This trailer has been out for a few weeks but I only just saw it. The first one was good, although I found it to be overrated (it wasn't THAT good). In any event, this is a pretty solid trailer for the sequel.

I’m a huge mark for the Fast series and am totally willing to suspend disbelief for 2+ hours of cool shit, but I’m really going to need them to explain A) Han being alive and B) Dom/Mia having a brother.

We were all led to believe that Han got killed, but somehow he survived the bullet/explosion/amnesia and is suddenly capable of finding where this world class crew has been hiding?

Eight movies and not a single mention (I’m rewatching the series, have completed 1/2/4/5) of the third Toretto sibling? Who also has allegedly been running in the same line of work as Dom’s crew?

    Bruh...

I mean anyone saying A Quiet Place was any sort of horror classic is off base but it was enjoyable enough. Put it in the same class as Signs - fairly mediocre but a fun popcorn monster flick with an intriguing premise that never really goes anywhere deep. Swing away Merrell - they're allergic to water! Lol.

Does this movie look stupid as hell and kind of sad that almost 50 year old men are acting like this? Yes.

Am I going to see it? Also yes.

Been a fan of this dumb shit since my senior year in high school, no need to stop now.

Eh I don’t think it looks stupid or sad. Good trailer. These guys are nothing if not consistent when they put something out under the Jackass title. Always fun.

I saw Jackass 2 on opening weekend and it was closer to a rock concert than a movie. People were flipping out and running around. Lots of drunk people.

Jack Ass is still the only movie I've ever been kicked out of. I didn't even do anything either, the group I was with somebody jumped in the air and they told us just to turn right around. I didn't even make it in the theater. They weren't dealing with any kind of rowdyness.

Not a big loss but it's sad that Bam is so fucked up right now that he wasn't allowed to be in it. And who would have thought Steve-O would be the model of how to turn your life around? Good for him.

Yea. Bam has long rubbed me the wrong way. Steve-O has addiction and demons but has always come off like a good guy regardless of the fact that he’s now sober, whereas Bam has addiction and demons and seems like an asshole. So I don’t mind him being fired from a viewer’s perspective but I do hope he gets it together, because “Bam Margera dead from overdose/suicide” is a headline that seems all too likely in the next few years. He seems very unhinged given the restraining order taken out against him by the director.

To his credit, he was obviously a huge part of Jackass and had some very funny bits.

Not incredibly stoked about this, even though it looks miles and miles better than what we got in 2016. I'm just over this nostalgia trend. This trailer wants to tug at your memory strings so hard and it is nice to see these things again, but I'm not digging the whole clueless, gifted kids saving the world. Not in a Ghostbusters movie. Hollywood thought women would work, it flopped, so now they're like... how about kids eh?

The premise: Hey, what's a Ghostbusters? Whoa, that looks cool. I'm a Ghostbusters now! I'm the best Ghostbusters now! I know everything about Ghostbusters!

Reitman: ""I knew I wanted to make a movie about a family. This is a movie about the Spengler family. The Sengler family is disconnected and this movie is about why."

Ok, now I'm out. Aww it's about familyyyyy, awwwwww. Fart.

Yea a family ghostbusters movie is kinda lame. I wish they made the Wiig/McCarthy version actually good because they had the cast they just didn’t have the right script or direction. Now we get this Disney style version. Hopefully it’ll be good but there’s no chance it captures the vibe of the originals.

    Dune looks good, though.

I rather enjoyed the 2016 Ghostbusters at the time. In retrospect, maybe it sucks a bit more than I originally thought but it still seems better than this one.

it looks fine. i'm kinda ok with them not trying to just replicate a ghostbusters-esque comedy like you would expect or like the 2016 reboot tried. at least this way it can kind of stand on it's own merits instead of being immediately compared to the first two on the same level. the idea of shifting genres within a franchise is actually pretty cool, but whether it works as a final product we'll obviously have to wait and see.

They don't need a huge special effects budget if they want to show creepy scary ghost-like creatures. Just bring out the surviving original cast members without makeup... (except Sigourney Weaver still looks stunning) RIP to Harold Ramis.

I remember back in 2019 that this was in the works, and they had planned to release it as Ghostbusters 2020. I understand the pandemic putting a hold on a lot of things, but it probably means that this movie sucks and didn't test well

I've never seen the 2016 movie. My best friend and I are pretty huge fans of Ghostbusters. He finally had a son last year and named him Oscar if that tells you anything lol. He was a fan of it, I just haven't brought myself to it just yet.

I figured that's how the Stranger Things pitch happened.

"Imagine Ghostbusters, but with kids!" To the point where they even rocked the costume in one of the episodes.

The only part that I see "Stranger Things" is homeboy from the show. This movie looks just as much like IT if that's what we're going off of.

Remember in 1996 when they were talking about doing "Ghostbusters Jr." with David Spade and Chris Farley?

Yeah? Get a time machine, use it, and go make that.

That, or get Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones and do that Men In Black/Ghostbusters crossover we've always wanted.

Or Jack Black and his fat, bald buddy from Tenacious D as "Ghostbuster interns".

    Anything but this kids crapola.

You guys are too pessimistic. After so many years, I didn't expect a full sequel after Harold Ramis died and the guys are going into their seventies. These trailers have intrigued me and I feel this might be one of the first of these sqeuels/remakes that might not entirely rely on nostalgia to make up for their shitty writing.

I completely hated Space Jam 2, and while I liked Coming 2 America, I do realize it relied way too heavily on nostalgia for its plot. This doesn't seem to be going down that same path, although its target audience might be younger than us.

That was Dan Aykroyd the end of the trailer with the “We’re closed”, right?

Definitely. He had the Ray's Occult shop in the 2nd movie and not to sound too crazy but that was definitely Dan's pudgy hand.

I'll be there. I'm eyeing this as my family's return to movie theaters and if I'm brave enough might even try to bring Mav. Kid has literally watched the first multiple times and is obsessed with all things scary or Halloween. Most kids go nuts over Christmas, my boy has been watching any kind of Halloween special he can find and loves "spooo-kie" things. My grandfather used to deck his house out for Halloween. He was the one guy that went nuts on your block with all sorts of decor and whatever. I wonder if Mav gets it from him.

Take your kid to see "Halloween Kills". He'd probably love it.

The most recent trailer for that flick is basically a porno scene where the guy fucks the chick, gets her down on her knees, and has his dick aimed at her face, but it cuts before he blows his load.

The whole thing's a damn 2.5 minute murder cock tease that cuts out before the juicy bits.

That one might be a bit much but something tells me he'd laugh it off. If something scares him a bit he grabs this hose head he found in our shed (found this thing and it's become his go to toy) and aims it at the TV and makes buzz sounds like he's shooting it. When whatever leaves the screen he shouts "I did it!" and celebrates like he chased it away. I could just see him doing that in the theater.

The new Ghostbusters trailer feels more like Ghostbusters than Ghostbusters 2 did.

Reportedly Netflix's most expensive movie so far.

I'll definitely watch it. I love Ryan Reynolds, possibly too much.

Yeah, meh. At least it will be on HBO Max. I still haven't watched the new Space Jam though.

If you already have HBO Max, you don't need to watch it. A glorified HBO Max commercial with Lebron.

In the land of awesome trailers, that was just fine. But overall it looks pretty lackluster. Comparing it to Reloaded’s trailer tho, this one doesn’t hold a candle.

I’m not looking forward to Neo re-learning what the Matrix is and learning a mystery that we already know.

Looks like it could be a pretty interesting premise. Not exactly a film reboot, but a program reboot.

Hoping there are many more layers in that way than the trailer - which on it's own looks enticing - is letting on as a mere nostalgia-fest.

Will we find out Larry Fishburne is actually involved after all in a Matt Damon/Interstellar-esque secret? Perhaps he's using an encrypted avatar for espionage sake.

the editing and cohesion of that trailer is all over the place.

so i loved that trailer for the new one. having really no feelings whatsoever toward a new matrix film, by the end of it, i definitely felt invested enough to wanna see it. the action looks great, and with twenty years of effects technology progression, we hopefully won't get stuff like weird rubber looking neo and agent smith. the use of 'white rabbit' was pretty epic. count me in.

I’m actually a lot more invested in this now than I was when the film was announced, even if I’m still wary of all these big franchises being revisited.

I liked the black cat and rabbit references. Thought it was very intriguing that they seem to be showing The Matrix on a screen at one point. Even though the sequels have a lot of problems, I’m interested to see how things are picked up after the end of Revelations. What happened to the peace between humans and machines and were humans allowed to leave the Matrix if they wanted to? Is there still an Architect and Oracle? Does Zion still exist?

I think it would be mad to not have Fishburne involved - hoping he at least appears at the end or in a mid-credits sting to set up the inevitable sequel.

I would be up for a encrypted avatar for Morpheus. I really like that idea and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II seemed to be channeling Morpheus in that preview.

I saw the original three in theaters so I'm sure I'll go for this one too.

    https://movieweb.com/the-matrix-4-sy...canon-erasure/

Article hints that the synopsis for the new Matrix might erase the second and third films.

Makes me even more curious at what this movie will do.

    1. Sucks they missed the Halloween cut off.

    2. I expected to say I wasn't interested when I started the trailer but bringing back the old cast does make me want to see it.

I'm not whatsoever the demographic for that movie but it nonetheless looked about as bland and basic as a movie can.

I also never got the fuss over the original, so.

I like to think that really shity remakes or sequels never takes away from the original. This is one of the few examples that makes me rethink that......

The Batman looks awesome. That movie is going to be huge, or as huge as a movie can be post-Covid.

    The other two movies: meh.

Peacemaker looks solid. With James Gunn on board as writer/creator/whatever, I'm sure it'll be quality. I'm not a big Cena fan so that kinda puts me off on it, but maybe this will be the series that wins me over on him as an actor.

Hard to believe that's Colin Farrel in there.

And I've got my fingers crossed for a Heath Ledger-level showing from Paul Dano as Riddler.

I can't fucking wait for Scream. I've always loved those movies and have been waiting for the trailer. Definitely think they gave a lot away in the trailer but think some of that footage has to be a red herring for the actual movie. I feel like one of the main three's time is up. Most would suspect Dewey. I'm thinking Gale finally gets it though.

Black Adam looks meh like Fro said. Just don't think there was much to be excited about in that teaser.

Same agreement with the Flash...UNTIL Batman shows up. I figured they wouldn't give me much Keaton in the teaser but just the sight of the back of his head and the Batmobile under a sheet made my arm hair stand up. I can't wait to see where this Batman ended up and it's about time WB milked this Bat for a nostalgic cash grab. I think WB knew the movie was looking like shit when they were writing and knew it needed a tremendous shot in the arm.

Peacemaker looks good and with Gunn in charge I have no doubt it'll be quality.

The Batman looks fantastic. While in my eyes Keaton is my movie Bat, everything looks and feels great. I'm interested to finally get another Penguin in film and Colin looks great and sounds fun. Devito is forever the man there though and has set a high bar.

It really does. While Robert's Bruce/Batman looks eh ok, not great not terrible, everything else seems to look tip top. The Flash trailer even with the Batman teases didn't do much for me, neither did Peacemaker.

I was wondering why they were switching voices from Tim Allen to Chris Evans, but I guess the idea is this is the human who is the basis for the toy. The human astronaut didn't voice the toy, hence different voices.

Anyway looks pretty good for a Pixar flick.

The Venom/Spider-Man stuff seems duct taped on. They want you to know this is a Spider-Man character. They really really want you to know that.

"Eh" really does sum this up.

It looks solid. The last two were not great and I still have a hard time wrapping my head around our lead characters in this trilogy. The dinosaurs are unnatural creatures who threaten the entire ecosystem of the world, not just human existence but surely countless other species that the dinosaurs would quickly drive to extinction. So Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard being all buddy buddy with them doesn't really play for me. The Dinosaur Protection Group should have been the villains of Fallen Kingdom with BDH being a well-intentioned lunatic and Pratt debating her on the merits of her mission, and the movie should have ended with BDH realizing the potentially apocalyptic mistake she made. This isn't like Avatar where the military complex is evil and the conservationists are good. It's the opposite. John Hammond did something horrible and Ian Malcolm was the voice of reason in the original trilogy. He was always right. Somewhere along the way it got flipped and Fallen Kingdom was a mess because of it.

This third film being the one where humans are fighting for survival against dinosaurs around the globe makes sense as far as the storyline goes, but I still hate our lead characters. BDH should get eaten. Pratt should tearfully put a bullet in Blue's head for the sake of the world. But these things won't happen.

Haven't seen any of the new Jurassic movies, and even with the OG cast in it seems like more of the same same. Callbacks. Just callbacks and homages and member berries, everywhere you go now days. It all feels like fan fiction.

This looks like it might be...good? I like that they're trying something different and they're leaning into some odd stuff. Some good people in the cast. There might be something decent here.

It's like Disney saw Space Jam 2 and thought it could be redone with a Roger Rabbit theme. Could be interesting, though because this was by far my favorite cartoon growing up.

I've seen people speculating an explanation for the voices being different is because like how the real voice actors for the old show had their voices sped up in post, the same goes for the real CnD in this universe. It might be a joke in the flick.

Probably. I wish it was an actual Chip n Dale story rather than another "insert name" in the real world gimmick. I feel like we've seen this movie already, just with other properties.
