Yeah I'm talking about straight up homegrown not people who became bigger names in AEW. MJF for example had already been on Stone Cold's podcast before AEW existed.

Okay so far for Dynasty we have the following:

    Ospreay vs Danielson
    Finals of Tag Tournament.
TBS title match Hart vs winner of fatal 4 way tonight.

I am guessing we are getting Joe vs Swerve for the title just not official yet.

Not going to lie just being there live for Danielson and Ospreay is worth it to me.

I feel like regardless of what other matches they have, even if Swerve wins, the "main event" will no doubt be Ospreay v. Danielson. This is going to be like Mania 18 where Rock and Hogan should've gone on last.

Yeah I am guessing that is the main event and not the title match.

Danielson also said being vegan was cool, so I wouldn't believe everything he says.

Joe v. Swerve is official. Time to put that belt on Swerve. It's weird. A year ago, shit just a couple months ago I was like...they hate this dude lol. Just the stupid shit he's been part of since joining AEW. If anyone deserves a title run in this company it's him. I don't see him being this big "game changer" or anything crazy, I just feel like after all he's been given he should get a run. The terrible stables, the pointless tag-team with Keith Lee, the weird horror movie elements, for a company that pretends to be about "wrasslin" they have made Swerve the most WWE-esque wrestler they have next to MJF. That's why he'll do pretty well as champ until he loses it to Bruv or Jokeada

    Caught the main...

Had a feeling Takeshta was to lose.. Was most blown about missing Ospreay after all these years of not seeing him (ironically, I wasn't as eager to see Shibata again, but I used to dig him, too).

Super-impressed seeing Swerve as a main-eventer. On my last run of watching and posting, I was leaning heavy on certain guys just belong in the main-event for their style of wrestling. I didn't see Swerve as that guy, but now I do.

Am also high on the AEW main-event style as I guess an extention of the ROH-main event style. All Japan was doing something dif last time I saw them; same with New Japan, to varying degrees. But there's something both crisp and fresh about the AEW main-events I've seen that actually serve the talent and the stories better than anything else in-ring wise. It offers a lot without giving too much away.

Has Takeshta fought Joe yet, I mean, at all? He's gonna have fun playing with that tub of dough. He fought valiantly and didn't let that lethal kick to the head kill him, which makes him a suvivor of death in the nether-region, if you know what I'm trying to say. @Donald, do you understand what I mean? I'm kind of curious what you thought of that main event knowing that you've been watching...

Don’t think Joe has fought Takeshita at all I think.

Really good wrestling showcase overall. Loved Ospreay/Shibata and Swerve/Takeshita in particular. 4-Way was fun. Bucks/Private Party was really good up until that botched EVP Trigger…..not good. Shame.

Enjoyed the show. Ospreay vs Shibata delivered as well as the main event.

    So Dynasty so far officially

Joe vs Swerve for the title
    Ospreay vs Danielson
Hart vs Willow for the TBS title
    finals of tag tournament.

Going to guess if Mercedes doesn't wrestle she gets involved some how in the TBS title match
Okada vs PAC is probably going to happen
Toni vs Purrazo again maybe honestly would love to see Deeb get a shot but I think the set up is the rematch.

Interested to see what they do with Strong and Copeland and their titles

I get that Tony wants to take an angle from NJPW with Willow and Mercedes and continue that but I don't get bringing in a top tier talent like Mercedes and she's in the midcard title mix. Same thing with Edge. Why is this guy carrying the equivalent of the European title in 2002??

I am guessing he didn't want to push her straight to the title if he is not ready to take it off Toni yet. So let her be involved with Willow for a bit first.

As far as Copeland goes he probably chases the main title at some point but I think he is in the part of his career where he is not worried about that and just having fun.

TK and Bischoff going at it on Twitter.

Someone take TK's account away from him. Or maybe let him keep it for all these entertaining moments.

There it is, 100%. Put the belt on Swerve, then make it Swerve vs. Offspray at ALL IN and and we all witness AEW's greatest main event of all time.

Swerve is one of the few who I think made the right choice in going to AEW. He would never have reached this level in WWE. Good for him!

Yeah I feel the right time for Swerve is now. It’s not the end of the world if he doesn’t but I feel the iron is red hot right now ready to strike.

Hangman he can revisit afterwards. Of course they may just have Hangman screw/try to screw him which would be even better if Swerve were able to win in spite of. He can then face Hangman next.

Well I mean he got released along with hit row so Vinces choice, but it certainly worked out for him and fair play.

Bischoff and Tony are like father/son it's hilarious. I sometimes give Bischoff a pass because despite his shortcomings he did give a platform to wrestlers that help mold some of the styles we see today. Obviously the nWo was a gamechanger and he's really the only guy to take it to head on with the WWE in 35 years and actually beat them in every aspect. So when Tony makes all the same moves and mistakes, while saying in the past he will do this and that different...Idk. It sounds hypocritical from Bischoff but it's really not because he's been there done that. It's hypocritical for Tony to be oblivious and try to square up to people on social media because he supposedly learned from the mistakes WCW/Bischoff made.

One of the biggest mistakes Bischoff made in the 90's was thinking he was on Vince's level. And it consumed him. When are we going to see Tony lowered down from the ceiling on a Vespa ready to challenge Nick Khan to match at Wembley? lol

Ospreay vs Hobbs on Wednesday. So another Don Callis family match up. They really need to go ahead and have Ospreay dump Callis and the family already.

Top Flight going over Starks/Big Bill was a nice surprise. I was sure they’d set up the rematch with FTR. Top Flight/FTR is even better….I really hope Top Flight go all the way here.

PS Nigel continually shitting on Danielson on Collision commentary will NEVER get old!

I think the Top Flight win was done on the fly after Starks suffered a stinger during the match. I think they wanted FTR to get their win back over Starks and Big Bill setting up FTR vs Bucks at Dynasty.

I haven't watched Collision yet but read the recap.

So new trios match added to ppv. Kingston, Copeland, Briscoe vs House of Black.

Also looks like we are setting up Thunder Rosa vs Storm for the title at the ppv.

Agreed. I think DC has gotten stale.

We don't need to shackle Ospreay there. Ospreay's run needs to be the priority, not re-energizing something else.

Punk talking about the All In incident today during an interview. I am catching little bits of what was said. Plan on going back to watch the whole segment of him discussing it. He says he turned to Khan and said this place is a fucking joke and you are a clown. I quit. Said he told Khan to deal with Perry about what he said out there.

There has been reports that Perry was supposed to come back to AEW in like December but when Punk showed up at Survivor Series Khan got mad and it didn't happen. Not sure what I believe about that.

Yeah. Ricky took a pele kick to his back, which had a lot of folks worried. Was relieved when he said he was fine.

I wonder if Cody started to think AEW was a circus and that's why he went back to WWE?

I have been watching parts of this interview that Punk did today and he said that TK was not a boss. Him and the others(Elite) were not in it for the money, ticket sells, ppv buys, etc. They just want to have good matches. It has been interesting to hear his side of things. He doesn't get into Brawl Out completely beyond what he said at the scrum.

He twice said the "I told him to deal with it, because he wouldn't like how I'd deal with it".

To be clear, the two things were Perry /"real glass" and Hangman's promo.

So, basically he didn't like two promos that got real, and wanted to go make threats over it. Coming from someone who has cut the promos Punk has....

Also love that Punk is upset because AEW was not as much about money as he wanted them to be. Hopefully as soon as he needs to be heel, WWE goes the Company Man/Corporate Made Punk route.

Also, the "stranded " at the airport was a touch dramatic. Fella had to get his own uber.

Guy is amazingly talented, but cannot talk for 15 minutes and not come off like a grievance collecting machine

Him and TK deserved each other for that era.

Imagine Roman Reigns having to call an Uber to Mania this year because "reasons" lol

Punk's money comment makes sense though but we always forget Tony Khan is a billionaire who doesn't care about making money. Punk is used to working for companies where making money is priority. There's a reason places like ECW don't exist, why ROH never made a profit and the majority didn't stay long. You can't pay the rent with a Meltzer 5 star review. I mean Punk's always been about money, listen to his Colt Cabana interview he talks quite a bit about how much money he missed out on in his first WWE run.

I have 100% enjoyed reading people on Twitter going ape shit about the AEW stuff he talked about.

Yeah lots of opinions on twitter about what all he said. That is for sure.

I saw that AEW released like 10 wrestlers yesterday. Looks like mostly people not being used. Little surprised by Stu Grayson. He left and had come back and instead of being part of Dark Order again they put him with the Righteous and then seemed to drop him from them for some reason. Talented guy so maybe some room for him over in TNA or somewhere else.

Parker Boudreaux too. Wasn't he at one point labelled the next big thing? Or was that cause he resembled Lesnar?

Meh they never really did anything with him much like the WWE never really did a lot with him. So not really surprising. I think people thought he had potential to be big.

He looked like Lesnar and that was about it. They gave him that dumbass gimmick with Joe Gacey and then he was released.

I remember. It was the same podcast where he talked about how he didn't care about the money, because he didn't spend that much. But also a lot about the money.

Look, I like money too. There's shit I would much rather be doing than what I do every day. But as the Million Dollar Man said......

I saw a tik toker pointing out how he used to talk about doing a match for like an hour or hour and half in a bar with like 20 people watching for the love of the business early on his career. But now it is all about the money and how dare people in AEW want to just do the matches they want to do for the love of doing it and not make money at it.

At least Tony Khan saying AEW: Where the Best Wrestle is better than WCW: Where the Big Boys Play.

Look at the adjective, Best. It takes more than just having the best wrestlers to be the best promotion.

Wednesday: I'll send Edge out to say we should ignore the bs (Punk) and appreciate wrestling.

Saturday: We are going to run (what I assume to be) a mock videoe of backstage at All in because I can't stop thinking about it.

God bless you Tony 'Herb Abrams' Khan.

Giving him an X platform is equivalent to giving Straight Edge version punk something a bit harder than Pepsi.

That booking makes zero sense to me. But I guess we'll see.

The Punk stuff is weird too. I mean, I'll watch it. It's not like I'll fast forward through it. And there's some general wrestling fan interest for me. It's not like an angry ever comes across well, or self-aware. Except for the deepest Punk apologists, I guess.

But what's the angle here? What are you drawing value from? Embarassing Punk? Trying to defend your decision? The footage could very well show Punk in the wrong. But again, how does that help AEW TV going forward?

Aside from Punk's interview, there is the reality that AEW has lost momentum. It was not too many years ago that Mick Foley discussed how if he were a young wrestler he would no longer think WWE was the best place to launch his career. Now, you could argue the momentum has changed. WWE just made Cody (who was being booed at AEW) the biggest star in wrestling. And Jade Cargill (who definitely had her haters) is looking good too. And the Paul Levesque branding is going strong.

WWE as an "employer of choice" has definitely come up.

All that said, AEW has some definite merit. HHH criticized people who wanted to go there because of the easier schedule. I get that is not the best fit for the WWE model. At the same time, nothing wrong with wanting more family/personal time. Doesn't hurt your ability to perform on a given weeknight.

So, I don't want this to sound like I'm just hitting at AEW. I do think Tony, after a few years of climbing, now has to deal with the fact that progression is rarely eternal or geometric. And how he handles the next year will be interesting.

Best case scenario the footage shows Punk was even more violent and in fact tried to attack Tony to make him fear for his life. Worst case Punk lied to Ariel and nothing happened to the degree he said.

Actually the worst case is if it's a parody that would be so fucking corny. But there are a lot of AEW cultists out there who were losing their shit that some people were like "oh well" about Punk kinda choking someone. If you're pro AEW on social media and you were losing your mind that yeah, fights happen in wrestling behind the scenes this isn't fuckin Wells Fargo Bank.

As far as AEW's current state....AEW thinks that if they just keep signing people and making random matches that don't go anywhere will distract from the obvious. Having a good matches isn't the end all be all and the biggest draw by a country mile to work for AEW is the same draw that saw Hall and Nash leave WWF, that saw Bret leave, that saw some people go to a Dixie/Panda lead TNA. $$$$$$$$$$$ Kevin Nash makes no bones about it and because he didn't do a 450 plancha off a ladder somehow he's different than Will Ospreay. The grind isn't even the grind like it was in the 80's-early 2000's.

I'm thinking/hoping showing the footage(real or not) is a part of bringing Jack Perry back

When it was first announced I thought it would be a funny if it's just a heelish, obnoxious bait-and-switch from the Bucks, but now that Meltzer's reported it as genuine footage I think it would be bad if they didn't deliver. I don't think there's really any value to be had in doing it though. The best thing AEW can do in regards to Punk is ignore him because the fanbase is just too split on whether they're pro or con.

Absolutely. There are some people who will support Punk regardless of anything else. And there are a section of those who will hate him now too. It's profiting nothing.

Maybe there's some brilliant Jack Perry angle here, but I'm skeptical.

Jack Perry's gimmick now is a reflection of Tony Khan himself. Spoiled rich kid who can't take any responsibility for his unprofessionalism so he blames everyone else and calls himself a scapegoat. That's literally Tony Khan in a nutshell.

This is one of those too little too late scenarios. Even a super AEW dork like Morrison has to agree it's desperate and pointless. For a company that tries to beat down they don't care about anything but having great matches they sure get their panties in a bunch when it comes to ratings, attendance, and how talent feel about Tony.

I've gone from thinking this is stupid to thinking the clash between AEW and Punk stans will be fun.

I still think it's stupid. I just also look forward to the weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth after.

It'll be like most of what AEW does, forgotten within a couple days. Nothing in that footage will disprove anything Punk said about Tony Khan and AEW. Nobody in the video will be at Dynasty. Why the Bucks are doing Tony's dirty work is beyond me.

And when did Punk and the Bucks stop being BFFs? I specifically remember CM Punk saying something along the lines of, and this might've been before AEW existed, that he would only answer the phone to come back to wrestling if it were the Bucks calling him.

It just beats down that Tony is a clown, it's not a business. Honestly the only thing people should be hoping for is that everything Punk said about what happened with him and Jungle was a lie. That there was nobody getting choked, maybe Jungle shoved Punk and Punk just took it. There is literally nothing..unless....The footage they're going to show has absolutely nothing to do with CM Punk and Jungle Boy's confrontation. That's the thing: When did anyone say this had to do with Punk? Even Tony didn't really say what the actual footage was going to be pertaining to.

Definitely by the time they kicked/walked/phased through his door.

in honesty though, I do remember him talking about the Bucks on the Colt Cabana interview. Most of the sentiments expressed therein.....have not stood the test of time.

I do love that some of the people riding hard against WWE and for AEW when Punk switched are now backpedaling hard.

Motherfuckers, Tony was this way before. He ain't changed.

I'm sorry, stans in crisis just amuse me. I can't wait to see some take victory laps tonight and tomorrow. Live your best life all.
