Honestly, I'm very meh on Bobby Fish and always have been. Honestly, I was kind of hoping Inner Circle would win here so that American Top Team(specifically Ethan Page/Sky) could win the blowoff match that I assume will happen. But honestly, I think I'm good with American Top Team looking dominant until the whole Inner Circle comes together.
i'd been growing a little tired to suzuki's schtick for the last while, to tell you to truth. still mostly enjoyed him but had been often finding his much-praised matches hollow imitations of his years earlier work. but that match with danielson was outstanding. amazing work from both guys, one of the best matches of the year.
also thought punk/sydal was wrestled exactly like the kind of match they'd have had in ROH in 2004 or 2005, really smart, well worked, well put together, with the highspots being things that had been built to the entire match rather than just move move move. lots of guys in AEW could learn from a match like that.

I haven’t watched this ep yet and will watch tomorrow but it seems like it’s following the simple yet effective formula of the bad guys winning the battle but the faces winning the war like with the Pinnacle feud.

The only Suzuki I've seen was his match with Mox a month or so ago and it sucked so not a good sell. However, after reading everyone's reactions to this match with Danielson, I might check it out.

I don't know why, but it makes me chuckle that Santana just moves from promotion to promotion and just appears to be fodder. Tay seems to be coming along but her timing needs some work.
Kind of curious to see when KOR's contract runs out because despite being a stacked division, reDRagon could be good utilization for both guys. Just not entirely sure what role Fish has in AEW other than helping younger guys. Certainly value in that but looking to make more of him than just that, while still helping others. Moriarty was pretty solid and will definitely be another in a long line of guys to watch mature/develop in the company.
Danielson/Suzuki was physical theatrics to the maximum. I was trying to come up with how to describe it and that's what just came to mind as they took time to set everything up, allowed the crowd to really taking things up, and then just delivered bomb. The sell Danielson had after that forearm when they first when into dueling shots at each other was pretty remarkable. He just sold that forearm like instant death. I was quite a fan of the counters near the finishing stretch of the match. It was a good much but I enjoyed Omega/Danielson much much more.
It's still kind of intriguing to see Punk come back after a seven-year absence to primarily work as the top attraction for the second show. That said, he's looked pretty damn good in each showing. The fun-loving Punk is thriving and that's going to make it that much more palpable whenever he does inevitably turn.
Bunny and Ruby had pretty good chemistry together.
The main event probably was much better than anticipated, and the crowd certainly helped enhance things across the board. Jericho was perfect in his role in helping steer the ship. It probably helps to minimize his shortcomings to have multi-man matches, too. JDS marking out as Guevara hit that springboard stunner was hilarious but quite awesome. I thought things were rushed by going with Guevara and giving him the TNT championship but he's really coming into his own more as time as come along. ATT really seems to be coming into its own as a group. Jericho being the one to take the fall is pretty notable, as well.

All of his backstage promos are awesome, but I love this evolution of calling himself God's Favorite Champion and then immediately gearing up for war with God the moment he loses the title is both hilarious and awesome. I want to see him crush a jobber on Dynamite or Rampage and just start screaming "WHERE ARE YOU GOD?!" as he's beating the ever living shit out of his poor victim.
I love seeing an ex-champion who is devastated by the loss. He doesn’t just move onto the next thing. He’s out for blood.

The brackets for the men's eliminator tournament are a little odd. As much as I want to see Dustin and Bryan, it seems very strange that Dustin is in it, especially as it's only an 8 man tournament. And some random member of the Dark Order?
The reasoning is probably to give different people a chance to win that are not up in the rankings. Maybe. Not sure. Seems reasonable.
