    Favorite M(USIC) TV Show

Fuck the Real World, Road Rules, Teen Mom, and everything in between that has polluted the once beloved MTV. Now, I don't have expanded cable or dish or any of that shit that gives you MTV2, MTV Ninja, MTV Russia, etc. So I don't even care to hear about that stuff as it doesn't really pertain to this thread.

This is the thread where we take it back to the Yo! MTV Raps, 120 Minutes, Headbanger's Ball, The Grind, the list goes on. I want to know, what was your favorite music-related show on MTV. Were you a mark for TRL? Did you used to record Unplugged on your VCR? How about Kennedy hosting Alternative Nation?

For me, it's a tie, straight up, between Yo! MTV Raps and Headbanger's Ball.

*I thought about including Beavis and Butthead as I found a lot of rap and rock bands through that show as weird as it sounds but I don't know if it really fits in with the theme of the shows I mentioned*

Unplugged for sure. Loved that show. I'm still a sucker for unplugged albums.

TRL, I mean if you were in high school in the late 90s and didn't watch TRL, were you ever really alive?

120 Minutes. During the Matt Pinfield era.

Every Sunday Night from 12 to 2 est. I'd come in to school on Monday looking like haggard shit but I'd have seen the premier of the new Garbage video damn it.

It was. But you can start your own VH1 thread. That actually isn't a bad idea....

I really enjoyed 12 Angry Viewers.
I discovered Aphex Twin from this show.

I think it was called Live at the 10 Spot? Saw a full Prodigy concert on there and I think Smashing Pumpkins as well.

The Top 20 Countdown, Beavis And Butt-Head, and Headbangers Ball (both the MTV and MTV2 versions)

A few music shows I enjoyed that aired on other channels:
