As long as they do 2d cartoon remakes of Pixar films like Toy Story and Up, then it all evens out.

Worth noting Disney gets to use all of the work put into the originals for the shot for shot remakes, make a shitload of money from it, and the people who worked on the originals don't get one red cent of the profit...

So they don't get any royalties when people go back and buy the original? If not, did they not get a big pay day when Disney bought the rights?

I would love to see a 3d reimagining of The Great Mouse Detective. I loved that movie as a kid.

I'm excited for Aladdin. While I don't think that Will Smith can do the Genie as well as Robin Williams did, I think he'll be able to make it his own. I have to laugh at the people freaking out that he's not blue.

Looks fantastic and I'm really looking forward to the last portion or whatever portion of the movie that provides the exposition. It was creative with Get Out and I'm expecting the same for this.

Loved the way that was done. Trailer itself looked great. Just hoping it hasn't revealed too much.

2019 is shaping up to be a wonderful year for me, entertainment wise.

Metallica in January, Foo Fighters in May, and a handful of great movies releasing from start-to-finish, 2019.

    This looks, wonderful.

These movies are getting more and more ridiculous, and I love it.
I'd be down for more spinoffs with the other members of the original cast.

Looks great and absolutely hilarious. Love it. I'm a sucker for these movies. Only thing that sucks is that they killed off Gal Gadot.

Anyone else grow up with the 'Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark' books? The illustrations were the stuff of nightmares. Anyway, that shit's gonna be a movie and I guess they ran some teasers during the Superbowl:

There's potential with that. I like that they didn't show too much in the trailer. Of course they'll probably put out another one that does.

Just saw the new 'Pet Semetary' trailer yesterday. Looks like it could be decent but seemed like it showed a shit load of the film.

I don't agree with the Child's Play remake as the creator of the franchise is still making entries in the original series as well as a TV series to debut. If no new movies had been made for 10 years, and there was nothing going on with it, sure, go ahead make a remake. But I just find it all to be a slap in the face to Don Mancini. I will not be checking it out.

It looks awesome. Seems like it could be a great movie to watch and just turn your mind off but has a backdoor chance of actually being legitimately entertaining.

I'd agree with that. I'm hoping the worst it'll be is a mindless shoot 'em up but I think there's potential for it to be a decent mystery from what the 2nd trailer is showing.

    Mangold, Bale, Damon, Bernthal.

Yeah, you can just crush this movie up and inject it directly into my veins.

As much as I don't like Jesse Eisenberg I did enjoy Zombieland and do have high hopes for the sequel.

Fuck. Yeah. Can't wait for this. The book was good even though I think the guy is lying about Hoffa and JFK, but with this cast I'll watch anything.

This movie is already out as of a week ago but I never heard of it before. But it's a good trailer. And it's wrestling related. Mick Foley and Jake Roberts have cameos.

Mixed up in all of his wacky stories, Shia Lebouf is a thoroughly underrated actor.

I heard he's in the running to play Moon Knight.

And I have to agree....Take away all that bullshit that has nothing to do with his acting ability and he's very good imo. I know a lot of people sight the Transformers movies but those people are looking in the wrong place if that's the movie you want to base someone's acting chops on.

Don't know why it's giving you troubles. I'm always on mobile. Anyway I fixed it for you.

God I hope this one is better than the second one. The first one had a kind of lightning in a bottle/should've been bad but it was really good thing going on.

The second one was just ass.

Loved Interstellar. Throw in Gravity and The Martian - and hopefully this - and this recent run of grounded space-based dramas has been a fuckin blast.

Who doesn't love those guys? And I'm stoked to see this.

But I gotta admit, I feel kinda like I'm watching Scorsese, Pesci, Pacino, and DeNiro getting the band back together for some old hits more than previewing a terrific new film.

Like I said though, the reviews are raving and so hopefully once the atmosphere of the full film settles in I'll become immersed.

Yeah I can see what you mean. But like you said, let's hope once the film gets going it doesn't feel that way. And it's like 3.5 hours long so I'm just hoping it doesn't drag out. By the way, take most of it with a grain of salt. The real life Irishman was a bad dude, I'm sure, but a lot of his claims seem...suspect, let's say.

Looks good. I like that they’ve not shoehorned the original cast into the trailer for a few extra likes.. a bit of a Goonies kind of vibe, which I don’t hate. Plus involving Spengler into the story is a nice touch after losing Ramis a few years back.

Looks ok. After Stranger Things and IT, I'm a little over kids (Finn in particular) in spooky stuff. More excited about Wonder Woman 84, though...

    Nostalgia sells.

Looks like a glorified Netflix trailer. Not funny, scary, or anything really... just a pretty thing that says "Hey, remember that old thing?"

And kids... I'm so over kids.

I think the Ghostbusters and WW84 trailers both look good. With Ghostbusters, I'm not too bothered by it having kids as main characters. I can understand the Stranger Things/IT fatigue but whatever, the story seems solid enough. I would have liked to see Rudd, Rogen, Franco and Hannibal Burress be the 4 leads over these kids, more matching the tone of the original, but that could also be dreadfully unoriginal if they went that route.

I'm ok with the Ghostbusters kids version as long as they don't act like idiots. I also think the trailer is doing a great job of showcasing them, so you sorta give a shit about them from the jump. The threat has to be good though. As funny as Ghostbusters was, the shit Gozer was doing was pretty scary.

Sometimes you shouldn’t go back to a franchise and we’ve been burnt before. But the aerial scenes look outstanding and Cruise is actually flying a plane at times. Fuck it I’m excited for this.

This one seems like it could just rehash a lot of the first one (which I hadn’t seen until a year ago) and pretty much still work perfectly fine because the cinematography and effects are able to add more kick to it.

I understand the appeal and I know how much people love the first movie but this is doesn't interest me at all. That said I know I'm going to see it in the theater because my wife loved the trailer and can't wait to see it.

It's a solid trailer but my interest level in Top Gun is low. I missed the boat on the original, having never watched it in full until some point a few years ago. I could see this flopping, I mean even though it looks good I just think the fighter pilot thing is very 80s. And I'm not sure if the nostalgia will be strong enough. My early guess: it only does about $500 million, which isn't shabby but won't make it very profitable.

I enjoy the Mission Impossible series but I've had enough of it. I watched Fallout recently and it was fine. It didn't live up to the 97 rating on rotten tomatoes. Putting out another 2 in back to back summers seems like overkill.

Looks great. I know nothing of the character Morbius but that seems like a cool modern vampire origin flick in the styling of Batman Begins (okay maybe I'm just thinking of that because of the bats involved here). I need to see Venom at some point and get on board this new Sony universe. It will be interesting to see how they connect it to Spider Man and the MCU. People are assuming Keaton at the end of the trailer is Vulture, yea? I doubt Spidey will appear in this but I could see Venom 2 being the movie where they tie him in and have him appear.

It's Vulture. The cool thing about Sony is they're doing this crossover stuff with the MCU, loaning characters like Spider Man is only going to help both companies. There's already basically confirmed talk that Spidey will be in Venom 2.

Morbius is awesome. Always been a fan and I think people are going to be caught off guard with how good this character is and I think the same about the movie. This seems more up Jared Leto's alley than that weirdo Joker bullshit from Suicide Squad.

Definitely digging the Tobey Maguire Spider Man in the background.

Why is that the Tobey Maguire spidey? I thought that was just the Tom Holland version.

I do think it's cool that Sony is running with it but there are complications here in regard to canon. Mainly, will the Sony movies address the snap? Ideally, their stories wouldn't need to make a stance either way on whether that stuff happened in their universe. They could just ignore it. But it could become a hindrance to the writers if they're trying not to write anything that would conflict with the big events of the MCU. Or they could just willfully let those conflicts happen in their stories, because who cares?, but that could be tough for viewers to swallow that Holland's Spider Man exists in this universe but the events of the MCU do not.

I mean, the existence of the other avengers would be easy enough to gloss over. It's only the worldwide catastrophe of the snap that would be hard to ignore.

They apparently have a script done for it. Just a matter of getting everyone's schedules in order.

Someone asked that same question and a dude on an comic book Instagram page I follow said that it's from the cover of one of the Raimi Spider Man movies. I I don't know if it's true or not but it was my favorite version so I'd like to believe it's Maguire and not Holland haha.

I think it depends on what they want to incorporate. I mean, a mega spoiler at the end of Far From Home is what links these 2 "universes" together. It'll be interesting how they incorporate Tom Holland into the mix. If we focus on the snap for example, by the time he gets into the Sony stuff (Venom 2 I believe is his 1st appearance), there's probably enough distance to where Sony won't have to even acknowledge it because they won't have to.

For example, does every Marvel movie going forward have to acknowledge the snap? I hope not. Just like I hope we don't have to dwell on the death of Tony Stark going forward because that was huge as well.

True but I don't mean address it as in talk about it for no reason, I mean address it as in write around it so there aren't inconsistencies. Like for instance if the Mobius script involved him growing up, going to college, becoming a scientist etc etc, if it spanned the 2018 time period, then that's where it might be odd if it's glossed over. The same goes for future marvel movies. They don't need to talk about the snap in every movie but they would need to address it when the plot dictates. I bet that we will get some sort of explanation as to why the Eternals sat out the Infinity War.

The snap happened in 2018, Spider Man Far From Home takes place in 2023 due to the time jump. So the fact that Mobius might take place in 2023 just adds another thing the writers need to be aware of.

To be clear I don't want them to or think they should mention the snap at all, because it could easily be offputting and weird to bring it up, but they may need to tapdance around it somehow.

But I don't think they need to acknowledge the snap for Morbius unless it has SOMETHING to do with his story. For example, if Shang Chi doesn't acknowledge the snap, I'm not going to be negative to it. And that's part of the MCU. Unless it's relevant to the story.

There will be fans who will overthink this when it comes to the "crossover" but ultimately the crossover has less to do with what the MCU is doing and more to do with Sony making bank and using the platform Disney has to get their characters more exposure. I mean I think it's already happening, Venom did great at the box office and the movie was OK at best....but it was a Marvel movie, doesn't matter if it was Mickey Mouse or not, still Marvel.
