Regarding that vote that's just come in. I don't mind it being against me for kdestiny having a better plan but I seemed to be marked down for me not making it one-on-one and incorporating other people. It's not against the rules I believe because it's reasonable to assume other people will be there (in case this case being a tourist location) and there's nothing in the rules to say you can't use them. I consider people being part of the environment.
I haven't looked at it yet, but I used the Tanners last round to be fair, but I guess he did mention they'd be there, maybe it needs to be started outright if there are people there? I don't know.Originally Posted by Badger

Well done kdestiny! I love Ash and hated arguing against him andyou used your last post well. I would've brought more of Joker's weapons if I had another post.

I find it hilarious that you two ended up having the same opponents leading into the semi-final. I also don't think I mentioned that I felt this easily could have turned around with one more round of play. Ash made some points in his last post that I could imagine what your counters would be, but alas, that's the nature of the debate. Good job to both of you, though.

Fantastic job by both of you. Love seeing how far you both took the advantages of your characters. Creative uses and counters all around, and written in a way that was accessible and enjoyable for your audience.

I wasn't marking you down or even counting it against anyone incorporating other people. I was just pointing out how it seemed to be a lot of people's go-to. If your character had some kind of mind control ability it was just assumed there were all these people hanging around to control and do the battle for you.
Just me nitpicking but yeah it didn't really factor into me choosing Ash over Joker. If I remember I just flipped a coin and argued who won the coin toss as the winner lol. My favorite hero v. my favorite villain? Impossible to be unbiased without force.

While that wasn't the final, it certainly felt like it for me. That was tough as fuuuuuck and that's part of why I took a bit of time as I was trying to figure out just how in the hell to even handle it. Ren's just so damn powerful. I went into it assuming my defeat and yet here I am.@Kotre

You both did a fantastic job. Bit disappointed I could not face HIM myself as an unashamed Powerpuff Girls fan, I could have brought up several HIM moments where the Professor didn't feel it worth topay a few bucks for HIM's subpar pancakes.
That one was closer than the vote count.
Both semi-finals absolutely delivered, and should be a great finals.
I went to the well once too often (ie Joker venom). Lesson learned.

Massive well done to mth for that performance. Fucking flawless on the rebuttals, and absolutely earned every bit of that win. It's frustrating to lose a close debate like that, becaue I know for damn sure that I could have won if I responded better. Pissed off at myself for that, but c'est la vie.

You may have only had two official debates, but you really pulled out all the stops against two people who were not pushovers. Both this and the fight with Maui were very close, and were it not for that "moment" comment, I might have leaned more towards you. I know the defeat is frustrating, but be proud of your effort here

Yeah, I wanted there to be more especially with the push part way through to get people to vote early on, but I assume interest was lost completely for most

These debates show the quality and fun of being a Rajah regular. In a very real way, everyone who has read, voted on, or participated in these debates has won.
But in another, a lot more real way, only one person gets to win.

What a final. I honestly felt this was one of the best finals of the bracket you could have had. It fits so well as Virm said. mth, great job with HIM. After your first debate, I had wondered if maybe HIM was OP. But Tao Ren was the perfect counter to that, and you pulled out some debating mastery to shut down Kotre's overwhelming contender. Here, I felt maybe you were unstoppable, but Destiny somehow managed to use some debating mastery himself and managed to trump your argument, if only just barely. This would be one hell of a fight, I'll tell you that much.
And of course, congratulations, kdestiny. You earned your way through this tournament in such a convincing fashion, and I commend you for taking up a challenger when your original opponent backed out. You completely mastered the use of Ash in this competition. Great stuff through and through, and some very memorable visuals of your debates.
And good job to all the new blood and everyone that participated. There weren't any weak debates that I can remember, and all were entertaining to read and see through. If we bring it back next year, I might throw my hat in the ring with some stupid anime character.
