Mariah/Yuka was okay but yeah just couldn’t take Yuka seriously as a challenger. Willow might be semi-interesting but as great as Mariah is, the face competition just isn’t there right now.
Mox/Darby was fun and did like the NXT callback of Bryan using a tie to choke out Moxley. Fantasy Booker Badger says he gets through Moxley, Christian cashes in but Copeland returns (depending on how long he’s out for) costs him, he gives it to Ospreay once he’s done with the Callis Family and then rides off into the sunset next year.

The Billy Gunn/Hans swerve on Collision was pretty funny. This gimmick has the potential to work in the craziness here rather than WWE.
Also nice how they protected Minoru Suzuki rather than Jack just pin him, also adds to his Scapegoat character. Also no Nigel this week but that could be him just selling the match with Bryan. I’d love if they could do a Jericho deal where he can commentate yet still wrestle now and again.

There’s no 20 minute time limit on the belt. Only limit is no one allowed at ringside.

i bet okada/danielson goes on last, with the first 20 minutes expiring right at the top of the hour or shortly after, and then they go another 10-15 minutes for the overrun.

AEW is going nowhere for a bit with the new deal. Probably too many Dusty finishes for the 5th Anniversary show, but I like where most of it is going.
What bothers me is that Batgirl had a $90 million budget and they wouldn't release it because some people thought it was mediocre. But they're going to give AEW half a billion over 5 years? Edit: Shit I forgot about Coyote v. Acme getting cancelled as well.
They should've used that money to make House of Dragons 2nd season better/longer.
Ricochet was a waste of money now everybody works at a fast pace and hits clean spots. He's been lapped by people with a personality. I can't imagine pushing him over a Rush or Beast Mortos.

agreed on ricochet, he adds little to the product and the very last thing in the world AEW needs is more poeple on the roster. at this point unless it's cody or roman reigns, i think just about anyone in wrestling they can sign is a net deficit to the product because their biggest problem is having way too many people to effectively feature any with enough consistency to get them over and get the audience really involved in their stories.
that said, i'm somewhat into lashley coming in because AEW could use a big guy who actually wrestles like a big guy instead of the now tired "big guy who wrestles like a cruiserweight"
