I don't think it does. You're almost locked into the 2 seed because you beat me. Win out and you get the bye but you can probably lose one and still make it. A defeat for Torn would have been bigger because if he then happened to lose to me in week 17 he drops into the Wildcard round.

It does as when it comes to me and Torn the games are always really close and I think even a slight advantage like home field matters (Ok it didnt this week but I think that is the first time we have played where the game has been won by the away team.)

I don't think me beating Torn would make any difference. He has the tie break over you and you have the tie break over me. Only question left really is which of Mikey or I get the number three seed.

Im just bored of it to be honest.
Was halfway through my game with the Vikings, winning 28-12 or something, nice and comfortable (with a beautiful kick return for a TD) but then realised I was trying to do some long bombs just to keep up with the ridiculous scores this week (100 and 85 was it?), that got picked off and just sat back and thought what the fuck am I doing? I'm just going through the motions. and rage quit from a dominant position which is stupid. All my TDs were either massive runs,a mad kick return and a stupidly easy long bomb. Our game is broken and I have RFF to prepare along with the Women's Euros to watch and loads of other stuff to be doing I just realized its not worth it. Its just too easy to go to broken plays as well when under pressure.
I'm at the same point. Its not fun anymore, it's become a chore. Mostly due to the fact that I have less free time now. Just not a fan of using the little I have to play Madden
Lads I said at the start of the season if you want to quit just quit. It's no issue and perfectly understandable. 18 is only a few weeks away.

Only thing I'd say is if you're not interested in playing at all can you leave or put yourself on auto? And if you are just going to play PvP games say it in here and I'll auto you week to week if you're against the AI. I don't want to slow the game down for the rest of us waiting for games that aren't going to get played.

Its not just one high scoring game. Its every week. Im not even saying there is anything wrong with that, if you lot like it then fine, its just not for me.
The game (or our game whatever) is broken.
Stop making me feel bad because the AI kept fumbling the ball against me. Quitting on the back of that result, when as you say there are results like it every week, suggests that had I not scored that many that week you'd still be playing.
Yes the game vs the AI is broken, yes we wanted to address that with sliders but weren't allowed and yes absolutely drop out but this isn't week 4. You've two games until you get a bye in the Play-Offs. Just play it through, go on. You threaten to quit RFF a few times per season over less than this.
I fully admit that I've had some ridiculous AI results this season. I've been trying out different things and seeing what is effective, and at times it's got out of hand
I've had a few 40-50 point games but usually in games when I've given up 30-40pts and needed to stay ahead. I've only had the one mental score I think.

Its not off the back of that! It was just the final straw. To be fair I have been moaning about it for ages, since season 2 I would guess.
I just cant be bothered with it right now when I have loads to do, I am sorting out RFF stuff and tons of work to do, got a couple of personal things to deal with and just really don't have the time. As with anything I would make the time if I was enjoying it but I am not as I am finding the results to be stupid. That's not anybodies fault (and certainly not yours) it's just how it is.
Of course I will be playing in 18, and I cant wait to do so.
