NY Sports Talk Radio Host Arrested

Not sure how many of you guys are in the NY area but one of the most popular sports talk radio shows in the area is "The Boomer and Carton Show." Carton was arrested Wednesday morning by the FBI for running a Ponzi scheme using concert tickets as the bait.

Turns out he was pretty successful at it, as he and his partner made $5.6 million off their investors. Turns out Carton was up to his neck in gambling debts, both at casinos and what is presumed to be illegal gambling. Last Christmas he paid off nearly a million bucks to casinos, and had another half million due next week. He also had $825K due ASAP to somebody else.

He faces 45 years in jail, so he'll probably get zero jail time, a few years probation, and a fine since he's a "celebrity."

The best part was that Boomer had no idea what happened at first, and was complaining on-air about Carton taking the day off yesterday.

My question is how does his wife feel about him paying off millions in gambling debts? Can't imagine that went over well. I mean she had to have known he didn't pay off $1 million right before Christmas on his salary.

My guess is she had no clue about the debt or the money.
