Fiction Fight-The Final-MTH (HIM) vs. KDESTINY (ASH)
@mth (HIM) vs. @kdestiny (ASH)
On paper, these two are strangers. HIM and Ash. Ash and HIM.
But are they not perfect for each other?
Sometimes the world looks perfect,
Nothing to rearrange.
Sometimes you just get a feeling
Like you need some kind of change.
The world will indeed change. HIM is an evil bastard. Without heroes, he has overtaken the world. His power is almost unknowable.
No matter what the odds are this time,
Nothing's going to stand in my way.
This flame in my heart,
Like a long lost friend
Gives every dark street a light at the end.
Ash has saved the world. He's stared the Evil and the Dead right in the face, and then turned that face into paste.
Standing tall, on the wings of my dream.
Rise and fall, on the wings of my dream.
Someone is about to take the championship. The dreams of HIM and Ash can't coexist. One must rise. One must fall.
The rain and thunder
The wind and haze
I'm bound for better days.
It's my life and my dream,
Nothing's going to stop me now
These participants have both weathered the storm. One has brought the apocalypse. The other has faced it. But they've never faced each other. They may be strangers, but they're made for each other. Fiction Fight now prepares these perfect strangers to meet for the first, and final, time
The winner shall be crowned at the home of the King

The coin flip reveals that HIM will have the first post, and Ash can respond anytime after that. The combatants are limited to three posts, one introduction and two rebuttals, and as was said earlier, they have 5 DAYS to complete these posts. Each post has a 350 word limit, but can have unlimited pictures and videos. First post for each man is for an introduction, and then rebuttals can begin from there. Abuse of this rule or the word limit may result in disqualification. Once both men have entered all three posts and I have closed the debate, voting will commence immediately, and all of you are firmly encouraged to join in the voting. Any question should be directed to the Fiction Fight Discussion Thread, and nobody should be posting in here except for the combatants until the debate is closed.
And one last note. New this year is the opportunity to make a challenge to the judges if you feel that your opponent is bending the rules, or giving themselves powers beyond what is reasonable for their character. To do this, add a line at the end of your post that begins with CHALLENGE: and then state your case in a sentence or two. The judges will convene to decide the outcome.
Good Night and Good Fight.

Respect where it's due, my opponent didn't make it this far on a fluke. Both the character and the debater behind him are skilled and formidable in their own right. Having said that, however, Ash is not formidable enough to defeat HIM. Sure, Ash has experience fighting and defeating things that are similar to HIM. Plenty of evil, demonic, dark magic-type creatures have met their demise at the business end of his boomstick. I'm sure my opponent will be quick to point this out. But the things is, that's all they are: similar. You know, like how a poodle is similar to a wolf.
If you've read my previous outings, you're probably familiar with many of HIM's abilities but to quickly review: energy blasts, laser beams, acid spit, size alteration, shapeshifting, reality alteration, flight, teleportation, telekinesis. I suspect Ash has fought some folks who can do one or two of those things. I suspect Ash has not fought someone who can do all of those things.
Also, it occurred to me that I've never mentioned HIM can summon giant monsters so, if I may:
HIM can summon giant monsters.
Ash's success relies on him scoring a serious blow with a gun or a chainsaw but he's just never going to get that opportunity. He'll have his hands full with a giant monster or two, an army of Elvises (HIM brought Bubbles' drawings to life, he could likely do the same to the dozens of Elvis posters throughout Graceland), and maybe some mind-controlled tourists for good measure. And amidst the frenzy, HIM will strike the killing blow.
Now, I've heard it said these battles should be one-on-one but even without that outside help, I need only remind you of HIM's ability to maintain safe distance, camouflage himself for ambush and respite, psychological manipulation, and attack from afar. Ash will do serious damage to the property as he struggles to determine what's real and what's killing him. And then he will be (evil) dead.
