrible. Jericho is also pretty unpleasant. And then there's always a fourth dude like Wight, Henry, or Starks that seems totally unnecessary.
If you wanna hear bad commentary, listen to IMPACT’s commentary. It’s brutal.

Yes, for someone who barely watches AEW I'm sure you think they're fine. As someone who has been listening to Excalibur commentate for many years (PWG, now AEW) He sucks.
Yeah, he's excellent. The commentary on the PPVs, Dynamite and Dark is really good and one of the big reasons watching AEW is so enjoyable at the moment. I don't think WWE commentary has been nearly as listenable in about 15 years. Wight and Tony on Elevation are fine. The Rampage team needs trimming for sure.
WWE commentary is pretty terrible outside of Corey Graves and Pat McAfee. Beth and Wade on NXT aren't too bad. The play by play are pretty whack. Jimmy Smith gets a little bit of a pass because I did enjoy his Bellator/UFC commentary and he's still pretty fresh. If it was just him and Graves, it'd be a lot better. Byron is probably the worst commentator next to Excalibur solely based on the fact they've been doing it for so long.
I can't speak for most of you but those who are my age, we grew up with the elite. Nowadays I long for Mongo McMichael and his dog.

There wasn’t a lot between Omega and Page but what they provided was pleasing. I have to imagine there’s going to be a hot showdown next week.
Difficult to navigate transition Punk had to make between support for Moxley and promoting a match but he handled the transition well. The reasoning for not being in the tournament? Probably not as good.
Pretty good reveal/arrival of Jungle Boy during the brawl, and I’m pretty surprised Christian hit the Conchairto on Cole.
PVZ was the standout of the Inner Circle/ATT segment.
Liked the segment with MJF and Allin. The kernel of truth was there as the possible out for the match, Allin trying to do too much rather than just winning the match and that ultimately costs him. Whether that’s the finish or not, it’s going to be an emotional match.
Cody and Andrade had a good one.
Exalibur is great at what he does but he’s not good at knowing the date of Full Gear lol. He’s screwed that up at least 2-3 times haha.
Bowens had that good line about Danielson’s father in law. There weren’t going to be many scenario were you could go with that jab but they certainly manufactured a good opportunity to pull it off. I know I mentioned this during one of the early chyron’s Danielson had, but why are they reference him as just a four-time world champion?
Punk and Kingston delivered as I knew they would. The interesting part was that Punk came off somewhat cavalier and smug with his rebuttals. I think he was delivering some tough love but it certainly came off as I explained too. Regardless, it was a very good segment. Didn’t take much to build anticipation for the match but they delivered in a big way.
I’m disappointed that the aforementioned Conchairto from Wednesday was bastardized. That’s a move that really should put someone on the shelf for a bit. Instead, Cole did some selling early in the match but was more or less okay. I get commentary putting over Cole’s toughness for being out there for the match. I guess Christian’s lost his fastball with the delivery of the move lol.
Punk/Kingston segment was HOT. I really hope this feud goes on past Full Gear but I'm not sure it will. I'd like to see this morph into Punk as heel and Kingston as face. Although it's not exactly clear cut as it is anyway.
Hard to decide who my favourite is between Kingston and Miro right now. They're both on fire.
I love Danielson just wrestling everyone, all the time. But I really hope it doesn't abruptly end with an injury and he gets to keep doing it for a long time yet.
Full Gear card is shaping up really nicely. No reason why it shouldn't be another great show.

Ratings have been slipping a bit. Can't help but think the random airings on Saturday nights have messed up everyones routine. Airing on TBS will benefit AEW.

Excalibur is better than the old guys he is with and Josh Matthews. He reminds me a lot of Mauro, which is good.
