This is Poll 1 in Round 1 and features a random 10 drama series based on the list of 100 we put together last week.

Each poll in round 1 will have 10 series with the top 3 going through from each round. The two highest 4th placed series will also advance to the next round.

Please vote for as many of the series as you'd like.

Here are our nominations in Round 1 Polls 1. I've included a brief run down of them all but have only included awards that the SERIES itself won rather than any actors, directors won etc.

1. Prison Break

3. Black Mirror

4. The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

5. Breaking Bad

8 . Macgyver

Premise: The show follows secret agent, Angus Macgyver, who had specialist skills including making life saving gadgets from everyday objects. He was largely not violent and preferred to use his ingenuity to save himself and others, something which differentiated himself from fellow agents.

9. Law and Order

Premise: At one point the longest running crime drama, the show was split into two parts with the first part investigating a murder and the eventual arrest of a suspect before the second part detailed the prosecution and legal side of the crime.

10. Life On Mars

Premise: The series follows Sam Tyler, a police officer who wakes up in 1970s England after he is involved in a car crash. The main crux of the show was the ambiguity over whether Tyler had died, was comatose or had actually time travelled.

If somebody watched a show and didn't like it they won't vote for it, presumably. But we have no way of knowing how many times that might happen. So, Breaking Bad might be widely watched but if people didn't like it they won't vote for it and it won't move on.

Well yes to a degree but I've seen 7 of the 10 listed in the first poll so I'm picking my favourite of those. The most widely watched ones will eventually have to face each other eventually which will lead to decisions being made past the point of 'which has been watched the most'.

Also, as I said in the main thread, this is about opening up some new dramas to people as well as ranking them.

I liked it quite a bit, but think it is a little overhyped to be honest.

I'll vote it through to the next round, but if I were only allowed to make 1 selection, Deadwood wouldn't be it.

Breaking Bad is also the strongest show I've ever seen continuity wise. Amazing attention to details.

I'm just not super into t.v. shows to begin with. Mad Men was another big show on AMC that people were really into. I watched 1 episode, it was lame.

Wasn't able to vote but I do agree with the results. Breaking Bad would be my choice here followed by Deadwood then Black Mirror (though I'm not sure if I would call it a drama). Newsroom is good stuff and Life on Mars is one thats been on my list to watch forever now.

New Black Mirror is going to be bonkers.
